TMONEY's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=1253Gears of War 2 (360) - Mon, 19 Apr 2010 11:38:32https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4214Today is my last post for Gears of War 2 but it will not be the end of my playing it. I beat the skorge boss today and I must say that this is my favorite level so far. This alien guy is tough to beat as it took me numerous attempts to defeat him. It is kind of funny how Dom is always there with me but never does anything to help me. For example on the boat he just sits there as I take down the big alien fish and now again when I beat this boss man. Since this is my last post, I would like to talk about the game in over view. I played Gears of War (the first one) and the new one has much better of a story line. We find out more about these aliens as the characters talk about where these things have come from and what it is that they do to their captives. It is much better than the first one when all you do is shoot these things down. Plus Dom, throughout the entire game, searches for his lost wife. I like how they don't let us forget about his love and passion for her. I personally fell into that story and felt as if it was real life. Anytime that happens, it is evidence of a well made storyline. The graphics are very good and provide immense detail. The human characters don't necessarily look all cartoon-ish but instead have the form of a real person to a certain extent. I will continue to play this game and hopefully will be able to beat it within the next few days. All in all I would rate this game four out of five stars.Mon, 19 Apr 2010 11:38:32 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4214&iddiary=7872Gears of War 2 (360) - Sun, 18 Apr 2010 23:54:59https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4214So today I continued my play on Gears of War 2 and I enjoyed every second of it. I still think the hard playing level is not hard enough as I seemed go through it easily but it was still fun. I got through the level where Marcus, Dominic and the other crew members where they find out the Locusts are on ground level. Once again there was a bunch of chain sawing and curb stomping. The best part about this game is how the bullets are fired off the guns and how they hit the locusts. It’s not as good as Modern Warfare’s style but it is still legit. The level I played in was cool because I could pick up a locust and use them as a shield to protect me. I think there should be other types of guns that are available. So far I have only used two different kinds of guns, it kind of gets old after shooting a thousand bullets with the same gun; I like variety. Most games portray some kind of villain/villains that are associated with today’s world or people, but this game I believe is completely unassociated with the world. Locusts cannot be linked to anything here; they are insects that don’t do anything or mean anything to us. So this game is good for really any sort of ethnic person, and can’t be criticized for discriminating or giving people a bad rep.Sun, 18 Apr 2010 23:54:59 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4214&iddiary=7857Gears of War 2 (360) - Sat, 17 Apr 2010 22:28:17https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4214Today I played Gears of War 2 for the 360 system. I started playing the game a few days ago but haven't put much time into it. The main level for today was when a huge locust is comes out from under the boat when Marcus and Dominic are underground trying to escape. I really like the dialogue that occurs in the game; usually the games I play have little dialogue at all. However I did not really like how I was supposed to kill this locust. I had to shoot the insides of this thing; it just seemed too easy to do that. I had the game on hard and it still seemed easy. Not only that, the locust tries to eat the boat but can’t because….? They make it seem like the boat was too large for it to swallow it but the boat was really small next to this thing. Now other than my experience today, the game itself contains many, many scenes of violence. Sometimes there is curb stomping, chain sawing people, grenades, bullets, knives, etc. The usual killing games usual include games such as Modern Warfare, Left for Dead, etc; you can add this one to the collection. Are there any games out there that are suitable for kids to play? Just because these games are rated M for mature does not mean kids don’t play them. I think there should be some games that are still violent but not to the extreme to what these go to, possibly some shooting and maybe some fighter jet fighting in addition to less graphic scenes. That’s just my thoughts on it; I don’t mean to say I dislike these games, just trying to look out for the little ones out there. I think these games give them a bad start and viewpoint into this world.Sat, 17 Apr 2010 22:28:17 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4214&iddiary=7842
