AlexCerv's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=1937Yakuza 0 (PS4) - Wed, 11 Apr 2018 00:03:11https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6651GameLog 2: During my gameplay, i see a culture issue in this game where women in this game are very women are assigned as sex objects. In one of the sub stories called Sexy Hook- Up, I play as Kiryu meet up with the girl named Ayaka in purple at a hotel for a hook-up. The reward I received is her page number, so I can meet up with her again for hook-ups. This sub-story mission achieves nothing on my character upgrade or impact to the story game-player. The reward I received was earning Ayaka after she hooked-up with Kiryu in the hotel. As a player, i would criticize that it was a waste of time. Prostitution in the games doesn't feel like an award that could be useful as i continue throughout the gameplay. If the game is going to block the sex-scene then what is the point of that sub-story to be part of the game? I've never heard of the Yakuza series. Throughout the gameplay, i was impress with the graphics. The storytelling is a lot grasp for there group of Japanese mafias and know there members as well. The combat fighting is very brutal because of the punches and blood splattered scenes that happens. It's kind of funny for when i fight a group, there is title that labels in-front. For example, "HOOLIGANS", but i wasn't sure if there the bad guys? A lot of alcohol-use in this game for sure.Tue, 10 Apr 2018 23:51:12 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6651&iddiary=11839Yakuza 0 (PS4) - Thu, 29 Mar 2018 22:39:57https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6651A npc character name Ruby approach to me (Kiryu) and i asked do i wanna hang-out and i chose yes in my option dialogue. Thus, substory called "The Truth About Beauty" was initialized. Soon, the screen turned black but there might have been hints that Kiryu was about to get physical with Ruby. However, Kiryu discovered Ruby was a man in-disguised. Ruby laughed and said "got more than what you bargained for?" Kiryu, was on his knees hurling as he was feeling humiliated. Then Ruby's brother approach to the scene, as he explained about his plot was just so they can rob Kiryu's wallet. Kiryu fights Ruby's brother but he learned that Ruby's brother is a woman in-disguised. In the game, during their fight, some moments were really extreme fights like Kiryu picking-up a motorcycle and bashes Ruby. Skull-cracking and head bashing on the ground were very gruesome. Also, i had a crowd around me during this fight and they were entertained with the brawl. At the end, they both submit to Kiryu and ran away from him. Realistically, i don't know how Ruby was able to run away after Kiryu threw down that random motorcycle he picked-up and wield it like a sword and hit him? Is it morally right to take fights to the extreme? There is a video i came across on YouTube called "RESPECTING WOMEN KIWAMI STYLE". A video where Kiryu fights Ruby for about five minutes. The bone-cracking and bleed-out were very surreal. I was morally disturbed of how the youtuber changed the narration to where it looks like Kiryu is beating a random woman up badly on the streets. Ruby being tortured and beaten for that amount of length is, to me, disgusting. Basically, the title speaks for itself where you play as the warden. Furthermore, i guess, being the warden makes my character public enemy number one in prison. Also, i can't attack because its supposedly a "legal" establishment. What, i believe, makes this game challenging is recruiting guards are expensive. As a result, my prison will have more prisoners than guards as i start out this game. I'm not really off to a great start, because there have been more prisoner deaths as i construct my prison. I've been very frugal on how i spend, thus people die. I feel like a failure as warden as i play this game. In addition, i believe, if Kant were around to see my gameplay, he would judge my position as a warden. However, it is a game with a large amount of drugs, violence, and brutality that does not build tolerance. This warden mode continues to support my argument from previous two logs that this game is depressing to watch and creates increases consequences as i decide on how i want to spend my money. Other than that, it is a challenging to play, and i would recommend this game to anyone if they don't use moral and ethics to conflict their gameplay. I played in one of the extras called escaped mode. After about an hour of playing around this feature as an inmate, i will share what i enjoyed and disliked about this game design. I like that i can build reputation, because i need to become more popular in prison where i can have a gang (or army) to increase my chances of escaping. One thing i don't get about prisoner guards mechanics is the brutality. For instance, if i'm bleeding after melee, tasered, or shot by the