This part was very strange. Unlike the rest of the game, I'm not entirely sure the purpose of this level. To add insult to injury these levels are particularly difficult. I died multiple times without making much progress. Never the less I continued to push through the levels until I eventually found Eric. At this point I was so frustrated with the gameplay and nature of the game I desisted.Fri, 17 May 2013 00:44:39 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5690&iddiary=10030Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Wed, 15 May 2013 13:51:08https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5690I picked up Columbine again and this time I tried to play through the game without killing anyone. That was extremely difficult. It took me like an hour and a half of restarting and restarting until I finally managed to get through to the library without killing anyone. That was an extremly frustrating and difficult proposition. The problem is its like trying to get 100% on anything. One mistake and its all over. That presented me with no end of trouble as I would bump into the enemies left and right while trying to nvagate the tight parking lot and hallways.Wed, 15 May 2013 13:51:08 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5690&iddiary=10026Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Wed, 15 May 2013 00:13:39https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5690I read the Columbine book written by David Cullen when I was in high school. This gave me unique insight into this game. That book covered a lot of information people dont really know about Columbine so I knew things most of my classmates probably did not. For example in the game you play as Eric Harris with Dylan ordering you around. That was the inverse of what actually happened in Columbine. Eric was the motivating party. I had a hard time playing this game so far because I'm not a sociopath or sadist. The beginning of this game started slowly and the instructions were poor. Eventually after like 50 tries I found mt way to the cafeteria and planted the bombs. Then for the first time I played through. I found out that if you run into the people you are forced to killed them or die. I killed 4 people on this first play through... It bothered me... A lot.Wed, 15 May 2013 00:13:39 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5690&iddiary=10015Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (PC) - Thu, 25 Apr 2013 00:23:02https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5659For my last day of Grand Theft Auto I decided to screw around. To this end I started to delve more deeply into the use of cheat codes. It started firstt with screwing around with the rarer vehicles like the helicopters and tank. After this the real fun started when I entered a cheat code to give the civilians weapons, followed by cheat to cause them to riot. Before I knew it the game had devolved into city wide riot. It was amusing and allowed me to commit crimes indiscriminately, seeing as the cops were other wise occupied. It also led to a number of humorous events such as the old lady who blew up a cop car with a rocket launcher. All of this added up t make the game less of a gangland game and more of an all out third person shooter. I spent at least an hour and a half cruising around the city on a jet pack getting into shoot outs with random groups of police officers and civilians before stopping.Thu, 25 Apr 2013 00:23:02 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5659&iddiary=9971Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (PC) - Tue, 23 Apr 2013 23:40:33https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5659After playing a little bit further into San Andreas any sense of "conventional" morality is lost. CJ has sunk fully into the life as a gangster, running guns, selling drugs and getting into shoot outs with and killing other gang members. What's more every move he takes to try and dig his way out of his hole only pushes him deeper. He is trying to get out of the hole the C.R.A.S.H. officers have him in but they have him firmly rapped in their grip. This is eventually made worse when CJ's brother is arrested after being involved in a gang war. With no other Recourse CJ is forced to flee the city. In this play cycle we see CJ fully immersed in the gang lifestyle. After being forced back in by the police, he is simply forced to go deeper and deeper into the hole in the mere hopes of getting back out.Tue, 23 Apr 2013 23:40:33 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5659&iddiary=9956Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (PC) - Mon, 22 Apr 2013 23:57:04https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5659In the opening of GTA you are introduced to "CJ" the main character of San Andreas. He is an African American who came from a a bad neighborhood and has a rough history. Within a few minutes of the beginning of the game, he returns home because his mother has been murdered and he wants to attend her funeral. Within a very short period of time he is captured by two dirty police officers and forced to work for them lest they frame him for the a murder they have just committed. This is an example of utilitarianism where CJ is forced into doing bad things which will (hopefully) have a good resolution. He returns home, and joins up with his brother and their friends with the intention of restarting their gang and once again becoming the dominant gang in the city. Before long CJ has fully reintegrated into gang life, getting in firefights and attacking gun shipments. He has taken the first steps down a slippery slope.Mon, 22 Apr 2013 23:57:04 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=5659&iddiary=9945
