The objective to gather coins, as well, for they are necessary for buying essential items such as stars and determine the game winner in the event of a tie. Coins are earned from landing on blue spaces, from passing the start point, and from winning mini games. They are lost from landing on red spaces, from passing Bowser and from losing mini games. They can also be stolen from other players who pay Boo to take coins from you. I have also found the game having a great selection of mini games to play in, which made the game less boring for the players allowing a longer gaming excitement. There are still many other flaws in the game to talk about, but overall I had a great experience playing the game, and people who likes to play party games to play this!Fri, 23 Feb 2007 00:21:10 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1375&iddiary=2913Mario Party (N64) - Fri, 23 Feb 2007 00:15:44https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1375It has been a couple years since the last time I played Mario Party so when I went to play the game again it was still new to me. I played with a couple of friends of mine who owned the game, for mario party is supposely a great multiplayer game. From playing the game for a little while learning the bases of the game, it seemed the gameplay takes the form of a traditional board game, with players taking turns to roll the die (dubbed a "diceblock") and move ahead the number of spaces shown. There are many different types of spaces players can land on, each producing a different effect. The primary objective of the game is to collect more stars than any other player. The winner of the game is the player with the most stars after all the turns have been completed. So far the game has been fun with the great choice of character selection, especaily when playing with a group of friends making the game have a more competitive play.Fri, 23 Feb 2007 00:15:44 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1375&iddiary=2912Marvel Ultimate Alliance (Wii) - Fri, 09 Feb 2007 02:10:25https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1197After playing for a couple hours, we got into the more deeper experience of the game. Our characters where now in the mid level range (18). We now had more character skills, and character stats improvements, which gave the game a wider view of the character game play. The challenges of the game didn't really change much, although the game didn't lose to much of its interest because of the interaction you make during the game with your teamates. I didn't really pay to much attention to the story of the game because we constantly skipped most of the cut scenes of the game, However I did spend more time paying attention to the game play. At first the game play didn't have to much to offer, but later on the game there are a lot more changes in the game play because of the character leveling, which was what made Marvel Ultimate Alliance a fun game to play.Fri, 09 Feb 2007 02:10:25 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1197&iddiary=2559Marvel Ultimate Alliance (Wii) - Fri, 09 Feb 2007 01:54:56https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1197Marvel Ultimate Aliance has been one of the very few action role-playing game I have played. I started out playing with two other friends of mine. The game begins with a quick in game action with a limited character selection of 4. The character we chose where Captain America, Thorn, and Wolvering. The gameplay of game was very unique, because of the game being a action role-playing it had a 2D game view mixed with 3D visuals. The action experience of the game was very simple, fighting off the enemies and then a Boss when you reach a end point. The game also consisted of a character leveling sequence because of the rpg experience which I found made the game even more funner for the player to develop there own character as they wish. After clearing the first level you were allowed to have the choice to change characters, which had a wide variety from the Marvel series. My friends and I chose to make a balance team consisting of a range character (Iron man), Tank (Thing), and a melee damage dealer (Wolverine). Being able to pick your type of team setup gave a good strategic experience of the game. So far I have found the game very interactive with your teamates, and also fun to play.Fri, 09 Feb 2007 01:54:56 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1197&iddiary=2553Goldeneye 007 (N64) - Wed, 31 Jan 2007 00:33:24https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=982After playing for a hour or so, the game got a lot easier. The learning experience of the game was quick. The maps where simple so it was easy to get use too, as well with the choice of weapons depending on what you chose to play with on the map. I believe this game is great for multiplayer action, I see it as one of the best game console FPS game for multiplayer. Multiplayer consisted of deathmatch mode which is fun if you don't like to wait for another round, which is something I don't like to wait for. Overall I feel the game was best in the event of playing with a group of friends, although I do not think I would spend time playing the single player mode because of the less suspense of killing your friend that is playing with you. A great example of a game that seems simple for a FPS, but also a addictive party game.Wed, 31 Jan 2007 00:33:24 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=982&iddiary=2144Goldeneye 007 (N64) - Wed, 31 Jan 2007 00:27:27https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=982I would like to first say when i first played the game I did not play in the 1 player story mode, but instead I played multiplayer with 3 other