pcouri's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=1249Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Mon, 17 May 2010 11:20:36https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4240i played today and realized that this game was long. other than that it was fun again. but it got a little repetitive, i made it into hell and was battling all the people/demons/imps down there. The message that i thought was coming across got lost on the way into hell. Before i thought that this game was going to have a message, even if it was preachy at least it would show that some games while they may be an escape from reality that can at least be grounded in it a little still. The game took what was and still is a touchy and relevant topic and made kids (i feel that adults would not be playing an RPG especially one called S.C.M.) hopefully talk about it some. By getting kids to talk about how and why this happened and continues to happen, maybe the next shooting can be prevented or at the least the kids involved might change their minds or maybe get noticed before something terrible happens. Bad game Relevant message Good experienceMon, 17 May 2010 11:20:36 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4240&iddiary=7920Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Sun, 16 May 2010 16:19:46https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4240I did not get to the game yesterday, but when i came back to it today with an open mind it went much better. As i moved around and just had to fight/kill people instead of try and avoid i was able to look at the game as a whole. It is better than i thought, even though my resolution is off and some of the words are fuzzy the point still comes across. In this game these kids feel they have no choice but to go through and kill everyone, while i think that you always have a choice even if it is a hard or terrible selection. In addition to not having a choice, they take the time to emphasize that these kids want to do this act and are enjoying it. As I went through and took care of most of the inside i decided to go back out and reload and get more health. even though it doesn't seem like anyone would be able to hurt us since we have rifles and knives and they "brace for an attack." So far it is an average game in terms of play. In terms of its poignancy as of now it seems like its gonna make some preachy point at the end which could be good. Especially since most games are just games and don't try and send a message.Sun, 16 May 2010 16:19:46 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4240&iddiary=7899Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Fri, 14 May 2010 23:27:18https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4240i had a bad first time with this game. the controls were unlisted and confusing after i finally got through the parts and it was okay after that. i liked that it came out relatively soon after the incident. It probably crossed a few lines with the liberties that they take while writing some of the dialogue. looking at the gameplay, it was similar to most other rpg's i have played. it was fun once i figured how to access and use items. from my first impression it is not terrible because it still is just a game. it is about a tough subject but that only makes it a better game, because it brings something that might not get talked about all the time back to the spotlight. hopefully it keeps people aware of this problem and leads to school systems taking more comprehensive look at the society that exists within their walls.Fri, 14 May 2010 23:27:18 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4240&iddiary=7893Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas (PS2) - Mon, 19 Apr 2010 10:10:13https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4211As I get farther along into the game, which really isn't that far yet, i remember how fun these games are. They might not be the most realistic in driving and ability to get shot, but they do a fair job of making a plausible storyline. We are now trying to take back our turf by cleaning out all the drug dealers and marking our territory for the Ballers to see. During these early parts it is essential to go get a gun so I can protect myself. This seems a little immoral, but judging by the fact that I am constantly getting shot at, it also seems like a amart move. After proving myself to Sweet by rescuing him, I now start to move up the ladder. I am on my way to meet some new people to give me new missions. Hopefully they have a similar moral compass, all the old friends that I have met so far were on the whole decent people.Mon, 19 Apr 2010 10:10:13 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4211&iddiary=7867Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas (PS2) - Sat, 17 Apr 2010 14:50:29https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4211Starting this game again i decided to focus on missions and not senseless, albeit fun, violence. The missions are along the same lines as before, but i do not see the choice in these missions. It is laid out for you, and to get to the next mission you need to do what they say. Either way when Carl first gets back he goes to his old house and is overcome with emotions from the memories of his past and his lost family members. As soon as he goes to cemetery he is reminded of why he left SA, to get away from the gang activity that has already cost him so much. After some chit-chat he finally gets involved again, and goes to try and take back the streets. He starts at a pizza joint and then moves on to cleaning up some drug dealers. As it stands now it seems that they are just another gang trying to rule the streets. However in Carl's mind maybe he can help focus the direction of the gang and make their neighborhood a better place. We will see where these missions go and if Carl can improve or if it is just more of the same.Sat, 17 Apr 2010 14:50:29 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4211&iddiary=7836Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas (PS2) - Sat, 17 Apr 2010 14:50:03https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4210Starting this game again i decided to focus on missions and not senseless, albeit fun, violence. I am excited to start playing a new GTA, maybe this will push me to dust off the PS2 a little more often. So I started playing and met the some of Carls old friends Big Smoke, Sweet, and some old enemies, the Mexicans. After escaping from them I decided to go and do what is my favorite part of the GTA's wreak havoc on the town I am in. I started by beating up some people in my "hood" unfortunately they were all poor and had no money for me. So I then decided to have a joy ride in a Cop car. After many dead pedestrians the cops finally caught me and threw me in jail. Upon my release i decided to get back to the game. Unfortunately i couldn't find a mission so decided to wait till next time.Fri, 16 Apr 2010 16:18:52 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4211&iddiary=7833
