kevinfan's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=2023A Mortician's Tale (PC) - Fri, 09 Nov 2018 15:55:52https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6907So this game involves a lot of reading, and I am really annoyed by the amount of text. So far I have been cleaning bodies and listening in on stories. It really gives me a creepy vibe, but I like it.Fri, 09 Nov 2018 15:55:52 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6907&iddiary=12340A Mortician's Tale (PC) - Thu, 08 Nov 2018 13:36:46https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6907So I started playing "A Mortician's Tale". It appears to be a management based game. I play as Charlie, who just started working as a mortician. I really like the art style, it feels really clean. I just started the game, and all the information about out character is obtained by reading emails on the computer in the game.Thu, 08 Nov 2018 13:36:46 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6907&iddiary=12302Little Nightmares (PS4) - Thu, 27 Sep 2018 23:52:48https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6820I just finished playing little nightmares, it wasn't easy. Towards the end of the game, everything went from creepy to straight up horrifying. The final boss battle was against a spooky ghost lady that has supernatural powers. Even after beating the game, I still have so many questions, I really want to understand the meaning behind everything. Was this a story about a kid coming of age? Or was it about child abuse. Either way, this game has definitely made it into my top favorite games.Thu, 27 Sep 2018 23:52:48 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6820&iddiary=12182Little Nightmares (PS4) - Wed, 26 Sep 2018 23:18:11https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6820I played a little further than before, I finally saw the monster or one of them at least. The monster has a giant head and disproportionately long arms, it’s appearance was really disturbing. It appears to be caring for children that have been imprisoned in this place. Although I still have no idea what was going on, the game never ceases to impress me. After playing a bit more, I finally realized that this place is more like a prison for kids, there are kids everywhere. Even though there were no dialogs, their behavior suggests that they are kept here against their will. There are prison bars and heavy metal doors everywhere, there is even a sentry eye that turns escaping children into stones. Even though I played for hours I haven't actually gotten far into the game yet, the reason behind that was because I accidentally spent hours in a random room thinking that it is essential to progression, took a while for me to realize the room was inconsequential. I wasted most of my free time in that room, I will try to finish this game in the coming days so I can figure out what this game is about.Wed, 26 Sep 2018 23:18:11 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6820&iddiary=12117Little Nightmares (PS4) - Tue, 25 Sep 2018 22:43:44https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6820I just started playing little nightmare. The game started out with you controlling a little kid with a yellow raincoat. It was really dark and the only illumination was from a tiny little lighter. After a few minutes of silence, I realized this was one of those games. Its atmosphere was enough to pull me in. The more I play the more interesting the game gets. The game has you solving puzzles to clear a path so you can keep moving forward, which the game hasn’t been clear on why. There are scary sounds and thing moving in the dark, which just adds to the game's charm. It’s just so interesting. There is definitely a deeper meaning in this game, I just haven’t played enough to make out.Tue, 25 Sep 2018 22:43:44 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6820&iddiary=12084Nier Automata (PS4) - Sat, 01 Sep 2018 16:13:30https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6774I played Nier: automate, to a point where I have to visit an amusement park. What surprised me the most was the fact that all the robots here are peaceful, except for some interesting looking one. The rest of the robots were really helpful with directions and they even sell me items. Up till this point the game was antagonizing the machines, even the npc follower I have wants me to destroy even the peaceful ones. At the very end of the amusement park was a boss. The boss robot was a huge singing machine dressed up in android corpses, it was quite disturbing actually. After many failed attempts I finally beat it. After the boss fight I was invited to a quaint little town created by peaceful robots. This town made me wonder whether all the robots are sentient or only a selected few are, if so have I been killing them due to misunderstanding. The robots in the village not only have emotions but also dreams, they have family as well as friends. What’s so different between the androids and the machines?Sat, 01 Sep 2018 16:13:30 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6774&iddiary=12028Nier Automata (PS4) - Thu, 30 Aug 2018 16:45:08https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6774I started playing Nier Automata, not knowing much about this franchise, the beginning of the game was a little confusing. However, through time i was able to understand a fragment of it's concept and ideas. The main focus of the story was the war between mankind and machines, and the protagonist was an android made to battle the machines. There were a lot of mysteries and questions unanswered, but I am pretty sure it's just due to me not getting that far in the game. My first impression on the game was "this game is gorgeous". The music and the open-world design was simply breathtaking, and the animation was as smooth as a baby's butt. I am definitely looking forward in finishing the game.Thu, 30 Aug 2018 16:45:08 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=6774&iddiary=11984
