Once you do this, we see clips of their corpses, and even clips from them as children. Once you have committed suicide, it appears you end up in Hell, and are playing and fending off creatures from the video game Doom, who Klebold and Harris both played and loved. I did not like this part at all. I never really played the game Doom, so that did not really appeal to me. I had been working for a few hours, getting the school locked down, just to have to commit suicide and go to hell for another completely random adventure. After killing the creatures from Doom, you meet other people that are in Hell. These consist of Bart Simpson, Mario, but even real people like Ronal Reagan, or Malcom X. I found this part of the game to be somewhat comical. The game ends with us fighting what is apparently Satan, and it took me quite some time to kill him. Once you eventually do, Satan congratulates you for what you have done. I did not like this at all, and felt that they were encouraging people to murder and kill. Overall i really did not like the video game, and feel that it is morally wrong. I do not think anyone will go off and shoot up a school after playing the game, but I do not think we should be playing a game where we can reenact one of the worst school shootings ever in this country. I feel that this game is overall inappropriate, and would not recommend it to anyone to play.Mon, 17 May 2010 09:29:57 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4245&iddiary=7915Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Mon, 17 May 2010 09:14:06https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4245The next part of the game is where you actually have to sneak in the school and plant the explosives. This was actually a lot harder than I thought it would be, and took me about a an hour to do. You have to be able to snake in the cafeteria, and you have to put the bombs in two specific places. Not to mention, there are security cameras, and security guards that are on patrol, and if they catch you you have to start all over. I felt this was extremely annoying. After I finally got the explosives planted, I went outside to meet up with my fellow murderer outside the school. The bombs do not even end up going off, so we just decide to go back in the school and shoot and kill as many people as possible. Once we are inside shooting people, the game puts you into first person against the person you are fighting. You either need to kill them or die, and you can either have the game choose your weapons, or you can choose them for yourself. The game labels the students we are killing as either "jocks" or "pretty girl", but labels the janitors and teachers as they are. I thought the labeling of students was a little corny, and did not really even like the one on one combat.Mon, 17 May 2010 09:14:06 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4245&iddiary=7913Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Mon, 17 May 2010 09:00:02https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4245I did not like this game very much at all. It begins with the Eric Harris being woken up by his mother, and then he goes to meet up with his fellow murderer, Dylan Klebold. They meet in Harri's basement, and originally plan to bomb the school before shooting it. They make a video to show their parent's and to apologize to them, before loading their bags with weapons and explosives and head out to Columbine. The graphics are not very good, thus the game is not that gory, but still too violent for my tastes. The dialogue seems fairly accurate, and the game does have sound and music that go very well, except I did not care personally for most of the music. After they leave Harris' home, they go to school to begin to plant the explosives.Mon, 17 May 2010 09:00:02 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4245&iddiary=7911Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (360) - Mon, 17 May 2010 08:44:00https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4218Mon, 17 May 2010 08:44:00 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4218&iddiary=7910Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (360) - Mon, 19 Apr 2010 09:46:56https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4218My problems with this game also go beyond violence, and gang related activity. It is also extremely racist, and degrading towards women. The main character is a black male, who sags his pants, breaks the law, and does other extremely stereotypical things. There was even a mission where you had to go get a gang member some chicken. Women are also treated horribly in this game. Most are walking around with almost nothing on, and most of them are hookers waiting to be paid for sex. Not only can you have sex with them but after you can even kill them and take your money back. I think this is absolutely awful, and do not understand why this would be depicted for young children to see. While I found 90 % of the game negative, there were a one or two missions that at least attempted to portray a good message. In one mission you have to “clean up the hood”. This meant that I had to go around finding drug dealers, and killing them. While this is still extremely violent, at least kids can understand that drug dealers are in fact bad, however that does not mean we should be allowed to brutally murder them. All in all, I thought this game was extremely violent, racist, and overall not suit for children. It does not promote any positive morals, and the entire game is immoral. While I may have enjoyed it when I was younger, I do not see myself playing this game again in the near future.Mon, 19 Apr 2010 09:46:56 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4218&iddiary=7865Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (360) - Mon, 19 Apr 2010 01:45:42https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4218The first mission I had to complete involved avoiding a drive by from a rival gang the Ballas. Cj has just gone to his mother’s funeral with his siblings, and a few family friends that are part of their gang the Grove Street Families. While I was walking around the cemetery with Sweet (a high ranking member of the gang), the Ballas start shooting and I had to run across the street to get on a bike to get away. The faster I pressed X the faster I pedaled my bike, and I had to do this in order to avoid getting shot by the drive-by vehicles shooting at me. This was completely new to me, because there were no bikes in the previous games. I needed to bike to the red circle on the radar and avoid getting killed by the Ballas to complete the first mission. After completing each mission, there is a cut scene to explain what you will be doing on the next mission. One of the later missions involved me spray painting over rival gangs tags, and even confronting rival gang members and having to spray them in the face to kill them. I felt this was extremely violent, and that most of these missions involved gang activity, which is not something people should be imitating in a videogame. Not to mention after completing this mission I received money and more respect within my gang, which basically promotes gang activity to anyone playing the game. When I was younger I never paid that close of attention to the story line, but now I see what is wrong with video games like this. The whole game revolves around illegal activity, and while it may be fun to play, I do not think it is appropriate for all ages.Mon, 19 Apr 2010 01:45:42 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4218&iddiary=7860Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (360) - Sun, 18 Apr 2010 23:01:49https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4218I have not played any of the Grand Theft Auto games since high school, but now after reflecting on the ethics and morals of this game, I do not see myself playing it again. While I did enjoy the game, it is hard to take it seriously from an ethical standpoint considering most of the missions consist of the main character Carl “Cj” Johnson either shooting, murdering, or doing something illegal related to gang activity. This is not to say that the game is not extremely well made. The graphics were incredible, and there were numerous improvements made from the earlier GTA’s I played back in high school. For example, if you go to the gym a lot with your character he will get big and strong, but if you eat fast food with him, he will get big and fat. There are also a lot more cars, and you can upgrade them by completing various missions. Another way the game changed is the fact that Cj can now actually break into houses. I did a mission where I got into a burglary van, and I was not only able to break into people’s houses, but I could even steal directly off the residents. I felt while some of the improvements were for the benefit of the game, I thought the burglary aspect was a little over the top. Now that I am older I see why these games were so controversial and considered extremely immoral.Sun, 18 Apr 2010 23:01:49 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4218&iddiary=7854
