U1's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=1990Nier: Automata (PS4) - Sun, 04 Nov 2018 14:33:47https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6862Sunday November 4, 2018. "We're soldiers. We take pride in our service." But 2B doesn't want to leave 9S behind, even if his situation seems irreparable. Although 2B is an android, she does seem to have feelings. Doesn't she? What is this? Compassion? What we should all have for each other? Correct? But 2B does leave 9S. After 2B climbs into the flying machine that comes to pick her up she really aims to kill, kill, kill that huge boss that hurt 9S so badly. His eyes are bright red again. "It talks? I didn't know the machines had that kind of intelligence," comments 2B about the huge boss. 2B had to remove the machine's arm and fight against the machine with its own arm. She eventually hit the huge boss on its eye. When 2B falls, 9S with his only arm and sole leg reappear to comfort her. "The black box. It's ready," says 9S holding it, after three additional huge bosses have appeared. Things couldn't get worse, it appears. 2B holds her own black box. "It's an honor to fight with you," says 9S. "The honor was mine," replies 2B. As they they bring each other's small black box together, they destroy themselves? 9S uploaded 2B's data and she thanks him for it; they're in complete, fine shape in this scene. YoRHa for the glory of mankind. Androids in the year A.D. 5012. Then a voice explains the story that more or less says this. "In the year in which the glorious history of humanity came to an abrupt end. When the world was invaded by aliens from beyond the stars. The aliens released a new kind of weapon, machine life forms that annihilated human civilization. The handful of survivors that remained left the Earth, seeking refuge on the moon. 5204 A.D. Humanity launched its counterattack, deploying an army of androids from a network of orbiting bases. But after more than a dozen large scale descents upon the enemy we still haven't managed to repel the invaders. That is why you, the YoRHa forces exist. To break this once and for all. You are our ultimate weapon. You must put an end to this war." So the androids reply "understood Sir." And the voice wishes them "good hunting." "Glory to man kind," say the androids with much respect, fidelity, devotion. Impressive phrase. "Glory to mankind," responds the voice. The player is able to adjust his android, brightness and what have you. "Go ahead and adjust your voice so you can hear me." This game really involves the player, to take care of the settings. "If things go wrong, you may have to sacrifice yourself in order to complete the operation," is what more or less says the objective voice in a very calm, friendly tone. So yes, go ahead and kill yourself as long as the operation is a success. And after the setting we are able to see 2B's eyes as she gets up. The scene is very black and white. Maybe the androids see in black and white? Additionally, if you play online, like on Dark Souls with the blood stains, you can get information from other androids who have committed suicide, you can get the android, the pieces that are left of it, more or less that. The simple robots in the game look like the cell phone "Androids"' hmmm.Sun, 04 Nov 2018 14:33:47 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6862&iddiary=12209Nier: Automata (PS4) - Sat, 03 Nov 2018 20:43:01https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6862Saturday night, November 3, 2018. Those like fire balls are constant for 2B, but she beats them all. The music starts getting some soft chanting in the background, which adds interest to the music. The game's control is intuitive, agile, fast. I like the polite language of the conversation between the scanner and 2B. "Emotions are prohibited. And another thing. Stop calling me Ma'am, it's unnecessary." Wow, she's cold. Stoicism isn't new, the Romans practiced it quite well. Maps in this game are creative, not linear boring. The scanner and 2B refer to humans as far away creatures. Did they move to the moon, the humans? Camera changes well in the game too; preventing monotony. Shooting is fine but almost harmless, so 2B has to get closer to cause damage with her sword. It's a different games. It's a third person camera. It's nice to view. 2B seems invincible with her swords, knocking down all those robots. Awesome, 2B can even keep herself in the air for a moment while fighting; plus she hits and shoots simultaneously. 