chiger92's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=356Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) - Mon, 26 Feb 2007 18:18:51https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1348Also another important part about Zelda is the Ocarina. The Ocarina gives Link the ability to call his horse, or call upon the power of the sun, and several other important pieces in the game. Also the fact that everything is so involoved in the game. For example, one could be riding through Hyrule and come across a person in need of help. As Link and a hero one would help the person and be hansomly rewarded. The choice is yours to make. But usually in this game one would have to make the proper choice becaue the game does have a story line and more advanced levels require you to use items you have recieved from before. When Link recieves an event item or so he may not know what it is or where its from. So at the same time Link and the player are both confused in the world. But as the player progresses they will later realize that Link must use it to save maybe Princess Zelda or destroy Gannon himself. Legend Of Zelda is an amazing game and Nintendo should continue to create more and more games along the same line. Zelda is a Classic game for all systems.Mon, 26 Feb 2007 18:18:51 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1348&iddiary=3162Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) - Mon, 26 Feb 2007 18:14:04https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1348Legend of Zelda has always been a great game. From the very begginning Nintendo sought out to find a game that could reach out to all ages. Coming up with a young boy adventurous game has created fantasy for many people young and old. As my first time ever playing Legend Of Zelda I came across many things which I liked and not to many things in which I despised. Not only was the game itself long and interesting it also allowd the player to use many items and other equipment to make some challenging parts through out the game. Having a horse also increased my liking for the game itself. Having the freedom roaming the land for fortresses and other monsters put me into a fantasy world. Nintendo really out did themselves this time because moving from a plumber to a kid hero with majic and monsters and swords had created this new era in gaming. Later coming out with Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask and other games as systems progressed made Zelda a major classic. MGS 2 lets you sneak around, crawl almost any where you can think, and occasionally blast your way past many enemies. Just as in MGS 1, one can: -flatten up against a wall. -crawl underneath a table. -lurk about in the shadows to avoid detection. Also the Weapons are exactly the same. Maybe the skins have changed slightly the weapons and how to use them haven't changed a bit. For example, the Nikita Rocket launcher, has the capability to be fired anywhere and then the missle itself can be directed through a camera that snake has to where you need that missle to blow up on. It has a self detonator that the player can push if the missle has steered off in the wrong direction. MGS is an amazing game and I suggest it to any one who likes espionage and terrorist acts. It's great for beginners and experts. Konami really strives to make this game hard and easy while being fun all at the same time. Although you as the character is very able to just go around and kill things, you don't get rewarded as hefty as you would if you were sneaky. MGS, to me is more like a puzzle sneak game. Having the times where enemies are surrounding you and other times where enemies have you in a hand grip makes it challenging. Now if you haven't played the first MGS then the 2nd one obviously won't make any sense at all. The games tie together very well because they bring back many of the characters just some in different forms and others the same. MGS is a game played where the camera is usually set to a spot and stays there to allow the player to see all of their surroudings. This helps because the player will also know where an enemy is versus trusting the sonar. Although the sonar is a very helpful item. Once detected the sonar is knocked out and the player is left to fend for himself. As the Fairy King promised, you do have to reconstruct villages. the character's houses can be rotated and replaced to meet their request. When you find laundry in the dungeons, you can grab it and place it within the character's apartment. After you've fulfilled all of the character's requests, an event takes place - for example, the character will reward you with an item of value. By meeting the needs of the different villagers, important items are gained and useful areas like village stores are opened. This idea is fairly new and interesting, although it isn't really like you're building this big RPG world. It's really just a cool way to facilitate story and game movement. Its very fun to just play around with how "you" want the villages to look. Graphically; Dark Cloud is colorful. It simply looks like a first generation game. One of the problems with randomized levels is the same look throughout each one. The largely instrumental music is very generic. Thankfully, it isn't lousy, but it doesn't add to the game. Plus, the tracks get reused often. There are also generic sound effects and no voices. Although the music may suck there are easy ways to take care of that.... Just turn of the sound. There's is absolutely no talking in the game so your not missing much if an event is going down. Thu, 01 Feb 