george.sivalls's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=1477Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Thu, 23 Feb 2012 12:09:05https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4792Today I finished up the game again since I decided I think I might be ok after experience grinding yesterday. Unfortunately I was wrong and I got slaughtered near the beginning of hell. Thinking back and looking at the grossly large difficulty difference between the high school and hell I came to realize I would probably need to grind for a couple of hours to even stand a chance against multiple demons. This difficulty game really irritates me in the view of a game because it makes it hard for gamers to complete the game and can be a bit unfair towards the gamer. On the other hand though I can possibly see what the creator was trying to do with this gap, he could of been trying to tell the player that after you have died you are to receive punishment for the travesty you committed by being destroyed in hell. Unfortunately if this is what the creator was trying to tell the player I don't think many people may see that way; in a true gamers eye it is more of a challenge to try and beat hell. Do to it seeming more like a challenge what a player hears from the creator then is play through the school again and kill as much as you can so you can go to hell and defeat all of the demons. My last issue with the game is that it feels like the creator during the credits by focusing on the aftermath pictures is trying to say that they are not glorifying the violence and that what you relived in the game caused this to the survivors. I feel that the creator could have done better by making a second level where you play as a survivor or maybe even a paramedic in the aftermath of the killings.Thu, 23 Feb 2012 12:09:05 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4792&iddiary=9107Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Wed, 22 Feb 2012 23:58:40https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4792Today I restarted the game and decided to experience grind which was very boring. After grinding for awhile I find the high school area to be lacking in a shock or educational factor. It feels to me that the games creator was completely relying on the audiences shock at seeing the game being based off of the Columbine Massacre rather than having any worthwhile content. The game could have possibly been researched better to make the player feel closer to either the victims or killers. Also I feel that though the creator may want to bring the event to people's mind's I feel the game could have been executed much better. Due to the poor RPG style the combat, video, and even text are a bit hard to make out at times completely ruining the games emersion or shock factor. Also the connection between the events is a bit slim so that the player may feel that the game is more of a way to glorify or belittle the event rather than teaching people to be more aware. Lastly I feel that the creator could have made an alternate game mode where the player either plays as some amount of the other students and either have to keep as many alive as possible or try to stay alive. With this game mode if the player is truly made to connect with the character it might be able to at least show a bit of what it could be like in a situation like that so as to bring awareness to the masses of the true terror of these incidents.Wed, 22 Feb 2012 23:58:40 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4792&iddiary=9100Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Tue, 21 Feb 2012 21:59:54https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4792After playing a quick run through of the entire Columbine game, I find it is a bit repetitive and can be annoying at times. The point of the game was to experience the Columbine massacre as the killers in an RPG format. I found though the idea is noteworthy and can be a bit educational in learning about tragedies such as this. The game itself though is a bit boring as a game in and of itself due to the fact that it can be incredibly repetitive. It's repetitive in the fact that almost every fight you engage in at the school is the same and you get little to no experience afterwards. The second problem is that after your characters kill themselves you go to hell and fight demons. Though this idea itself is interesting the problem is that the demons are grossly more powerful than your characters. Due to this problem I am going to grind my second day so that I can try and make it through all of hell on my third day of playing.Tue, 21 Feb 2012 21:59:54 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4792&iddiary=9083Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas (PS2) - Thu, 26 Jan 2012 13:00:54https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4773Once again I played San Andreas and as usual it was more of a chore to play than a fun experience. I wasted my time car surfing again and exploding things up. I haven't continued in the story at all because I find it rather boring. So for the entirety of my game time I got the attention of the police and would throw C4 on a cop and blow them up. As a game I find it a bit of a failure and I'm thankful that I had only borrowed the game instead of purchasing it. If I were to purchase it I would at most spend five dollars if that to get the game and that is being nice. In general I find everything about San Andreas a failure of a game. The controls are sluggish, the game play is a bit boring, and the story is completely lacking. I don't understand how people like this series and have bought the games, but for me it's worthless.Thu, 26 Jan 2012 13:00:54 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4773&iddiary=9016Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas (PS2) - Wed, 