Kirby is a 2-D style game that functions like Mario for the gameboy. The first tlevels are very easy and can be beaten quickly. I got to level three in 45 minutes. The levels are not very long and there are not many bad guys to defeat. If you did not have to defeat the enemies, you can make kirby just fly over them. There are some tricks within the levels where you need to go around structures to get to a door. I enjoyed playing this game for the time being.Fri, 23 Feb 2007 15:37:46 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1437&iddiary=3029Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards (N64) - Fri, 23 Feb 2007 15:33:05https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1437I played Kirby as an emulator on my computer. It was a bit more difficult than using a controller, but still fun. Kirby is an interesting game with simple moves that make it fun. Jump, the simple move in most games, and swallowing characters, a new move that creates depth in the game. One can change Kirby's moves depending on the character or object swallowed. When Kirby swallows air, he can fly, which makes it so much easier to move around and pass enemies with ease.Fri, 23 Feb 2007 15:33:05 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1437&iddiary=3027Frequency (PS2) - Fri, 09 Feb 2007 15:06:11https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1247After playing for another hour in Frequency, I unlocked a few more songs and can beat a few more songs on the expert difficulty. Harmonics did an excellent job at put alot of great songs from many different generes into the game. For fans of metal music there are a few songs from Fear Factory and Powerman 5000, and for fans of techno and pop music, they have songs from Gwen Stefani and new artists like Freezepop. This makes the game a lot of fun for almost everyone because you can play the game and you are not alienated by having only one genere of song to play. Frequency was one of the games that started off the music game genere second only to the Bemani games like DDR and Beatmania. Harmonics went on to create games like the sequel Amplitude and Guitar Hero I and II. In this respect, the game is very inovative for its time as it was an early game for the PS2.Fri, 09 Feb 2007 15:06:11 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1247&iddiary=2664Frequency (PS2) - Fri, 09 Feb 2007 14:56:26https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1247I liked Guitar Hero II a lot especially the Freezepop songs. So when I heard that there was another game by harmonics with a song by Freezepop I just had to play it. You play as a ship that navagates through a tunnel and hits strings of notes. Once a string of notes, like in Guitar Hero, is completed, you activate the whole instrument track and switch to the next track. There are a lot of songs in this game and some of them are very difficult, but are still fun to play. I think that Frequency is a lot of fun for a few reasons. First, there is a combo system where the more notes you hit in a row the higher a score and multiplier you get. Also, if you complete every track in the tunnel, a special scratch track is activated. This is a lot of fun because you don't have to worry about hit any notes and just do your thing like a real DJ.Fri, 09 Feb 2007 14:56:26 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1247&iddiary=2661Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - Wed, 31 Jan 2007 12:58:48https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=910Colossus is a difficult game, and yet it is so realistic. The moments of the player are amazingly lively. The way the horse moves, too, is very life like. The controls are pretty realistic in that certain movements cause certain things to happen. The controls arent that simple, therefore making it life like. The details in the landscapes are beautiful. It is a long game, aslo. I am not going to finish this game, because it takes up so much time just walking or riding your horse to places. The land is a very large place. It takes awhile trying to find a way to get to the enemy Then there's trying to figure out how to kill the enemy. The first boss was probably the simplest because all you had to do was climb the colossus and hit it's "soft" spots. The last colossus is very very large, and it's probably easiest if you take a certain way up its body.Wed, 31 Jan 2007 12:58:48 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=910&iddiary=2228Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) - Sun, 28 Jan 2007 18:01:48https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=874Alright, zelda is amazing. I love zelda games, probably because they are all RPG style. I got stuck in the forest level today. It is a tricky level and i forgot how the pattern goes. I got the shooting the ghosts in the frames part. But i could not figure out how to get to the boss key, and i knew i was missing a ghost. Im glad i got the arrows though; they are a very useful tool. My friend helped me out in the temple. I almost died from the jumping hands. It was pretty lame of me to be so clumsy with that enemy.Sun, 28 Jan 2007 18:01:48 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=874&iddiary=2039Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - Fri, 26 Jan 2007 13:09:42https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=910I had been watching several of my friends playing Shadow of the Colossus, and found that the game looked very difficult. I decided to try it. I find it is difficult to get used to the controls. I am not really used to them yet. I like to use inverted controls, and I'm not using inverted so it makes it harder. The horse is a bit strange. First time i saw the horse running, i thought the horse runs like a mad dog. The graphics of this game, though, are amazingly beautiful. I have only gotten to the first boss. All the bosses, you are supposed to climb them. They are very, very large colossus' that need to be hit in certain "soft" spots that destroy the colossus'.Fri, 26 Jan 2007 13:09:42 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=910&iddiary=2010Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - Fri, 26 Jan 2007 12:37:44https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=910 (This entry has been edited1 time. This time around, I am playing with a friend and we are switching at every temple. I do enjoy this game, but not as much as the windwaker and majora's mask. A lot of people say that ocarina is their favorite game, but it is mainly because they have not played the other two games for N64/gamecube. Ocarina has a "small" world, but it takes awhile to move from place to place. It is tedious at the beginning of the game when you have no horse (Epona). Tumbling and rolling around gets annoying, especially when Link keeps making his "HIYA!" "HAA!" sounds... I love RPG games and Zelda does meet good standards :]Mon, 22 Jan 2007 15:27:25 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=874&iddiary=1940Perfect Dark (N64) - Fri, 19 Jan 2007 15:03:52https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=759After not playing for awhile, I actually got passed another level in the game. After that it just got more frustrating. I am not at perfect status, so it was pretty difficult to get passed all the enemies shooting me with one shot kills. I was also frustrated that the N64 controller did not meet gamecube controller standards... One gun that is useful in this game, is the laptop gun. It's a machine gun that you can throw and it will automatically shoot passing by sims.Fri, 19 Jan 2007 15:03:52 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=759&iddiary=1804
