Adondo's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=612skate. (360) - Thu, 06 Mar 2008 02:40:35https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3120Entry #2 GAMEPLAY: My second hour of game play was pretty intense and made it more fun that i knew what i was doing and i was able to do all of the tricks to somewhat on command and it made it a lot easier on me to do the challenges required for the game. I felt as if i was in the game and i knew what i was doing, but it made it a lot easier to do what i needed to do. I felt i knew my way around the city a lot easier and i was able to do my tasks. The only thing that really got to me was when i got online to play other players was when i really got the real challenge. Just because the A.I. on the game can only do so much for you and can only provide such a challenge, but while online against all of the other skaters who has had this game longer than i have play more than me and are better than me boosted up my morale to keep on playing because i felt the need to learn the tricks more and do them on command like a lot of the other players were doing. DESIGN: The design of the game was pretty much extrodinary. In means to the whole game world being wide open because it created that feel that this is a skaters paradise. That element alone makes this game great. Also the design to make all of the tricks off of the analog stick is brialliant. This creates challenge and conflict because it covers everything a skater needs to do. The game creates conflicts in many ways, virtual and real life. Meaning in the game itself some of the challenges are to skate in NO-SKATE Zones and in these no skate zones are security officers and if you get caught by these officers than they end your challenge or mission that you are doing and jack 50$ from you. In real life it can create verbal, and physical conflict because the people playing the game can get mad and irratated espically if they have not played the game before. Some things that I would change about the game is the ableness of not being able to run. I would really like EA to make that mechanism in the second SKATE if they make one, i think being able to get off of your board and running would be a lot more helpful to the user on getting around more quickly. The games reward structure was cool because i strived to hurry up and complete the challenges so i could unlock new characters and so i could get my sponsers for my clothes, deck, etc. and so i could get the cover of a magazine. I think by havig that magazine could emplify the eagerness for the user to keep on completing missions. A lot of kids want to be on covers so they complete the missions and try to get the cover and make it their own.Thu, 06 Mar 2008 02:40:35 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3120&iddiary=5942skate. (360) - Thu, 06 Mar 2008 01:25:05https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3120SUMMARY: In the game skate the main primary goal of the game is to complete all the challenges and become a pro skater and get sponsered. At the end of the game you should be on the cover of the magazine of Thrasher and the Skate Mag and after that you will have beaten the game. GAMEPLAY: My first hour of playing this game was very frustrating. I could not get used to the controls because they were radically different. I am used to the Tony Hawk controls and by that i mean, when i push a button i do a trick. This is completely different from SKATE. The analog stick controls all of your flip tricks as well as your manueling and your pop shove it tricks. Transitioning over to this whole new concept took sime time and a lot of work and a lot of patience. Also i got angry a lot during the career mode because all of the pedestrians and traffic they would mess up your line that you are trying to do or they would get in the way causing you to fail, and to me this is very frustrating and annoying. I wish their was a mode to where you could get off your board and beat them up. The characters of the game are really realistic and hit the point on the pros as if they were the actual A.I. I think they gave me a challenge on all of the challenges i had to do against them and it made me work hard and they taught me new tricks in the tutorials. But other than that they couldnt do to much because all they really did was skate. My thoughts on the gameplay were awesome this game exceeds realism and what you can do in it. The physics engine is so percise that everything that these skaters are able to do in the game you should be able to do in real life. The way you move and the way the wheels sound as your just riding the street gives the user a sense of feeling that they are actually skating. Also the game is very interesting to play and it keeps me playing now. I play online and try to improve my skills amongst the world of skaters and give myself a name among others. But the story line of this game is really well done and it is very fluent in the sense of what I am supposed to do and how to do it.Thu, 06 Mar 2008 01:25:05 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3120&iddiary=5824Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas (PS2) - Thu, 21 Feb 2008 02:11:22https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2852Entry #2 SUMMARY: My personal subjective gameplay on my second hour of the game was more or less like the beginning of the first hour. Nothinig much has really changed about the game and the game is very, very repetetive. The only thing that you can really do that is out of the norm is go ahead and get the cheats off line and make stuff go your way. Like for example you can get infinite health, and all the weapons, and on top of that you can have infinite ammo. So really you can go ahead and just do what you want and just kill eveyone with out dying. That is the most exstatic part about the game, at least i think so. The design of the game was pretty much a free world type of thing. You can go around all of Oakland and do random stuff to anybody. You are able to hi-jak cars and i still think thats a pretty good idea to be able to do a lot things in a free world. Also i like how the design was made for the user to interact with everyone but in the same way they are able to interact with you. I also like the way the cops show up everytime something happens and i love how the helicpter comes and makes a huge ol' scene. DESIGN: A lot of this particular game is based on free movement and about doing a lot of things regardless if your not doing the missions. And i think that innovation of the game is a big factor of why so many people buy this game and enjoy it. The freedom of the gameworld i think creates a fantasization of the user to use these weapons and to be in a imaginary gang and to