jyclark's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=289Halo 2 (XBX) - Sun, 11 Feb 2007 23:49:53https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1309One of the big things that I enjoy about Halo 2 is the amount of different multiplayer modes there are. For instance, you can play capture the flag, free for all, king of the hill and many other premade modes. Also, you can create your own modes, too. My friends and I like to play one mode where all you can use is grenades and you fists. Also, we play a mode where you have no shields, no radar, and only human guns. It makes it more realistic. We call it Swat. One of the big things I dont like about Halo 2 is that you can't run. You always run the same speed. There is no turbo button. It's a small thing, but for some reason it really bugs me.Sun, 11 Feb 2007 23:49:53 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1309&iddiary=2801Halo 2 (XBX) - Sun, 11 Feb 2007 19:14:17https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1309Halo 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. My main reason for loving the game is the ability to play against other people. I can play people online or with other people on the same xBox. It is so much fun. I'm not the best Halo player in the world, but I can hold my own with just about anyone. Generally, I don't like to play video games by myself. However, I throroughly enjoy playing with friends, and Halo 2 is one of the best multiplayer games on the market. I enjoy the different weapons that one can use in Halo 2, and I also enjoy the fact that they have their own unique strategies. For instance, the plasma pistol takes off another players shield which makes them very vulnerable. So when a plasma pistol is combined with a battle rifle or a smg, you can kill an opponent pretty easily.Sun, 11 Feb 2007 19:14:17 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1309&iddiary=2796Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - Wed, 31 Jan 2007 20:15:29https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1065Probably the only problem that I think GTA-San Andreas has is the low-resolution textures. Other than that, it is pretty much a flawless game. It is amazing how much fun this game can be, even after beating it. The amount of things to do with this game is countless. I particularly like updating the cars with nas and also going to fly the stunt airplane over Las Venturas. I also like how they have tried to make the different areas similiar to real life places. I also enjoy the fact that they use characters from past GTA games. For instance, Catalina, Ken Rosenberg, and Salvatore Leone all make appearences in the game. Also, the main character from GTA III is in the game. Overall, I love this game.Wed, 31 Jan 2007 20:15:29 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1065&iddiary=2391Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - Wed, 31 Jan 2007 15:56:29https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1065Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is an amazing game. I really like it. One of the main reasons I like this game, especially in regards to past Grand Theft Games, is the ability to really personalize the main character. Clothing, accessories, haircuts and tattoos are different things that can be altered. Another thing I like is the how there are many different celebrities providing voices to the game such as Samuel L. Jackson, James Wood, and Axl Rose. Typically, I am a big third-person shooter fan as well as a big driving game fan so this game, as well as the whole Grand Theft Auto series, is very appealing to me. On top of that, I am very interested in storylines like the one provided in this game. I've always been a big fan of movies such as the Godfather, Scarface, Training Day, or Dirty, which also makes this game very enjoyable to me. Another factor that makes this game so much fun, was the extremely large 3D environment. The ability to play in three huge interactive environments helps make this game amazing.Wed, 31 Jan 2007 15:56:29 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1065&iddiary=2287Mario Party (N64) - Sat, 20 Jan 2007 13:05:20https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=869After the first game, the two people who drank the most, decided to not play again. This time we played with two computer opponents. Also, we didn't drink this time because the computer would have a tough time drinking with us. We decided to play a different map and it was a really small one. It kind of sucked cuz the star never moved at all but it was a lot of fun nonetheless. I love how in this game you can play over and over and over and over and over again because it never gets old. It's not like a game that just you play it once and beat it and you never experience anything new again. In this game, you always experience something new.Sat, 20 Jan 2007 13:05:20 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=869&iddiary=1928Mario Party (N64) - Sat, 20 Jan 2007 12:57:06https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=869Mario Party is amazing. We just finished playing it and it was so fun. We played with four people, and we were all a little bit drunk. It was so much fun. We played so that if you came in one of the last three spots in one of the mini games you had to drink. This made it very fun. I tended to win a lot so I didn't have to drink too much, but still, this way of playing can really mess you up. I was Mario. One of my friends was Yoshi and we would just mess with him. The other three would always try to take away his gold and his stars. Even if it didn't help us win, like if he had none, we would take his stuff, just to piss him off. My friend Mark ended up winning as Peach. (This entry has been edited2 times. He decided to be Hawaii, and I decided to West Virginia. Here's the thing, West Virginia is kind of a cheap team. The quarterback is really fast and if you do it right, all you have to do is run the ball with the quarterback. Everytime you do that, you're almost guarunteed to get a first down. I also discovered that if you run the halfback double option, which is when you hand the ball off to the halfback, and he runs to the outside with the fullback behind him waiting to receive a pitch back if and when the halfback gets in trouble. I got an average of 5 yards per play on that everytime. Even when Ricky played a 3-4 defense, (there are 4 linebackers who are there to specifically stop the run) I was still able to gain considerable yardage. All in all is was a fun game for me. I ended up winning 35 to 7. However, I will admit that West Virginia has much better players than Hawaii. West Virginia is ranked in the top 10 and Hawaii is not ranked in the top 25. Regardless, it was a good victory against a solid opponent. I was very satisfied with the win.Fri, 12 Jan 2007 05:34:39 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=549&iddiary=1367NCAA Football 2007 (PS2) - Fri, 12 Jan 2007 02:47:47https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=549This game is amazing. I am a huge fan of college football and being able to play a realistic game is something that's very important to me. This game is as realistic as I've seen. It has many different features such as dynasty mode, campus legend, and regular season. For those who are just looking for a quick game, there is the regular play now function as well as many quick things that are very fun called spring drills. You can do a lot of drills that football teams practice in the offseason. The little games are very fun, and they actually help you get better at the game. During this session, I played my friend. He was University of Hawaii and I was Syracuse. It was a very intense game. It started with my friend, Ben, marching the ball down the field and right before he scored a touchdown, I intercepted the ball and returned it for a touchdown. From then on out, we traded touchdowns until I finally pulled away in the last minute. It was a very close game.Fri, 12 Jan 2007 02:47:47 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=549&iddiary=1317
