LEMONed's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=296Yoshi's Island (NES) - Fri, 09 Feb 2007 04:31:03https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1204Well, for the other half of the game, it's Yoshi's Island is pretty addictive, just as the other Super Mario games. Throughout the game, there was only one specific part that I got annoyed off. In the game, if Yoshi was to come in contact with an enemy, baby Mario somehow flies up into the sky in a little bubble making a really annonying crying sound. Only after when you get baby Mario back into your possession does he stop crying. Or, after awhile when the given amount of time is reached, baby Mario gets kidnapped by the enemy, and then it's game over basically for that stage. As the game progresses, the stages and/or levels become somewhat more difficult. Yet, it's still pretty manageable if one is pretty much into games.Fri, 09 Feb 2007 04:31:03 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1204&iddiary=2579Yoshi's Island (NES) - Fri, 09 Feb 2007 02:28:47https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1204During the first hour of playing Yoshi's Island, I had very much enjoyed playing this game. In this game, as the title had stated, the main character is Yoshi, instead of Mario, the usual hero of the Super Mario games. The main objective of this game is that all of the Yoshis must deliver baby Mario back to his mom and dad. To do that, the Yoshi's must past through each stage/world, being one step closer to delivering baby Mario back home. To me, this storyline is acually quite humorous as well as amusing. Another thing that I found quite interesting in this game is that for each level you beat, baby Mario is then transfered to another Yoshi of a different color. And from there, another adventure begins, as in another level to beat. Not only do the Yoshi's come in differet colors in different stages, but through some parts of the game, the Yoshi's are able to turn into helecopters, trains, etc. which is also quite entertaining to me. Overall, the game is quite simple to play and individuals of all ages is able to play this game without any difficulty. It is all very fun and entertaining.Fri, 09 Feb 2007 02:28:47 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1204&iddiary=2564Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - Wed, 31 Jan 2007 18:27:12https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1099CMPS 80k For me, I have never really been a big fan of the Grand Theft Auto series. However, this time I've decided to give Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas a try. To start off, the player controls the character CJ and must complete missions assigned. However, it is not a necessity. In this game, the player can practically choose to do what he or she wants. One can choose to just complete mission in the game, explore the area while stealing cars and killing off random people, and just generally do whatever the player wants to do. What I find most amusing about this game is that the graphics in GTA are quite realistic looking. People may not look realistic, but I find the scenery and background graphics to be very well done. Character interactions within the game is very amusing and interesting as well. Each of the different game characters respond differently towards CJ by giving different responses/comebacks if CJ was the attack a random person. Although this game is not as interesting as other games I would choose to play, it is quite interesting and fun to mess around with. Even so, I can't really stop playing it. The graphics in this game seems to be very simple and colorful, making it an eye catcher for even children and women of all ages. The one thing that I find most amusing in this game is the background music. For some reason I found it to be quite entertaining and funny at the same time. One fall back for this game is that it seems to get quite repetetive. I had already began to feel that this game was getting boring by the fourth stage where the objective was to make the ball 1m within 10min. As I play this game, I've noticed that I happen to get frustrated whenever I get stuck in a corner. It's either I get stuck in a corner or by a wall and is unable to turn around quickly enough or I fall into an area where I am unable to pick up any of the large items and is unable to climb up the steps. Other than that, I believe that this game is still fun and suitable for all ages and is quite entertaining despite the fact that over time, it gets repetetive. It's always the simplest and random games such as Katamari Damacy that attracts my attention. As a player, one plays a prince who's objective is pretty simple: to pick up objects with a ball. The player starts off with a simple ball. By rolling around the area, the ball is able to attract small objects such as nails, candy, and blocks. As the ball size increases, the player is then able to attract much larger objects such as birds, frogs, shoes, and guns. However, even so, the challenge of this game is that the player has to get the ball size to reach a certain size within a short amount of time. Being my first time play Katamari Damacy, it is very addicting. Although I spent awhile to figure out the controls of the game, it is in fact very simple and enjoyable game for all to play. This time I Yoshi was my main character for now. Compared to Toad, Yoshi goes a bit faster but doesn't really do as good on turns as Toad or Koopa. Once again, bananas was a common item I kept getting. However, this time I did get some more varieties. The challenge in the 100cc class round was a little bit more advanced as compared to the 50cc class round depending on the stages one tends to pick. Racing at Koopa Beach is probably the most amusing for me as I tend to get amused with the little fishes jumping around as compared to the Choco Island, which I completely hate to race at (Star Cup). I believe it has been a couple years since I've played this old school game. SMK has been a long time favorite of mine and I have never really became tired of this game. For today, I've used Toad, as he's always been a favorite character of mine in the Mario series. As I played, I ALWAYS seem to end up getting a banana peel as I cross over those question marks on the ground. I have only gotten one, just one red shell as everything else are banana peels. And for me, banana peels just don't work out as nobody ever falls for that. The stages are still all easy for me and Ghost Valley and Bowser Castle stages still remain my favorites.Fri, 12 Jan 2007 02:17:13 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=560&iddiary=1307
