HellenKiller's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=1466Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2) - Wed, 28 Sep 2011 09:14:12https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4745Well, my third play through from San Andreas helped me understand the beating up of the crackheads, but, only continuing on to more confusing events. I finally beat completed the crackhead mission. The strangest thing was, when I was arriving at the crack den, I hit a person as I was pulling into the red marker. I went inside, beat up some crackheads, and came out to find the person I hit, dead, bleeding all over the side walk. I was waiting for some cop to come and get me, but no one did. We just considered it a "victory" and went back to the hood. From what I saw from the next part, it was just ridiculous. The mission was called "Drive-Thru". Let me guess.... drive-by? Since all of the characters going are all black, we all decided on some chicken. Might as well just went to the Kool-aid factory. Anyways, as I am struggling to keep the car in control, some information was revealed about my "moms'" killing. Apparently it was a drive-by, and it was an accident (they were going for Sweet). So, what happens when we get to the drive-thru? A drive-by! It then becomes a race against time to shoot at the other car before it gets back to the hood to kill my homies. Since I am not very good at this game, I kept losing this mission. I also felt this mission was contradicting to the conversation in the car on the way to the drive-thru. We were all discussing how Carl's "moms died", IN A DRIVE-BY, so we then decided to chase enemy bangers and just shoot all over the place. For someone who's "moms" died in a drive-by, Carl obviously learns nothing. To me, these character's feel that what they do is good, but that is only through their perspective. What they do is for personal gain, and they are just another group of gang bangers trying to kill the other side.Wed, 28 Sep 2011 09:14:12 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4745&iddiary=8833Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas (PS2) - Wed, 28 Sep 2011 09:14:04https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4746Well, my third play through from San Andreas helped me understand the beating up of the crackheads, but, only continuing on to more confusing events. Frankly, I really do not enjoy this game. I cannot get into it at all, but, nonetheless, I have played it. In this time around, I played for half an hour, but I kept dying on one misson. Carl must go with his friend to go to a guys house. This guy gets upset and throws us out, then we went to go beat up a crack head. I think that my characters think that what their doing is right, beating up a crack head to get them out of the hood. But, this is weird, because it contradicts what I have seen in the game thus far. "Pigs" are bad guys, but also drug dealers. Also, I have just been roaming around and heard people discussing how bad the blunts they are smoking are. I know marijuana is a lot different from crack, but still. It was weird. I do think I kept going to a rival gangs crack den, shouting our gang name as we burst in. This is where I kept dying, trying to fight 3 rival crackheads with a baseball bat. Every time I died, I would wake up at a hospital and some of my money would be gone. It's unfortunate I don't have coverage. So, I have to start the mission again. Overall, it felt weird beating up crackheads, but through the eyes of my character, it was a good act. Hopefully I can beat this mission and finally progress further into the game.Tue, 27 Sep 2011 10:57:44 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4746&iddiary=8798Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2) - Tue, 27 Sep 2011 10:57:02https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4745So, this is my second play through of GTA San Andreas. I get off the place, my moms is dead, I get all my money taken from me, and THEN I go back to the hood. From the epic bike escape/drive by presented that this "world" is going to be a dangerous one, and right from the start. The whole game seems to see gangbangers as the good guys, because he's my character. In the first 30 minutes of this, I broke SO many laws. This guys just gets back, and breaks the law; and I'm supposed to like him? Nonetheless, I do. Like I said, hes MY character. So, I am presented with the way of life (a life of crime). To me, its what I need to do; I gain respect for it. I gain respect for spray painting other gang bangers in the face. So far, it doesn't seem like I have much choice in these matters either. It seems that the story only progresses when I commit crimes and gain respect. Well, I shall play again and we will see what happens.Fri, 23 Sep 2011 13:22:51 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4746&iddiary=8752
