This is my third attempt at Super Columbine Massacre RPG! I finally got through the cafeteria part. I planted the bombs and waited on rebel hill for them to go off. When they did, I was allowed to go on a rampage. There was one person that was spared, I found this interesting. I wonder of this is actually true. I walked around the parking lot and killed some people. The game play is boring since you really cannot be hurt. I killed a bunch of people then proceeded into the school. I killed an openly gay kid and a prep kid. The game then cut to a scene of former President Bill Clinton giving a speech of the incident. The game is technically awful in all aspects. The game play is bad and the graphic s hurt my eyes. I think the game tries to portray two broken teenagers but it is hard to sympathies with the game because of all the technical errors. I can barely read the text. The effort is appreciated because there is something more to the game than shooting but the game is so awful. I made it to the cafeteria and I tried to plant the bombs for a while. I can plant the first one alright but I cannot seem to plant the second bomb on the vending machines on the far side. I have no idea why I cannot. I went all around it and pressed enter about fifty times. I went back and tried to go in the other rooms but my partner says we are not yet ready. It is such a pain to get through that hallway with all those people walking around. The more that I think about this game, the more the thought of it becomes inappropriate. I do not think there should be a game like this based on that tragedy. It would be the equivalent of a September 11 game where you play as the terrorist. These young men were troubled but they also were terrorists. The game is disrespectful to the victim’s families. It is also very annoying and frustrating to play as well. The type hurts my eyes and I never did like the Pokémon graphics.Wed, 27 Oct 2010 01:55:45 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4462&iddiary=8313Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Mon, 25 Oct 2010 14:25:25https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4433I was surprised at the game play immediately. I expected a mindless shooter but the game does posses some sort of strategy and other mechanics. I started by collecting items at my house. Some interesting objects found were a Marylyn Manson CD that causes rage and anger and also a Doom game. I am sure that the media portrayed these things as catalyst to why the teenagers went on a shooting spree. I got to the high school. It took me quite a bit of time to get to the cafeteria. The stealth segment in the game was very annoying and tedious. Once I got to the cafeteria I planted a bomb. I guess I was supposed to plant another bomb but instead I pulled the fire alarm. I stopped at this point. I believe this game makes no one happy. The people who were victims were probably outraged and the people who play this crappy game suffer as well. The missions gives some insight on how CJ's mom was killed. The gang proceeds to a fast food chain and begin to order. Ballas pass by and CJ is ordered to follow so the gang can shoot at them. After a chase, the Balla car blows up and the Ballas try to escape but we kill them. Afterward I got a call to go to the local gym and work out. After the mission I stole a car and cruised around the city. I tried at first to follow the rules of the road but that got boring so I sped and killed a lot of civilians. This version of GTA attempts to make the game more real. The player can eat, drink, dress, and work out. All of these mechanics effect the appearance of the character. The player can commit crimes and the cops pursue as usual but the player can get away easily. I think that by trying to include these mechanics the game attempts to include some kind of morality. Their are some consequences to the players actions. For example, the player loses his weapons and car if they die. In the end though, the player can never be truly moral. CJ kills a lot of people and steals as well.Wed, 22 Sep 2010 01:31:55 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4342&iddiary=8116Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas (PS2) - Tue, 21 Sep 2010 17:46:31https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4342GTA San Andreas Day 2 I decided to play through some missions on my second trip to Los Santos. My first mission was called “Tagging up Turf”. I was assigned the task of tagging walls on Ballas territory to let them know I was back on Grove Street. The last wall I had to tag on was being guarded by a pair of Ballas. I had to eliminate them and tag the wall or I would fail. I poisoned the Ballas with the spray paint. The second mission was called “Cleaning Up the Street”. I had to eliminate a drug house that contained Ballas and other low lives. Is the Grove street gang moral when they deice to clean up the street? The Grove street boys are trying to claim territory and clean up the streets of drugs and bad guys. As CJ I successfully tagged on walls and killed a pair of Ballas. Then I eliminated a house that was full of Ballas, drug dealers, and some prostitutes. CJ and his gang are happy and the community might also be happy with less drugs and gang members on the streets. On the other hand, the Ballas are upset and are not happy. The Grove street gang is expanding. They are killing their members and disrupting business. The happiness of Grove street is higher and therefore moral. The Grove street gang is not only acting on their behalf. Before CJ receives his mission briefing on “Cleaning up the Street” he hears some members talking about how drugs are ruining the neighborhood. The gang may have greater happiness because the community is happier without drug dealers running rampant and dealing to people.Tue, 21 Sep 2010 17:46:31 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4342&iddiary=8103Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas (PS2) - Sun, 19 Sep 2010 22:02:02https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4342GTA San Andreas Day 1 I originally played GTA San Andreas when it was first released. I enjoyed it but I did not think it was a magnificent game. The story revolves around CJ as he comes home from the East Coast. CJ arrives in Los Santos and he immediately is in trouble. Cops pull him over and accuse him of being a cop killer. They drop him off in a gang territory and he scrambles home. When he does arrive home, he begins to reminisce but is nearly attacked by Big Smoke. Later he visits his mom at the cemetery and he encounters old friends and family. There is some hostility because CJ has been away for five years. Things get even worse when Ballas spot the Grove street gang and begin to shoot. CJ and his crew race home to safety. CJ is portrayed as a product of his environment. Things do not go well for him when he arrives. He lets on that the lifestyle is the reason he left. CJ can not escape his past. Corrupt cops threaten to frame him, rival gangs want him dead, and his old crew questions his loyalty and manhood. The racist banter in the game surprises me. I never really noticed it when I first played the game. Cops commit some racial profiling, they insult a Mexican cab driver, and the word “nigga” is used frequently by the crew. Resident Evil was accused of being racist because it was set in Africa. GTA San Andreas must have been given a hard time too I assume.
