The Joker's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=115Zelda: Windwaker (GC) - Mon, 20 Nov 2006 11:45:49https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=327Because I have no idea what is going on in the story, I decide to start a new game. The story opens off giving a bit of background as well as an introduction to the charaters in the game. It appears that Link isn't really the same heroic Link, but instead a boy who is on his way to become a hero, as he receives the "Hero's Garb", which is the customary Link outfit. Seeing as though it is a bit too peaceful, something is bound to go wrong. As I predicted, something does go wrong and of course I have to say a girl. Well, on of the interesting pieces is how the story correlates with what I have to do. Since only one person still practices weaponry, I have to acquire my sword from him (Orca). Upon completing a few training levels, I am given a sword. Now I have a weapon, so of course I can proceed to save the girl.Mon, 20 Nov 2006 11:45:49 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=327&iddiary=997The Sims 2 (PC) - Mon, 20 Nov 2006 00:02:02https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=332Tree's advance on Thorn works, but just to be a bit more devious, the other three sisters kiss him as well. SO I begin the competition to see which girl can get Thorn to "Woohoo" them first. To be fair, I rotate the girls actions so that it isn't unfair. After a while, all four have a 100 relationship with Thorn. Now, since a Female Sim can propose to a Male Sim, I have to decide which or the Plant Sisters will marry Thorn. After contemplating, I decide that Rose and Thorn would make the best combination. However, this is a difficult decision because Thorn would become A. Plant, and that really doesn't go to well with Rose. While thinking about this, I make Flower go into the hot tub and call Thorn over. Since the hot tub is a "Woohoo" spot, they proceed to do so. This action does not change anything, but it calls my attention to the fact that Sims can have sex before being married, and without sleeping in the same bed together. This is an interesting turn of events, but I proceed with the story.Mon, 20 Nov 2006 00:02:02 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=332&iddiary=995The Sims 2 (PC) - Sun, 19 Nov 2006 23:50:31https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=332Sun, 19 Nov 2006 23:50:31 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=332&iddiary=994The Sims 2 (PC) - Sun, 19 Nov 2006 17:52:21https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=332Thorn is stuck with the decision to either keep talking to Tree or to advance to Flower. I decide to greet Flower and talk to both her and Tree at the same time. The conversation is going fairly well, but a joke I make to Flower does not go to well, so I concentrate more on Tree. To make it a bit more exciting, I decide to call Rose over. She is busy, so that plan fails. I think ask Tree to leave, since our friendship rating is in the 80s. This give me time to talk with Flower. However, since it gets late, she leaves. The next day, I invite Flower over, and to my surprise, she brings Bush with her. Well, I take this as an opportunity to talk to both and get the friendship ratings up higher. Once I get to the 80s with Flower, I ask her to leave. I then call Rose once again, and she comes this time. So I am able to talk to both girls at the same time. After a while, I get their ratings up and now I am able to make moves on all four sisters. I then save and switch over to control the Plant Sisters. It is about noon, and I have Rose call Thorn over. This should be exciting since all four girls are interested in him. Thorn arrives, and I get Flower to give him a hug, followed by a hug by Rose and a hug by Bush. Just to be bold, I get Tree to kiss him.Sun, 19 Nov 2006 17:52:21 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=332&iddiary=991The Sims 2 (PC) - Sun, 19 Nov 2006 17:42:19https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=332The Sims is a rather interesting game. For starters, there is no story line. In addition, all of the characters can be used by the player. Because of this, I created two separate houses. The first house was home to a single male, A. Thorn; the second was home to the 4 Plant sisters, Flower, Bush, Tree, and Grass. My goal is to use the male character and have all three sisters fight over him as he works his way into their hearts. This is a story I call: Sisterly Love. I began the game playing as Thorn. After building a small house and using the remaining finances to furnace it, two of the Plant Sisters, Rose and Tree, came to great Thorn. He talked to them both and they seemed to enjoy it. Thorn then cooked dinner for the two of them and continued to converse. Being more interested in