friends of mine. I am also a person who loves to play first person shooter games. When we first started playing my friend showed me the selections of weapons you can pick from which has a high range of selections for what ever you would prefer to play with on the map. Looking at the type of characters you can pick out of had many to pick from depending how far you got in the single player mode. Althoug I feel it doesnt really matter what kind of character you pick since its just first person shooter, and all you see is your weapon and cross air. When the game started I found myself getting beat up by my buddy's who have played the game a lot. One thing I liked was the respawn time of your character after you die, which is only for a few seconeds.Wed, 31 Jan 2007 00:27:27 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=982&iddiary=2140Super Smash Brothers (N64) - Fri, 19 Jan 2007 03:23:56https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=770After playing the game for a hour or two with a group of friends the game seemed very competitive, and very enjoyable. I notice how the game was just made perfect for multiplayer action, seeing that I cant find anything wrong with it or anything that I didn't like in the game. Although after a little later I chose to play the one player mode. For some reason after playing for a maybe 15-20 minutes I began to get bored of the game. I believe from self preferences after playing the multiplayer part of the game with a group of friends, the one player mode of the game just doesn't seem to match the multiplayer game aspects. I believe this game is a very well made for social activities, seeing how I notice when you see people playing this game there is always a group of people instead of seeing just one person playing. Overall I like the game, I don't really know the full knowledge of the game since i don't own it, but the first impression I recieved from the game was very enjoyable.Fri, 19 Jan 2007 03:23:56 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=770&iddiary=1711Super Smash Brothers (N64) - Fri, 19 Jan 2007 03:12:44https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=770During the first act of playing the game Super Smash Brothers, I was playing with a group of friends. At the start of the game you choose from multiple characters. At the first look of all the characters I had noticed a great range of character selection (many familiar to other Nitendo Games). I ended up choosing the character I'm most familiar with known as Zelda. I would like to also add that I was also playing with a friends and we decided to play 2v2comps for fun. In gameplay this game seems very fun for a party game. From playing I couldnt really find no bad flaws in the game. All the chracters seem to be balanced out, not having a overpowered character. The different typs of maps also makes the game entertaining. Some maps were more challenging and more strategic making the game less boring from playing the same kinda of maps over and over again. I also notice while playing with my friend there is also a lot of team work in the game when you play with teamates which also makes the game more funner. So far the game seems addicting playing with 4 player games, especialy when playing with a group of friends.Fri, 19 Jan 2007 03:12:44 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=770&iddiary=1709Final Fantasy XII (PS2) - Fri, 12 Jan 2007 02:10:58https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=556Playing the game Final Fantasy XII I found myself really getting into the game. You find yourself getting more into the storyline and end up seeking to find out what will happen next. After playing for about a couple (4) of hours of the game you reach closer to the actual game experience for the game. You have a larger party group, which you are allowed to play as all of them while having a computer UI system for each character, giving a boost of enjoyment playing as multiple characters instead of sticking to just one same old character. As you get later into the game you run into many cut scenes, which some people might find upsetting if you are the type of player who likes to actualy play the game instead of watching a clip. Although in my opinion i found the cut scense to mix very well in the game play, giving the perfect game flow of artistic work. Overall if your a RPG gamer this is a must have game, beautiful art work and storyline, as well a new combat system for the Final Fantasy series, which gives that major boost for a more real time battle experience.Fri, 12 Jan 2007 02:10:58 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=556&iddiary=1303Final Fantasy XII (PS2) - Fri, 12 Jan 2007 01:57:38https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=556When i first started playing the game Final Fantasy XII it brought me back to the older game series of Final Fantasy. At the start of a new game you experience a long Cinimatic Scene of the game, describing the story of the game. In personal perspective I love the Final Fantasy cut scenes, especialy because of its high graphics and voice acting being superb. Instead of being confused of what to do when you first start a RPG (Role Playing Game) Final Fantasy had a short Tutorial in the begganing of the game. You where found to play the brother of a main character in the game "Vein" and learned how to control your character, as well learning the new type of combat system. I found the new combat system similiar to the Final Fantasy 11 game, which cought my enjoyment of the game. Overall so far the Early cut scenes and high graphics was a major sucsess for the Playstation 2 console.Fri, 12 Jan 2007 01:57:38 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=556&iddiary=1297
