jvjesse's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=634Smack Down vs. Raw 2007 (360) - Wed, 05 Mar 2008 02:25:33https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3002Gamelog Entry #2 -Gameplay During the second time of game play I was really hooked on to the game. Maybe its due to the fact that it’s a wresting game and that sense of fighting and disruption has a connection with the male mind. But whether it be any reason I really began to enjoy the game during the second time that I began to play it. I was know familiar with more control functions and was able to play the game more broadly. Now I learned how to jump off the turn buckle and learned how to break down the roof of the cell in a cell in a hell match. I learned these and many other things and its this type of new knowledge that I acquired as I played the game that rose the game play level to a higher stage. There wouldn’t be much that I would change about the game except that there are certain aspects of the game that seem sometimes irritating. For instance every wrestler has their own little entrance that appears at the beginning of every match. The first few times you do enjoy these little scene entrances but after a while it begins to become a drag. In a way I just wanted to get straight to the game play and begin the fight. But that’s what made the game play more exhilarating. Wanting to get straight to the fight was what made it additionally exciting. -Design The design of the game is very stable and emit’s to high quality graphics. The design features of every wrestler exact to its point and they represent every detail of the actual wrestler. When the wrestlers come in contact and engage in wrestling the actual fight sequence emphasized great quality design. When it comes to weapons being used such as a chair or hammer the graphic scene is very demanding in the sense that if u keep using the weapon it will actually trigger a bonus or special graphic scene that involves the injured wrestler bleeding for example from the forehead. The graphic design of the game is something that keeps the player interested and engaged in the game. Once I looked a how the design was and how the design was involved in the fight sequence I look at it in amazement. The game does contain certain qualities that make the game play rise to a high level and one of these elements is the design of the game. In my perspective I could not ask for a better design and the design itself satisfies the above the ordinary type of game design. This game for me was great and I will keep on playing it whenever I get the time to play it.Wed, 05 Mar 2008 02:25:33 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3002&iddiary=5641Smack Down vs. Raw 2007 (360) - Wed, 05 Mar 2008 02:24:30https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3002Gamelog Entry #1 -Summary In the Smack Down vs. Raw 2007 video game you are at free will to control any wrestler at your disposal that is displayed within the game. With your selected wrestler at hand you can engage in combat with any other wrestler that you wish to fight with. In addition you can also select any match that consist of for example a steel cage match, hell in a cell, ladder match, any title match, etc. Once you have selected your wrestler and your match you can then go ahead and fight any opponent in the roster. If you win the match you therefore gain points that allows you to unlock star wrestlers or famous matches. -Gameplay The first time that I played this wresting game I was confused due to the multiple control functions that the player needs to perform in order for the wrestler to engage in combat. It was difficult at first but as I continued to play the game I became more alert and attached to it. The controls became somewhat familiar but I still needed to put more work into it. I was frustrated at first due to the complex function of the controls but know that I got the hang of it the anger was gone and now that I had an understanding of the controls the gaming experience was more appreciated and I wanted to play more. The wrestlers in the game are actually quite impressive in their feature and in their characteristics. Of course it is the same imitation as it is on actual television but the actual characters in the game are designed pretty well as in face feature along with bodily feature. Their expressions in combat are somewhat realistic in the sense that they represent the same features as on TV. But its this type of feature that makes the game more appreciative that equals the sense of a great game play.Wed, 05 Mar 2008 02:24:30 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3002&iddiary=5640Elebits (Wii) - Wed, 20 Feb 2008 20:22:44https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2739Game Entry #2 Game Play -During the second time that I played this game I continued to enjoy the game. Although it began to become somewhat irritating. There were times where the player is supposed to open doors or cabinets with the ray gun and your supposed to twist and turn. For some reason this became a problem for me due to the fact that it took me a while to open a door. There isn’t much in this game but just to collect these little animals and put light into places. That’s pretty much it. I didn’t like this game that much and I wouldn’t put this game as one o my favorites. I did like it in the beginning but then it got somewhat off balance. There isn’t actually this adventure to go on but just something ordinary to do the whole game. Which is to collect theses small animals and find them where ever you can. This game is okay but not that big of a deal to me. Design - The design of the Elebtis game was actually very good. The furniture and house area were well designed to express themselves in a unique way. The level designs are quite orientated. They tale you from