2B surveys the entire factory but can't find anything resembling their target, she says. Eventually I don't hear any music in the game. 2B surprised to see a bird. They still have plants on Earth. The character's movement is attractive, moves well, frontwards, backwards. "I wouldn't bet on that;" 2B has no intuition, she's not human, but her guesses are quite ready-witted. Those machines look mean; and the music returns. What an impressive boss she encounters, that out of a machine transforms into this giant robot; you can hardly see its face because it's huge. A face with red eyes; couldn't be more machinelike. Just when it's about to hit me, I can hit it back. Fortunately, 2B's partner 9S shows up to help her out. Since 9S flies he can "provide support." "Proposal. Evade." I like the style of those phrases. The singing within the music intensifies as the battle gets harder against that enormous boss. A few missiles and the huge boss is defeated, his red eyes turn off. But 9S also loses his flying artifact. Just when 2B climbs on the huge defeated boss, searching for 9S, that huge boss revives. When 2B finally finds 9S he's in critical condition. And more robots to fight against; 2B does a good job. (This entry has been edited12 times. Nier: Automata is a solid action game with a fun platforming and excellent feedback in combat. I like the script. The story is excellent. It's a very long game but I'm only playing the beginning. Can't play the game in extreme difficulty because the game would be practically impossible to pass. So "difficult" level should be enough. "Everything that lives is designed to end", great line by the way. Subtitles are very small, in case the player would need/want to see another language. I totally enjoy the sensation of flying a spaceship. The music is very good, particularly with headphones of course. Nice attack, shooting looks nice on the screen. Of course I've always like these spaceships that transform into action figures with their sword and all, impressive. Such an exciting beginning is pleasantly unexpected. It's fun to upgrade your level quite easily. The game has lots of life. Shooting plus attacking and destroying employing the sword is fun. The female protagonist is presented like a very interesting person/character, like Samus in Metroid, kind of sort of. A small flying robot as a companion is more than welcome. The game has speed. "Enemy destroyed." When the protagonist destroys that big simple looking chubby robot "Not quite," the protagonist's response in her lovely voice. LOL. She runs very fast in those high heels; video game logic. She did beat that spinning sword artifact. What's her name anyways? (2B) Then she meets this other guy. Both dressed in black. "The" color I suppose. The question is, how do they see with those masks across their eyes? Also enjoyed changing weapons. Great double jumps 2B is able to do, but then again, she's not human. Permanent music is pleasant, entertaining, exciting, repetitive also. (This entry has been edited7 times. Despite it being a game about contract killing it is rather humorous. Mainly thanks to the manager character who also serves as the narrator. The hints which she provides turns the game into somewhat of a comedy. The targets that you eliminate are often for greater good. Agent 47 has a constant pattern of behavior of placing his victims inside boxes or closets after he has taken from them what he needs. Agent 47 also instead of using a gun, simply throws the Okinawan Tonfa at his target to bring him down and wear his victim's clothes for as long as he needs them. A military uniform for instance. And changes into another military uniform, this time with a red beret after knocking down his victim with his Okinawan Tonfa. Again, this is a point the game clearly makes, people only notice the uniform, not the person. Even when being turned away by guards simply by picking a suitable uniform players can bypass most forms of security. (This entry has been edited4 times. The emphasis of "crime noticed" written on the screen; "Gunshot Heard", "Close Combat Heard" makes me feel rather uncomfortable while playing the game. I do like the "poison", "Target Lockdown", "follow the target", "Suspicious", "subdue", "Opportunity Revealing", "Pick Up", "Slide", "Vault", "Dismiss", "combat", "turn off", "open", "place", "detonate", labels easily read on the screen for it aids my playing. The multiple ways to taking down the victim (I don't want to write my victim) would be a parallel to real life, wouldn't it? Of course I can proceed as I want, in the game. The experience that I am having while playing Hitman (Complete First Season) is diverse, intense, in general I felt "cool". When asked "tell me, what did it feel like taking lives?" the protagonist replies "random, disorder." Then roaming through a warehouse and the indication "disguise as a mechanic" written on the screen, which helps me instructions and is what I'm going to do. It's true, people tend to see uniforms, not faces; and it works, you know, in the game. I liked the gorgeously decorated hallways through which Agent 47 runs with his weapon on his back. I even find it hilarious how he can run through the kitchen without any of the employees at the kitchen paying any attention to him and his large weapon on his back. First off, it is rather difficult to relate Hitman to Ethics given that it is not a game about ethics, it is a game about business. Hitman