2007 23:14:06 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1124&iddiary=2421Dark Cloud (PS2) - Thu, 01 Feb 2007 23:13:56https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1124Dark Cloud follows a different style of gaming. Without levels such as seen in Zelda, the random levels lean towards the idea of stamina. The treasures and Atla spheres are randomly laid out, but there's a map and a magic crystal to point out the item locations. In order to proceed to the next level floor, you must kill the one randomly chosen enemy carrying the key. When you finish one level, you have the option of continuing or exiting out of the dungeon. Exiting allows you to work on rebuilding your town, stock up on supplies, and save your game. When you return to the dungeon, you can pick up right on the floor where you left off. You can even replay any of levels you have already visited in case you want to increase your stats for weapons. With the emphasis on dungeon progression, weapon development is an fun part of the game. The weapon development system is easy, yet deep enough to be interesting. If the right aspects are improved within a weapon, the weapon can be built into a new form. Weapons can be damaged and broken. The Weapon Hit Points meter keeps your weapons usage in check, requiring you to use repair items before your weapon is damaged completely to the point to where its gone forever. If you don't plan ahead, just think about how much fun it will be to fight a large wear wolf with a dinky broken slingshot, hitting only 1 point of damage. Out of nowhere, several battles found throughout the game are DDR style and rhythm exercises. I don't understand why they are in here when the lock-on battle system works well enough. Guess it's to add some flavor, even though the flavor is a little old. Although very random but it has its kicks to it. Its just a small work out for your fingers... Not even a workout persay. Dark Cloud is a fun game with endless hours of fun. Thu, 01 Feb 2007 23:13:56 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1124&iddiary=2420Goldeneye 007 (N64) - Thu, 01 Feb 2007 23:11:26https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1121On another note James Bond 007 has a 3-d visual. While you can see the enemys some what paper like, they move like a 3-d game. One can strafe left or right while shooting their weapon. Having this in the heat of battle is the best defense as well as best offense. Having both, one can be unbeatable. If you think you beat the game and thats it. Theres more to it than you know. Having the 007 mode you can get cheats and other major cool parts to the game. For example, having the silver gun allows you to shoot through doors hoping to hit an enemy and will kill that enemy in one gun fire. Having the golden gun will kill any enemy anywhere. You could hit them in the leg, arm, head, or chest. No matter the gun shot wound a person can will fall to his death in an instance. This game has 25 levels with multiple objectives to complete for each level in 3 modes: Agent, Secret Agent, and 00 Agent. Obviously, the higher mode you do, the more complicated, difficult, and stragetic the game gets. Plus, there is more objectives to do. Some pros of the game are: Great graphics (for N64) 25 enormous levels with 3 challenging modes Many characters in multi-player Huge arsenal of weapons Addictive gameplay Many unsolved cheats Lows: Multi-player levels aren't all fun. Overall, I would give this game a 3.5! Thu, 01 Feb 2007 23:11:14 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1121&iddiary=2418Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - Mon, 22 Jan 2007 21:47:57https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=878As the character CJ, I find it fun to go around San Andreas and kill as many things as I possibly can. The game itself is interesting because I get to customize CJ with how he looks and what he wears. I also like the amount of weapons the game loads you with. Being equipped with three sets of weapons one can choose with how they would like to destroy their current target. I enjoy using the Desert Eagle because it has a one hit kill. I have spent a lot of time trying to bring my skill with the Deagle up to Hitman status. It takes awhile but it's worth it in the end because it proves to be a powerful arsenal. Although the game is very blocky, but it makes up with where you can go with the character. Having such a large world to walk around with and with an abundance of vehicles one can just enjoy the game driving around. Its also a great game because you can do many things even though you beat the game. There are many easter eggs like the Spray tags, the oysters, the horse shoes, and the Snap shots. There is also the car lot where you can find cars and turn them in for money. Although I love playing the game on my free time, I have a tendency to play so long that the PS2 gets hot and then the game freezes. Thats a personal problem. So not to anyone out there. If you are playing a game for several hours make sure to cool it off or else you will regret it and all your unsaved data will go away and you will become very frustrated. I hope that the company Rockstar creates more GTA 3 games because they always catch the eye of me and I hope in the near future to have more games based on GTA 3.Mon, 22 Jan 2007 21:47:57 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=878&iddiary=1948Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - Mon, 22 Jan 2007 21:47:16https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=878 (This entry has been edited1 time.
