Director's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=321Goldeneye 007 (N64) - Sat, 24 Feb 2007 01:28:39https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1476Goldeneye 007 has great multiplayer deathmatch capabilities. I can battle with 3 other friends. The screen divides into four squares, and we all shoot eachother. There is a lot of competition and energy when we play. This multiplayer deathmatch capability is a great idea, because it creates a lot of excitement as you battle poeple with higher intelligence than the A.I. characters. I think the multiplayer is so fun becuse you can customize the settings to your personal preference. For instance there are different levels to fight in, and different genre of weapons. For example you could fight in the temple with rocket launchers, or fight in the complex with automatic weapons. This game was so well made that i wish they replicated it with newer technology for the High Definition Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. There are many different costumes to wear and head shots count. There is not that much blood, but atleast there is some. Cool weapons like the moonraker laser and proximity mines are very interesting to play with.Sat, 24 Feb 2007 01:28:39 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1476&iddiary=3113Goldeneye 007 (N64) - Fri, 23 Feb 2007 23:26:16https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1476The Nintendo 64 is a revolutionary system that introduced 360 degrees of gameplay with Mario 64. In my opinion Goldeneye is the best video game for Nintendo 64. I just hooked up my nintendo 64 and had a lot of fun playing Goldeneye 007. It is one of my all time favorite games. The single player is great along with the multiplayer deathmatch. The missions in golden eye are each unique and have their own littel story and plot. This really put the player in the game. Also there are really cool guns with great sound effects. The targeting feature is great for getting head shots, and the siilencer is a stealth weapon that enemies cannot hear. There are so many details that make this game fun. I have had this game for awhile, and still have not beat all the missions on the hardest difficulty. That means that this game can range from easy to extremely difficult. I like how this game presents challenges to the player by introducing new missions throughout the game. My favorite genre of games are first person shooters, and i like this game more than newer games that have better graphocs becasue this is a much better and well produced game. It has a certain quality that will keep it a classic forever.Fri, 23 Feb 2007 23:26:16 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1476&iddiary=3102Wii Sports (Wii) - Fri, 09 Feb 2007 15:32:29https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1259The golf game is by far the best, but the baseball bating practic, and the tennis games are almost just as fun. It is god to have this variety of games, because after 9 holes of gold, you kind of feel like playing something else. When i was playing the batting game, my friend who is on the college baseball team took it very serious. He thought we were analysing his skills the whole time, but it is just a game. It was so funny watching him swing the little Wii remote as hard as he could, I swear he almost hurt someone next to him. The wii sports can get out of hand. Every player in Wii Sports creates their own character and ther scores (hom runs) are loged in the harddrive, so they can try to improve their skill level, or just beat their score. It is all about timing with the home run strokes, in fact I have seen the ball go out the park only once. Tennis is also lots of fun, it very interactive, and when players are swinging their imaginary rackets around it is a funny sight as well. The tennis game is one of my favorites, because two people can play at the same time. This is a great change from the turn based playing of golf and batting practice.Fri, 09 Feb 2007 15:32:29 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1259&iddiary=2678Wii Sports (Wii) - Fri, 09 Feb 2007 15:25:56https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1259Nintendo Wii is a great new system, that doesn't compare with the xbox360 or PS3 in terms of graphix, but introduces a new form of interactive gameplay that is very fun. What makes this system so fun, is that the players have to move in coresponding to the actions on the game, this makes them look very stupid, which makes everyone lese playing crack up. The sports game came with the system, and i expected it to suck. Boy was i wrong. This game is so fun to play with friends. I was laughing out loud the whole time. This game features many different sports to play, but I found the golf game to be the best and the batting practice is pretty god too. Golf is the best Wii Sports game, because it had the most realistic feeling to it. In this game the harder you swing the club, the farther the ball goes, and trust me a hole in one, is so exciting, that you will yell out loud. This game is very good because it applies to audiences of all ages. I can play this game with my little sister, my fellow students, and my old parents.Fri, 09 Feb 2007 15:25:56 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1259&iddiary=2674Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES) - Wed, 31 Jan 2007 15:15:44https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=847I just killed a koopa troopa that was bouncing around in a shoe. The odd thing was that the shoe remained. I jumped into the shoe and it offered protection against enemies as well as a great weapon for destroying koopas. I also descovered a new suit to wear. It looks like a beaver suit and I