wilkster63's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=1446Columbine RPG (PC) - Tue, 09 Aug 2011 12:23:33https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4718FOr my third and final entry (thank the good lord), I just ran around talking to some of the people around the school which everytime I did my character Eric, consistently game each of the people i talked to small hints to run away. While playing this time around, I went to multiple rooms which include a library, bathrooms, lunchrooms, and outside parking lots. Presented in the rooms, I saw maybe 10 different styles of dress styles on the teens running about. However, every once in awhile im pretty sure I ran into a nun that was dressed in her robes. JUst when I thought this game couldnt go any further, it proves me wrong. After awhile i reached a level that represented "hell" with flames all over, and demons to kill. I guess this says that they went straight for hell for what they did that day. I did some background checking on the game as well, I'm not the only person who finds this game repulsive and outrageous. The game itself was voted one of the top 10 worst RPG's ever made. This is one fucked up game, and im most happy I dont need to review it anymore. However, the hall monitors that patrolled the school halls caught me most of the time, I had to be sneaky and stealthy to get by. If I was caught by one of the hall monitors, I was sent back to the beginning, which happend quite often. Obviously, I dont need to tell most people this is completely unethical in every possible way. I guess I keep thinking about those parents that lost their children on that day in 1999. Its hard to believe someone or a programmer in this case would want to make a game as grim as the one presented here. I also took notice to the fact that in the game, you dont kill student and faculty to a certain number, but keep killing hundreds of students. Getting points for every kill. WOW... Yeah thats all im playing for this session, till next time.Mon, 08 Aug 2011 23:05:40 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4718&iddiary=8721Columbine RPG (PC) - Sat, 06 Aug 2011 23:49:48https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4718First time playing the game, wow I barely wanted to download this in the first place because of the faces of the two teens that shot up the school in what is now a historical event. So I play as the chatacters Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. My first questions about the game was how the game was layed out, as well as the design. When whom ever made this game, the must have known not many people would take to it, thus they skipped out on the art design aspect of the game. The question: who would play this game free or not? for individuals and families directly effected by this historical even, this is an insult! I wasnt impressed by the game at all, when taking out the story and focusing only on the game itself. The game reminds me of an early Final Fantasy play style. I dont like the fact that I need to play this game to interpret what may be moral or not, I find this game to be unethical in every aspect. Just seeing those faces horrifies me.Sat, 06 Aug 2011 23:49:48 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4718&iddiary=8708Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas (PS2) - Sat, 30 Jul 2011 23:17:52https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4702This is my third entry for GTA - San Andreas. Upon playing for my third session, I came to the conclusion that the game did indeed have power over my emotions. Not so much power that I wanted to run out and ramp my car off a parking garage, but enough to get me pumped full of energy for an hour or two. While playing my third session of the game, I decided to put in a few cheat codes and fly a hover craft in mid air, occasionally landing on the ground, trucks and buildings. This was a blast for me because I could test the game the way no game tester ever thought it would be tested. I found it funny because on the hovercraft's raidio i could hear the police searching for me, saying "suspect rising in a dark hovercraft". After I got bored with cheat codes, I decided to do something a little more realistic, so I grabbed a bicycle . I found this bike to be one of the more unique things about the game. Although, I found the bicycle wasn't the most realistic part of the game, because I was pulling off some crazy BMX stunts that I'm pretty sure haven't been credited as a "stunt" quite yet. Anyways, that sums up my game log for GTA - San Andreas. After doing all these extreme things in the game, I guess anyone would say that this game has some kind of power over their emotions, and ultimately can influence them, and their mood.Sat, 30 Jul 2011 23:17:52 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4702&iddiary=8691Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas (PS2) - Thu, 28 Jul 2011 23:11:26https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4702This is my second entry for GTA - San Andreas Today I ran an errond for Ryder, he called the favor..."Robbing Uncle Sam", which raised red flags for me right away. This mission Ryder jumps into a truck with me and told me to go to the compound at Ocean Docks. We arrive and theres a guard at the place, he tells me to take care of him, I do as told and bust into the warehouse with the van whilst doing so I run over two additional guards. After I grabbed a fork lift and pretty much as the title states "robbed Uncle Sam". By doing so, I got brownie points with the big guy named "Big Smoke" When I was finished with Big Smoke, I was still getting shot at and I eventually died for stealing from good ol' Uncle Sam. There some irony for ya. I was so mad for dieing in the game, that I ended up doing a drive-by mission killing much more than the required of the gang in Idlewood. I learned from this entry of the game that not only can CJ have ethnic issues with others around him; but ethinc battles and issues with other mobs inside the game, just from the missions that he receives trying to gain respect from the mob bosses.Thu, 28 Jul 2011 23:11:26 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4702&iddiary=8690Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas (PS2) - Tue, 26 Jul 2011 00:08:00https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4702When I did play Grand Theft Auto games back in the day (rarely as it was), I never saw any implications or quandaries with the game itself. Sure, I would take a car, run it into a shop and shoot up the place, but at the end, when I stopped playing the game I put the controller down and that was that, back to real life. Although, I was in 8th grade at the time… As the years passed, the game received more and more abuse and insults than any other game, and I started to realize how much racial content there really was in the game. However, this doesn’t change my opinion, its still a game after all. I’ll kick this off by saying what I think about the game a little. The game takes place in San Andreas in California and some Nevada a most proper place for the protagonist. The main character is named Carl Johnson, a gang member that blends in perfect for the crime in the city. The first thing I started doing when I got to playing was not as much the storyline, but hijacking a car and getting some money for new weapons. However, I quickly found trouble when I went into an area were I was obviously not welcomed, getting shot at and chased by other cars that were pimped out. These actions pretty well took up most of my 30 minutes very quickly, I just couldn’t stop driving my car as fast as I could over jumps and shooting pedestrians down. To conclude session I of San Andreas, I have defiantly taken the position that Gee describes in his writings, seeing me as Carl Johnson. Thus far, the racial content is pretty apparent and brutal. I’ve gone around beating up different people from other origins multiple times, and they always come back for more, or did I run the over with my car…Tue, 26 Jul 2011 00:08:00 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4702&iddiary=8669