rob people. These are all not real common things a lot of people in this world do, so i think this game allows users to do these things that they would like to try but are to scared of doing. Except the killing part of course =] This game creates conflict in many ways by doing the missions wrong and if you kill people that are not supposed to be killed. By that i mean the game has a security system and when you do this type of thing the cops, swat and helocopters come and make a huge scene. The games reward structure was alright i mean it wasnt anything out of the sort and it was cool. I mean you moved up the gang ladder to the top and all of that good stuff. Overall the game was good but i dont think that i would go out and buy this game anymore. Just because all of the grand theft autos have the same objective and nothing out of the ordinary happens in these games. (This entry has been edited2 times. But on the other hand you are able to roam around San Andreas and just still cars and cruise around for fun. But the objective of the game is to complete all of the missions and be in a gang. GAMEPLAY: My gameplay on the first hour was pretty good. I usually never do any of the missions because i thought they were pointless but this time i decided to do them. They are pretty complicated and some are pretty risky. Like getting into the gang was fun and pretty intense. My thoughts on the characters in the game were pretty much the same like in all of the other Grand theft autos but i liked it overall but the characters were no much different than the other ones. My emotional state on the game was more or less like whatever, just because i know what to expect fromo Grand Theft Auto. A lot of their games are the same i think. What made it really interesting for me was running from the cops because thats the best part about grand theft auto.Thu, 21 Feb 2008 01:35:34 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2852&iddiary=5329Madden 08 (PS2) - Sat, 09 Feb 2008 02:31:53https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2549#2 GAMEPLAY: In the second hour of gameplay it got even more intense because I started to do a season. The A.I. didn’t get any easier because i set the A.I to All Madden, which is the hardest it can go. Here on this mode the computer is really hard and their gamestyle and intelligence is exceeding what they are capable of. It is really fun because of the hit stick which can hit the other person really hard which can cause a fumble or injure a player depending how weak they are. I also love the gameplay between other people because other people who play just as much as I do are able to read plays and make audibles. This is phenomenal in a sense because it is hard to read defences and offences in a video game let alone real life. But the competition makes it fun and more interesting because it keeps you in the game and on your toes. You have to make quick decisions and the right ones, because there are game winning situations and times where you have to produce in order to win the game. Personally i thought the game was challenging and not mindless like Blitz. But it made me feel as if i was each player in the game and i was able to make decisions and be the hero of the team for a come back win in the 4th quarter. But this is a great game and it keeps me on my toes and is able to keep on buying the game and wondering what is going to happen next year. DESIGN: My thoughts on the the game design elements of the game are good. The players move realistically and the crowd if realistic and how they interact with everything and everyone on the field. What makes this so good is when you click R2 to go for a "strip tackle" the player actually goes to strip the football while making the tackle which is really hard. I have never seen that in any other football game. They had it as an option but it was never a visual thing, it kind of just happened. This game creates a lot of conflict because there are certain plays to which might not go right and can make a user angry and upset. Also while you are playing other players the competition can arise and tension can build up in between you guys! It makes players go nuts that are why they have big tournaments for it because it raises so much hype and it causes so many conflicts between everyone. Also it can have fans pick their favorite team and face off with their bitter rivalries. The games reward system wasn’t so much of a reward. All you really did was play all the way through the playoffs and try and win the super bowl and go to the rose bowl and recruit new players each year. But it is always cool though to win the super bowl because it lets you know that you are the best team. Especially when you beat it on All Madden. The gameworld of the game isn’t too much of any difference from other games. Just because their is gravity, a field and your in a stadium. Other than that you are not of the able to go anywhere else in the game. The tone is fine because when you play in the game the crowds go off of how the home team is doing and how bad the guest team is doing. Which makes me wonder how are they able to program who is the home team and who is the away team. But whatever they did it is great and it helps amplify the user. But overall the game is great and should be played by many people; even if you aren’t a sports fan you should definitely go out and try it. It is worth your wild and the graphics and gameplay will blow you away. GAMEPLAY: The gameplay in Madden 08 is unreal. This game surpases realistic views and it takes in the user. My gameplay was awesome and it was really exciting to play. I've played all of the previous maddens and always wondered what could EA come up with next! But the characters were easy to use and the game configuration is always awesome! The A.I. is good and is always putting up a challenge when i play. I love the game style and how everything moves and how people hit and how the players interact. My experience carried over and it was great and since i already knew how to play it than it was just fun and active. My emotion was great and it is always up and it exillerant! Accept when the A.I. cheats than thats when it starts getting annoying. But who knows if they cheat i just say they do because I need an excuse for whne I mess up. But the firt 45 mins were awesome and cant wait to play some more! Sat, 09 Feb 2008 01:37:18 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2549&iddiary=4804Soul Calibur III (PS2) - Sat, 26 Jan 2008 02:38:19https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2228GAMEPLAY: The gameplay my second hour or i should say my third hour was a lot more fun and much more better. Not only because i find the game enjoyable but because i learned the controls and dominated