guards, i lose health but i have to find my way to the infirmary. What makes this game hard for me is the fact as i bleed to find the infirmary, and i get handcuffed by the police when i touch something? After i've been handcuffed, i'm sent to my cell as i continue to bleed there. As i said before from my previous log, this game is a bit depressing and shows how police mistreat inmates. However, it is hard if the inmates are more brutal than the police?Thu, 15 Feb 2018 00:21:37 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6594&iddiary=11664Prison Architect (PC) - Tue, 13 Feb 2018 00:52:17https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6594I played Prison Architect for a bit. The game design is a fun customize, creative way for players to engage. The game starts out confusing because i didn't really know what was going on; however, i love how this sandbox game teaches me to be self-aware on my resources to spend and pushes me to be more innovative. Although this game is very fun and addicting, i have to keep reminding myself that i am creating a prison layout. Prison is not suppose to be fun, but this game makes it fun? One of features i discovered in this game is that i can choose to choose on how you punish your prisoner. I am going to continue to mess around with this game and see how much of a strong tolerance i've added in my own prison and how much it affects the prisoners.Tue, 13 Feb 2018 00:52:17 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6594&iddiary=11611Shadow of Mordor (XBONE) - Fri, 19 Jan 2018 00:06:03https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6545I've completed the game. I enjoyed the game and i am looking forward to play Shadow of War. Anyways, I'll share my final thought about the game overall. The game design feature on the game to have a control an orc army against Sauron sounds very fun especially if you're a Lord of the RIngs' fan! I love how they brought Golem into the game. However, Golem still continues to be a mystery because he can see the Bright Master somehow? I was disappointed about the final boss battle, the Black Hand, because it was too easy again. There was no climax or something to make it challenging. Also, some of the missions felt the same like on how to go up against war chief or building an army. I mean the Mordor felt like playground for me to mess around after my character was too strong. Basically, it can get boring once your character feels invincible. Overall, i loved the story. Furthermore, i cannot wait to play Shadow of War. I wish it was on the list so i have homework reasons to play it, but i can play after the Spring semester.Fri, 19 Jan 2018 00:06:03 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6545&iddiary=11562Shadow of Mordor (XBONE) - Thu, 18 Jan 2018 00:28:40https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6570As i continued throughout this game, i stopped where i met dwarf name Torvin. Not sure if i feel like i am half way with the game though? I've played for more than several hours, and i am loving it! The graphics are amazing! I think i may have said that before from recent log entry. Anyways, i think its unusual for a world inside Mordor to have beautiful nature of clear blue water and bright green grass where as there are despair, rocks, sand, and darkness spreading throughout. I understand this game is a story telling of the rise of Sauron and the construction of deep behind of the gates of Mordor. The character developments are pretty intriguing. I mean favorite characters are currently Talion & Celembrimor. They are like the dynamic duo in the game. The story development is engaging as well. So far, the only game design flaw i have is it is just too easy to not die that much. For instance, the boss battles aren't that tough or i maybe they're not that strong? There too many chances for you to avoid death when it comes to execution. I think the only way you can i die instantly is when you have several Caragors coming at you.Thu, 18 Jan 2018 00:28:40 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6570&iddiary=11520Shadow of Mordor (XBONE) - Tue, 16 Jan 2018 21:45:35https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6545Shadow of Mordor is certainly a game that reminds me of Dungeon and Dragons because of the middle age world and the enemies you face such as Uruk-Hai. The graphics and game design are very interesting and pretty, minus the ritual performed from the Black Hand of Sauron. There is a lot of mystery when the game begins, because of what happened to Talion. Furthermore, finding out who this spiritual, ghostly shape, Elf Lord is and white is he important of the game? The combat game design starts off pretty easy, and think that is fair, for it helps gamers to continue play the game and not struggle. So far, the game seems very fun and engaging.Tue, 16 Jan 2018 21:45:35 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6545&iddiary=11469
