mkhursh1's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=1316Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Wed, 27 Oct 2010 12:26:30https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4435Today was my 3rd time playing the game. Today I went around on a spree killing people. There were alot of stereotypes throughout the game which was interesting. The prom queen girl was able to cry raising her health and so was the holy girl. She was able to pray to raise her health. The black boy had a higher health rating than everyone else. This makes the stereotype of black people being stronger than everyone else. I didnt finish the entire game because it was so pointless and disturbing. It never gives you clear directions. Your on your own throughout the whole game. Its very repetitive and frustrating at times. This game wasnt made properly or morally. I think its the worst game ive ever played.Wed, 27 Oct 2010 12:26:30 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4435&iddiary=8326Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Wed, 27 Oct 2010 00:00:46https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4435So as i continued to play the game today.. I was still having trouble getting back to how to actually play the game because of all the annoying font and how it lacks directions and exactly what to do.. you have to kind of figure it out for yourself. It gives you semi directions and then needs you to do the rest. I started to notice some different issues within the game. We arent playing real people in the game. but since they are real characters but dead we are playing dead people in their after life. But this is very disturbing because its so disrespectful. What they did was wrong but if you step in their parents minds what would they think. That people are reliving and doing the same bad deeds as there dead kids actually did in real life except now its in video game format. But throughout the game there really isnt a impacting strong message in this game.. Your pretty much just playing and then it changes and you get away from the whole real event and get to a hell point of view.Wed, 27 Oct 2010 00:00:46 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4435&iddiary=8307Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Mon, 25 Oct 2010 18:01:48https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4435After I downloaded this game today. I started to play it. The game started off kind of weird. The game itself was boring and ethically disturbing and wrong. Right from the beginning there was so much conversation on top of the screen that it was getting very boring. It was ethically wrong because the whole concept was to plant bombs which i didn't know they did in the actual occurring and then when the bombs failed they had to go shoot everyone. The reason why its so wrong is because it was a real situation that put allot of tears and hurt into peoples hearts so making a joke out of it in a game is wrong. It took me about 45 minutes to get past the cafeteria part which was very annoying. It seems easy but you have to get around the hall monitors which is annoying because every time you get stopped you have to start all over again. Also same goes for once your in the cafeteria you get stopped by the janitors then you have to start all over again. What made it annoying even more is the other guy Dylan kept saying something to you when youd get "busted" but still you wouldn't see him lol. Last something that really bothered me is all teh captions on the screen were incredibly hard to read because of the font. But other than that as far as i got into the game today I just think its morally really wrong because of the concept.Mon, 25 Oct 2010 18:01:48 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4435&iddiary=8258Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS3) - Fri, 24 Sep 2010 11:27:44https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4355(Day 3) Given that this is the last entry for this project I’ve decided upon a reflection of the experience I’ve had thus far. The Grand Theft Auto series is one of the most popular that Rockstar has produced. Its’ violence and gore has led to popularity within a young crowd, still learning what is right and wrong in a society predicated upon wealth and doing whatever it takes to achieve it. The storyline follows a young African American, CJ, that returns to a demoralized and violent community where the weak are impoverished and eventually mowed down by gun fire. Being that there is no storyline without choosing to kill and participate in criminal activity a player is left with no alternative but to steal, rape, murder, and run from authority. After a long enough time line this becomes second nature. And by the transitive property, Christians and right wing Republicans condemn games advocating such behavior because it will inevitably happen in real life scenarios. The implications of such an argument are subjective depending whether or not the person has aspergers. The stunning belief by the two fore mentioned groups is generalized by the simplified outlook for not being able to tell the difference between fiction and reality, and therein lies its’ fallacy. Picking out a specific event, school shootings for example, and applying it to everyone is like saying “this apple is red which means all apples are red.” No reasonable person would believe that but some still do. I will freely admit that I think the game is both violent and brash but it boils down to people are smart and can tell what is real and what is a game.Fri, 24 Sep 2010 11:27:44 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4355&iddiary=8130Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS3) - Fri, 24 Sep 2010 10:36:46https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4355(Day 2) What I really like about this game is the Realism. The game might not be morally accepted or liked but the way the game is so real really helps the player want to keep playing. Sometimes it is an extreme but it helps put the excitement in the game. The game is inspired by real life like the opening of the game is like being introduced what should be Compton. Which is considered a really rough harsh area where allot of gang related activities are portrayed. The game is very believable (pause-able) in many aspects in how real life situations have taken place. Certain missions and scenes of the game are real life situations but with different names and timing such as the rioting. The realism in the game such as cars to the music mode to the hookers on the streets help fall into this category of realism. The game is made in a way where it shows you a real city with a different name and portrays real life events that happen in todays society like mob activities, shootings, corrupt cops, females on the street, drug association, loyalty, and the most important MONEY. Also the act of realism is like how a human being takes time to build there body and get stronger. Well so does CJ in the beginning from where he starts off as nothing and skinny and not strong and completes basic missions to gain access to the gym where he can lift and build a stronger body to fulfill harder missions.Fri, 24 Sep 2010 10:36:46 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4355&iddiary=8129Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS3) - Fri, 24 Sep 2010 10:26:01https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4355(Day 1) As I was playing the game I noticed many stereotypes that were being showed throughout playing such as gangbangers, cops, racial stereotypes in the way certain characters were dressed and acted, also gender, and racism too. The game is fun though being able to do drive by shootings and enjoy driving openly knowing if I get shot Ill still live. The game stereotypes help make the game out in certain ways such as comparing it to “thug life”. Examples of this is being introduced to the game in certain missions and ways to earn respect are to pimp girls, steal cars, etc. The game really puts females on blast in terms of how disrespected they are as well as cops. The stereotypes of crooked cops really comes into play in the game because of missions that involved a helping hand from the police.Fri, 24 Sep 2010 10:26:01 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4355&iddiary=8128