the game. DESIGN: Sat, 26 Jan 2008 02:38:19 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2228&iddiary=4347Soul Calibur III (PS2) - Sat, 26 Jan 2008 00:38:22https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2228SUMMARY: The bases of the Game Soul Calibur three is to fight the other opponent and beat him or her in a match. GAMEPLAY: The gameplay for this game was pretty cool. Not any different from a lot of other fighting games except for the fact that it is harder to block. The characters in the game were easy to use and each and every sing of them had good and affective combos. Very easy to use and the makes the user be able to feel like they are doing a lot when each combo is fairly simple. But the gameplay is fun and is really easy. Each character is easy to use from what I have noticed and each one has a series of moves that are easy which makes me the gamer/user more interested in the game. My emotional state while playing this was pretty frustrating. Just because I am a Tekken guy and I haven't really ventured off to a lot of other fighting games besides Mortal Kombat. But as I started to play it more and learn all of the moves, the more I liked it and enjoyed it. My thoughts on the stories for each player could of been better. I mean they all had the same kind of story and they were all looking for the soul blade. But other than that, the stories were relevant to the game and its whole purpose and its rewards. As for the game being interesting, I can say it was interesting because they have a mode called the Chronicals and it is a journey through 30 chronicals and you go and fight other people level up and all that good stuff. I haven't finished it yet but im still doing it and that is keeping me in the game. My interactions with other people during the game are good. It is like any other fighting game. the competition between an actual human other than an a.i. is always better because you can trash talk and do whatever comes to mind unlike the a.i.Sat, 26 Jan 2008 00:38:22 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2228&iddiary=4230FIFA 08 (Wii) - Tue, 15 Jan 2008 02:28:11https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1754#2 DESIGN: The game was very well designed for the user. The game consisted of 30 clubs and over 120 stadiums. Also the game allows the user to choose from two different languages, English and Spanish. This allows the user to get the international feel for the game just like soccer already is. Also I like how the computer is able to adapt to gameplay and gamestyle of the user. This makes the game more difficult and it only increases the more you play. So the A.I. is increasingly forcing you too change your gamestyle and your stratagies to score on them. I also like the authencity of how the programers designed it and I like the way how they make it really hard to score on the defending team. But the way the designers made the characters show emotion is just awesome and it really makes me feel like im "in the game." GAMEPLAY: My second hour and hours to come witht the game is pretty much me owning the computer. The gameplay got harder because as you progressed further into the game the A.I. initially got harder. But also I got better, so I found the game to be fun and it is also keeping my interest. But what keeps me playing the game is playing it multiplayer which keeps the game fun and even more entertaing. Having a human player makes the game that much better because you know the computer can only do so much and you pretty much know what is going to happen, but with a human you do not and the style and the gameplay changes completely. Gameplay with a human is consistently on your toes because they know what you are capable of and you know what they are capable of. But overall the game is pretty awesome and i recommend people get the game because they will feel as if they are in the game! Tue, 15 Jan 2008 02:28:11 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1754&iddiary=3743FIFA 08 (Wii) - Mon, 14 Jan 2008 01:17:08https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1754SUMMARY: In FIFA 08 the bases of the game is to beat the other team in a soccer match. The goal at the game is to be victorious and win the English Cup, your league cup, also other sorts of championships for the club to win. You can make trades, and training schedules in order for your team to win and prevail over other teams. GAMEPLAY: My opinion on this game is that it's very cool. I know that is childish to say but it really is. This game is letting the gamer and the characters on the game interact in many ways. This game makes me feel like I am actually a manager and lets me control eveything as if it were the real thing. In the beginning of FIFA 08 it was very hard and frustrating. I got irratated very easily because the controls were sensitive and the computers A.I. would not let up that easy for me to break the lines. On top of that it was very hard to score. It took me a day after i bought the game to actually score! But my emotions were raging because I felt as if it were cheating and I would constantly yell at my PSP and tell it to "COME ON" or "YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!" But after I played for hours and hours I finally got the game style down and was ready to take on the game. When I finally won it was awesome. My thoughts on the characters of the game were realistic. The characters interact with each other really well. For instance whenever i would score a goal the rest of the team would run up and grab him and cheer and do celebration dances. I found that to be realistic and awesome, because when I watch soccer games in real life they do the exact same things. Also what I thought was pretty cool on the characters was when I was in the Juggling mode of the game; which is where any character of the game is able to do soccer tricks. Well The charcter keeps its eyes on the ball the whole time and is watching it go up and down. Also when he kicks the ball you can see where the foot hits the ball and it really matters to where you hit it at. Also the higer profile players are better than the lower profile players. also when you are in manager mode the higher profile players cost a whole bunch of money unlike the lower profile players, just like in real life. But this game is good. I like it and I recommend this game for sports gamers who play soccer. Also on this game you can play online. Sinice the psp is wireless and if there is a Wi Fi around than you can get online and play fellow teams with your club a.k.a soccer team. But this game is awesome and im going to keep playing it until something better comes along.Mon, 14 Jan 2008 01:17:08 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1754&iddiary=3484