25 Jan 2012 21:19:22https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4773After my second day of playing for about an hour I still find the game to be only somewhat entertaining. Once again after only about the hour of playing I find that the game gets boring and repetitive. I did not work on the story at all this time but I did enjoy car surfing in the game. What this means is that I would hop on top of a civilians car and hit the punch button to stomp on it. Now this would cause the driver to start speeding up and veering left and right to try and shake my character off of the car. After car surfing for about an hour with comedic results I started using cheat codes to fool around like infinite life, spawn monster truck, and tier three weapons. With the infinite life and the new weapons I went around and started to blow up the cop cars, but unfortunately I only got to three stars when I found out infinite life doesn't save you from explosives. After that I again got bored with the game and stopped playing. I find the story a bit of a bore and the character controls to be annoying and sluggish. The only game I hated the controls more was Shadow of the Colossus. All in all I find playing the game for about an hour the only amount of time I can actually enjoy it before I find it to be more of a chore to play than fun.Wed, 25 Jan 2012 21:19:22 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4773&iddiary=9002Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas (PS2) - Tue, 24 Jan 2012 23:01:36https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4773I dreaded playing San Andreas because all in all from the little I have seen of the game I don't really like it. After playing for about an hour my opinion of the game didn't increase though I did have a little fun running around. I had originally had a save file of the game from when I had to play it before but unfortunately it was corrupted so I had to start from the beginning. This problem caused me to just run around hijacking cars and running people over for the majority of the time I played. The little of the story I did play which only went up to the mission to spray paint over other gang's graffiti was boring. I truthfully had more fun running around causing chaos then going through the story. The depressing thing about that is that after about an hour of playing the game grew to be incredibly boring with no entertainment value or anything else in it that may hold my interest. All in all I find the game more of a chore to play rather than being any fun but I'll try again tomorrow and see what type of cheats I can find to make the game a bit more interesting.Tue, 24 Jan 2012 23:01:36 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4773&iddiary=8994Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Wed, 12 Oct 2011 00:35:59https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4792This is my final day playing Super Columbine Massacre and I have to say it did not improve though I have to say I was surprised when the game continued into hell. Truthfully though I hate the game and think it is very unethical I am glad I heard about it. The reason why I am happy to know about this game is because no matter how horrible or wrong a game is it is better to know whats out there rather than get caught unaware by something. The other reason why I am glad to have heard of this game is that it shows that there is a game about almost anything no matter how much that the game shouldn't exist. I think that it was a good learning experience but it is truly a game I wish was never created and that no one should ever play it.Wed, 12 Oct 2011 00:35:59 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4792&iddiary=8913Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Sun, 09 Oct 2011 14:32:34https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4792Continued playing the Columbine Massacre RPG today. Still a horrible game in all aspects but at least I finally got to the combat part of the game. Though I am happy I made it to the combat, I do have to say that it to is a poorly made system. For the combat you can just click the auto combat choice and the game does everything for you a bit boring and lazy if you ask me. Well so far the game has been a bad experience from the story that is based off of a terrible tragedy to the game system itself, so I am not expecting anything better to say for my final entry tomorrow.Sun, 09 Oct 2011 14:32:34 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4792&iddiary=8862Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Sat, 08 Oct 2011 16:39:03https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4792I have just started playing the game and in all aspects the game is a bit dismal. The reasons why I dislike the game so for is because it is based off of a horrible incident and as a game itself it is poor. What I have played so far is poor since for an rpg it has little combat and the graphics are so poor I can't even read the text for when the characters talk.Sat, 08 Oct 2011 16:39:03 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4792&iddiary=8855Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas (PS2) - Tue, 27 Sep 2011 22:13:24https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4773Played San Andreas for the second time it really hasn't gotten any better for me. All you are doing is running around improving your gang so that you can control more respect. The game is just senseless violence of doing whatever you want so long as you don't get caught by the police. I got to the point in the game where you perform your first car chase trying to take out enemy gang members. After this point I stopped playing because I got bored from the senseless violence.Tue, 27 Sep 2011 22:13:24 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=4773&iddiary=8813