is a stealth game in which the player takes the role of a hitman and takes hitman jobs for money, like a hitman. The gameplay felt very systematic. The game was not bad by any means but it was not spectacular either. It was fun. There was an unnecessary amount of loading screens during the intro., which crippled the game's immersion. The game was not particularly tense. Agent 47 has an entirely business approach to being a hitman. It's nothing personal. (This entry has been edited5 times. Tiny Six climbed on a chair to reach the door knob and open a door. She finally passed. Six saw babies sleeping in a crib. They never woke up, they were always asleep. I was surprised by a large man and his shadow entering the room. But he didn't come to take care of the babies in the crib, he just passed by the room. Eventually I was on some bookshelves and the long arms of the man tried to reach me and I would try to escape. Throughout the game I also encountered cooks with shaggy faces that looked like masks. Nobody talks to me in this game; it's only images. I finally reached the mysterious Geisha and with a mirror almost my size I defended myself from her; the mirror was my weapon in a way.Fri, 31 Aug 2018 13:19:55 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6727&iddiary=12020Little Nightmares (PS4) - Fri, 31 Aug 2018 13:10:22https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6727On Tuesday August 28 I began playing Little Nightmares. I couldn't tell if the character under the yellow raincoat was a girl or a boy. I wasn't aware of the place where the avatar was at. First it appeared to me that the character could have been kidnapped. She pops out of a suitcase with no apparent explanation. There's a couple of pictures inside the cover of the luggage piece. The image of a Geisha was evident since the beginning of the game. I didn't understand if she was a good character or a mean one. Wanted to believe that she was benevolent but she didn't seem kind. The child in the raincoat, Six, had some light in one of her hands and she would pass through tunnels until she reached a place with huge toilets and toilet rolls that I as the player tried to throw to pass a door that was blocked with electricity. I turned off the power in the room with great effort to reach the lever, since Six is smaller than everything around her; like some small rag doll. And I was able to pass through the door, since the electricity was off. Another noticeable element was Six's hunger, she inspired pity. Fri, 31 Aug 2018 13:10:22 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6727&iddiary=12018Little Nightmares (PS4) - Tue, 28 Aug 2018 18:27:48https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6727Is it possible that "Little Nightmares" is a trip to your inner self; to that tunnel that most of us could have inside? Beauty is important for a geisha; when geishas get old, they could feel jealous of youth's looks. Broken mirrors are usually seen as bad luck. Six is a tiny creature in comparison to the rest of the world; items and the large man. So small that Six has to use a chair to climb on and be able to open the door. The dim light and tiny size of the avatar adds to the nightmare experience. Could it be like feeling small against the world? The scenario is a place that could be nice but is like a nightmare; the toy train for instance and the babies sleeping in the cribs with apparently no one to look after them. The electricity on the door, the leeches, the man with the long arms are all horror elements. First there's an atmosphere like going through a prison, like a ship, restaurant; all this confusion/terror contributes to the nightmare ambient. I find it challenging to be solving puzzles, like the one of fetching the key from the jar on top of the table, running away from the leech that accompanied the key. And finally opening the door with the key; the sense of accomplishment that obtaining keys and opening doors provides. A creature coming out of the water trying to grab Six is more than a nightmare, of course. Rats and many of them contribute to the disturbances that make part of this game but to end up trapped in a cage manipulated by unknown hands in an uncertain destiny is the worst part. Possibly, cruelty towards children is one of the greatest nightmares. Is Six meant to be the geisha's successor? Perhaps Six represents the future in this story and the geisha could possibly be jealous of Six's future due to her youth. So many shoes stacked together almost in a sea, makes you wonder if there's a genocide going on. And if so, for what purpose? Would it be ethical to commit a genocide whatever the cause may be? Six seems to be escalating through a floating concentration camp or restaurant managed by the geisha or big boss in this game. And Six seems to be willing to do everything that she has to do to get out of there, even if that represents tarnishing her soul on the way up/out. (This entry has been edited14 times.
