teardrop's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=299Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - Fri, 23 Feb 2007 13:56:41https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1418After playing grand theft auto for a second round, I would have to say I pretty much dislike the game. I guess i just don't find it that much fun to play characters that just run around doing atrocious things. I can't believe my brother actually played the game. The game play was pretty good, but i think the idea of the game is a little absurd and too much. It's crazy to see how games went from fun, simple games like mario bros. to violent and intense games like grand theft auto.Fri, 23 Feb 2007 13:56:41 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1418&iddiary=2996Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - Fri, 23 Feb 2007 13:54:05https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1418so first time ever playing the notorious grand theft auto. I've never played the game before, but my little brother loved it. The game is sorta ridiculous, having people play gangsters, shooting people, stealing cars, picking up prostitutes. What? I'm pretty much shocked that kids play this game. I guess you can say its fun to play a game consisting of receiving missions of illegal activity etc. Allows people to go into the life of the gangster. THe gameplay I must say was alright, it was sorta difficult in the beginning, but i got the hang of the controls and movement after a while.Fri, 23 Feb 2007 13:54:05 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1418&iddiary=2993Guitar Hero II (PS2) - Mon, 12 Feb 2007 01:00:32https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1234I feel that in order for guitar hero to be better would be to make the playing experience closer to the experience of actually playing the guitar. Maybe have actual strings on the guitar because pushing buttons just don't cut it. That is nothing like playign guitar at all. The only thing the game has that is similar to the actual experience of playign guitar is ryhthm. I like the animated characters thay show playing as the player plays their pretty interesting to look at although the game could also use a bigger variety of characters. Those are a couple of ideas for game improvementMon, 12 Feb 2007 01:00:32 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1234&iddiary=2802Guitar Hero II (PS2) - Fri, 09 Feb 2007 18:33:18https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1234So I took another round at Guitar Hero hoping to enjoy the game a little more. Well, it does have a wide selection of some awesome music, and the visuals are alright. I have to give the game some points for that. I'm still not really into the game though. I guess its a good game for people that don't play guitar, but I would really suggest guitar over this game anyday.Fri, 09 Feb 2007 18:33:18 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1234&iddiary=2700Guitar Hero II (PS2) - Fri, 09 Feb 2007 12:02:54https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1234Alright, So I heard a great deal about this game before I started playing it. Everyone said that the game was genius. So, I decided to check out the game. The game is like ddr except with fingers. I guess you can say you feel like a rockstar while playing guitar hero, but i must say I felt that it was lacking. Maybe because I play guitar, but guitar hero sucks compared to actually playing the guitar. I don't feel like I'm actually playing the songs when I play guitar hero and I'm stuck looking at the screen the whole time so I can't even move around really and jam. I mean I guess if someone didn't play guitar this game would be fun. The game has a huge selection of songs, and you can make it go from easy to really hard.Fri, 09 Feb 2007 12:02:54 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1234&iddiary=2622mario 64 (N64) - Wed, 31 Jan 2007 10:44:36https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1034alright... so another round of super mario bros. The structure of the game definentely becomes more clear as one keeps playing. Like how you have to jump into pictures to get to levels. The levels are brilliant with crazy graffics. I love the sliding levels. Falling off cliffs is pretty intense as he falls into a neverending abiss. The enemies are pretty crazy, too. Way more intimidating than the 3D enemies. They are bigger and scarier. The levels are a bit tricky sometimes because it isn't clear cut how to beat every level. I would have to say this game is a pretty successful continuation of Mario Bros. in 3D.Wed, 31 Jan 2007 10:44:36 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1034&iddiary=2214mario 64 (N64) - Wed, 31 Jan 2007 10:00:16https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1034So, This is the first time ever playing super mario bros. I slightly remember this game from my youth, but never did I actually play it. What can I say? It's an interesting change from 2D Mario to 3D Mario. It definentely adds a whole other complication to the game. When first getting into the game, I was confused because there were no instructions on where to go, I was just wondering around the castle. It's kind of a learn as you go game. It got less confusing as I started playing it longer, but I must say the game is harder then it looks. After playing for like 45 min. I got a little frustrated and had to stop. It's an impressive game because of how much more difficult it is then 2D Mario bros, the graphics are also pretty amazing.Wed, 31 Jan 2007 10:00:16 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1034&iddiary=2213Soul Caliber III (PS2) - Tue, 23 Jan 2007 19:35:44https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=839Alright, so off to another round of soul calibar III. I must say the best part of this game are the characters. Some of the fighters are so crazy looking while others are more human looking. It definentely makes the game more interesting. Their comments are also great, giving the fighters even more character. This game is overall a pretty well-made fighting game, I like how it takes two people to play, because then its a fun activity for two friends, because I don't like the loner aspect to some video games that require only one player. This was the second time ever playing this game and they designed the game so that any beginner can play (doesn't matter if they really know what they are doing), and learn the tricks and skill as they progress. Good game overall I must sayTue, 23 Jan 2007 19:35:44 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=839&iddiary=1967Soul Caliber III (PS2) - Fri, 19 Jan 2007 17:27:00https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=839so this was my first time playing soul calibar. I would say it's pretty fun. I'm not really into fighting games, but this game is a pretty easy game to get the hang of and into. It's 3-D, and I like how there are many different levels and worlds it makes the game more interesting. There are also so many fighters to chose from and the fighters are so unique and some character and versatility to th game. There are so many different choices as well, like weapons. It makes the game more interesting.Fri, 19 Jan 2007 17:27:00 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=839&iddiary=1850Donkey Kong Country 2 (SNES) - Fri, 12 Jan 2007 03:04:02https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=568Alright. So, I'm not much of a gamer, I usually get bored after like ten minutes except for some games. I loved super nintendo when i was a kid, and mario bros was and still is genius. I decided to try out Donkey Kong Country because my friend told me it was one of her favorites. I played it for about an hour, and at first it was a little dull, like most beginning levels. It's a pretty simple game, structured really similarily to Mario Bros. Except with monkeys and a completely different world. I like how there are two monkeys as well. I definentely got involved in the game and ended up being late for class. Which i believe is probably proof that this game borderlines genius, but still doesn't beat Marios Bros for sure.Fri, 12 Jan 2007 03:04:02 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=568&iddiary=1321