Rose at the time, Thorn diverts most of his attention to her and they quickly become friends. Will this cause bad blood between Tree and Rose, or does Thorn have a trick up his sleeve? The next day, Thorn calls Tree over and they talk and joke around for a bit before Flower comes to introduce herself. I stopped her to think about how to approach Flower with Tree in the house. In this one, Ryder and CJ are required to first steal a Uhaul type vehicle and ride to some guy's home and steal a few things. This is a new gameplay event in the GTA series and requires more stealth and strategy than the previous missions. As it turns out, they give you a noise meter to let you know when you are making too much noise, so it isn't exactly stealth in terms of MGS, but it'll have to do for now. Also, to talk as much trash as he does, Ryder really isn't that great. He stands by the van while I, CJ, am forced to get my hands dirty. The mission is not hard at first, its more of a "watch the noise meter" versus anything else. However, it gets tougher when I am forced to go to the second floor and steal items. Even though I walk slowly, the noise meter is more likely to go up. I steal a few things and then the unthinkable happens. I tap the button to hard and run a bit. This makes the meter jump and since I am right outside of his door, it alerts him and I fail the mission. Oh well, better luck next time I guess. I did the very first mission. It was interesting mostly because it was on bicycles. So I am riding along with some members of the gang. I unofficially raced them because one of the characters, Ryder I believe, says that he is faster. Well I speed past him, but since I have no idea which way we are suppose to be going he takes a turn that catches me by surprise, so I am forced to turn arouns and follow. After a while, we stop and a rival gang group approaches us in car and begin to open fire. I ride quickly, be I run into a car and fly off the bike. I run back to the only to be shot a few times by the other gang members, but I am able to get on the bike and ride out of danger. I eventually catch up to Ryder once again, and I zoom past him to the target. So not only did I complete the mission, but I beat the guy who said he was better than me, even though he didn't know we were racing.Sun, 19 Nov 2006 02:30:12 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=325&iddiary=984The Sims (PC) - Sat, 18 Nov 2006 19:51:41https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=328The Sims is a rather interesting game. Just for the fun of it, I started playing from someone else's save file. It put me in the role of a Young Link and my task was to use these "jumping flowers" to get to the top of a platform. I first had to defeat a few enemies, but that wasn't too difficult. Once I figured out how to use the first flower, I started my path up to the highest platform. Unfortunately, After making it to the second platform, I fell off and lost a bit of health. I tried again, and got the same result. After pondering for a bit, I realized that I had the wind waker. Being unfamiliar with the story, I tried to use it to awake some wind and float to the top. No such luck. I then tried to use the flower again, and this time I accidentally accessed the "para-leaf" and used that to glide. After repeating this process about 8 more times, I reached the top and concluded my play.Sat, 18 Nov 2006 19:35:43 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=327&iddiary=976Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - Fri, 17 Nov 2006 12:07:07https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=325 Today I played Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. I started from the beginning of the game and noticed how the police officers interact with the main character. The inform him that he is a suspect in a criminal act, even though he had been in Liberty City at the time. He is told not to lead Los Santos, or he will be arrested. As the play starts, I am given a small amount of money and allowed to roam around. I hop on a near-by bike and proceed to ride down the street. I hop over a few cars and ride to the bike park. Because of the freedom in the game, I don't have to worry about time, well at least not right now. I try to pull of a few tricks, but I end up doing more damage to CJ than anything else. After leaving, I ride around and decide I will try to leave Los Santos. Since the roads are blocked, I swim over to one of the other sections of San Andreas. I think I am free, but as soon as I hit land, I receive 4 Stars. Well, seeing as I have no weapons, I decide to swim back to Los Santos, but I am gunned down by a Helicopter. I guess Officer Sam Jackson was serious about CJ not leaving Los Santos.Fri, 17 Nov 2006 12:07:07 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=325&iddiary=971