have yet to understand its power. I know it turns Mario into stone. I also found a secret whistle that allows me to skip an entire world. I was having difficulty in the Giant world. This is a world were everything but myself is GIANT sized. This world was very difficult to defeat, so i used my whistle to skip the entire world. I think I am very close to beating the game.Wed, 31 Jan 2007 15:15:44 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=847&iddiary=2274Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - Wed, 31 Jan 2007 15:09:23https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1054This game offers new features that were not present in previous versions of Grand Theft Auto. The respect bar is still present, but now offers a new feature where I can mob through the levels with members of my gang. If I decide to "whistle" at fellow gang member, they will get in my car and shoot at enemies when I drive by them. Even if I shoot at an innocent character on the street, they will make sure to finish the job. Another great feature about this game is the skills upgrades. This game logs how much use each weapon and gives me new skills such as shooting two guns at the same time. my favorite thing to do in this game is to get on a motorcycle and shoot the police. My friends and I have competitions to see who can stand off the police the longest. This game is very detailed and I am always surprised by the random things people will say on the street. Wed, 31 Jan 2007 15:09:23 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1054&iddiary=2271Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - Wed, 31 Jan 2007 14:21:25https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1054The Grand Theft Auto series has always been a favorite of mine. The games have truly evolved since the pc platform version of GTA 1. The new 3d environment allows for way more destruction and way more killing, two features that I love in a game. The game has a plot and story line that I can participate in. There is a certain freedom in this game that is not present in any other game I have every played. I can decide not to do missions for anyone but just drive around killing people and have just as much fun. The freedom in this game is truly unique and sets the grounds for games in the future. Also this game is like a movie, it cuts to great cinematics that puts the character in a movie. One reason I like this game so much is that I can always turn it on and kill a few people and then just turn it off. Its always entertaining.Wed, 31 Jan 2007 14:21:25 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1054&iddiary=2256Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES) - Wed, 31 Jan 2007 14:07:03https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=847I am getting farther and farther in Super Mario Brothers 3. As I progress through the game I am entering new environments which call for new strategies to defeat enemies and stay alive. I am also gettig very good at the mini games. The mini games are a great idea becasue they keep the player entertained. One mini game is similar to playing a slot machine. It invloves perfect timing which is a different form of gameplay from the usual levels. If I can time the puzzle correctly I am awarded new lives. Another great mini game is the matching card game. When two cards are matched I am awarded the power up on the card. This card game is so fun becasue it is seperate from usual gameplay. Whether it is a new life or a flower power, I can store these power ups and use them later. That is another great feature of this game. When I die, I respawn as a little mario with no powers. But I can use the powers I have saved up before I enter a challenging level. Little details are what make this game so fun.Wed, 31 Jan 2007 14:07:03 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=847&iddiary=2248Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES) - Fri, 19 Jan 2007 20:07:58https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=847This game continuously keeps me entertained. There are new items and characters the more I progress through the game. The reward structure is entering new worlds. I like the extra features of the game. For example at the end of each level you try to collect matching shapes to earn extra lives, power ups and other items. So there is a good reward system to the game. It keeps you involved and switches things up. This game is very different form Super Mario Bros. 2 I don;t know if there were different creaters or production, but the gameplay is very different. Both were entertaining but this game has a much better feel to it.Fri, 19 Jan 2007 20:07:58 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=847&iddiary=1912Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES) - Fri, 19 Jan 2007 18:33:33https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=847The character in this game is a single hero name Mario. The story seems to be that I am to save the princess from bowser. The gameplay is really fun, i run through levels killing enemies and getting these really cool powerups. If i pick up one power up, it changes the special ability. My favorite so far is the "falling leaf." This power up gives me the ability to float and temporaroly fly thorugh levels. Another good power up is the "flower" this allows me to spit balls of flame at enemies. These power ups keep the game interesting. There is nothing like picking up a mushroom, it can save the game. The levels are really cool. I already made it to the second area which has a different theme. A desert theme. I can't wait to see what the next mario world will be!Fri, 19 Jan 2007 18:33:33 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=847&iddiary=1875