room to the downstairs room and there you have more to explore. This game lets you explore around to accomplish your objective but at the same time it makes you explore the design. In addition the game creates conflict due to the fact that the conflict involves that you have to dig into the design of the game in order to capture these small animals. The design of the game is satisfying but the game play is fun but not that big of a deal.Wed, 20 Feb 2008 20:22:44 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2739&iddiary=5142Elebits (Wii) - Wed, 20 Feb 2008 20:22:13https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2739Game Entry #1 Summary -In the game Elebit’s the player controls a character in which the objective of the game is to collect these tiny little creatures called Elebits. You collect them by somewhat of a weapon like a ray gun that lets you shot this beam of light that allows you to collect these tiny elebits. These elebits are small energy animals that let you power up appliances or rooms in a house. By collecting these animals you can therefore power up any electrical appliance in the amount of time that is provided. Game play -The Game play of this game is interactive and lets the player engage in the game. I was confused at first when the game took me in the tutorial. There were some complications that I encountered in the way to control the game. Although it was rough at first I enjoyed capturing those little animals that poked out of nowhere once you began to move anything including the furniture around. It was fun for me to shot that beam of light to the little animals but honestly this game wasn’t that big of a deal to me. I had a good time but just at a normal level. I was some what delighted to in the beginning because the game takes you on a tutorial. For me it makes it more better to understand the game and it lets me appreciate the game more. With this appreciation I can enjoy the game now knowing how to control the game and know how it functions.Wed, 20 Feb 2008 20:22:13 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2739&iddiary=5141NBA Live 08 (Wii) - Sat, 09 Feb 2008 17:14:03https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2588Entry #2 Summary During the second time of play I enjoyed the game more now since I was more capable of having more control over how to perform the control functions in the game. With the combination of the nun chuck and the Wii remote you are at hand to play as if you were playing yourself. My favorite part of the whole game is how you shoot the ball. You shoot it the same way that you would shoot a real ball. However, the one thing that frustrated me was the free throw shots. The game does tell you how to perform the certain function, but it was a big hassle for me to t get the hang of it. I entirely missed all my shots the first few time that I played this game. After playing for a while you get the hang of how everything works. And the sense that you know how everything works increases the level of fun that you receive out of the game. I love this game and It gives me a high level of pleasure and fun. Design The design of the game was for me, okay. I have seen this game in other systems such as the x-box 360 and it punches some great graphics in their. It would seem that the design in a system like the x-box 360 is much greater, but the design on the Wii is enough to leave the player in amazement. In a way the feature of each player is designed pretty well. They look more better then other NBA Live games that I have played through the previous years. The overall design of the game is enough to give the player the pleasure of fun that he or she needs. In my perspective I don’t have any other issue with the design of the game. It may not be top notch as in the x-box 360 system but that doesn’t bother me at all. I would rather have the radical techniques such as how you shoot the ball with the Wii remote rather than just punching in buttons to shoot the ball as you would do in any other system such as the x-box 360. The design was great and I really enjoyed playing the game.Sat, 09 Feb 2008 17:14:03 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2588&iddiary=4920NBA Live 08 (Wii) - Sat, 09 Feb 2008 17:13:10https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2588Entry #1 Summary In NBA Live 2008 the player has the option to pick out any of the thirty NBA teams and play against any other team. With the greatest players you can play in any mode that features an ordinary play to even the All-Star game that depicts the best players. This game is just the simple fundamental basketball where you attempt to score points either through jump shots, three points shots, dunks, and many others. Through this you attempt to beat the other team to come about a winner. Game play The first time that I played this game I got confused due to specific control movements that the player has to perform to play in the game. But, I am a person who likes to play basketball, so of course it was a given factor that there would be a big percentage that I would be enjoying this game anyway. It was just a matter of time that I would get the hang of the control but I really enjoyed playing this game. It has many features that allow you to make it your choice to do whatever you want. You’re the one who controls the team that allows you to control the player in the game. I played for about a really long time because I really enjoyed the experience of the game. The very elements that you use when you play basketball in reality are attributed to the game. For instance, the way you shoot the ball when you play out in the park on a court is the same way that you would shoot it in a game. You treat the Wii control as if it were the real ball and you would use the same technique to shoot the ball. This game lets you really interactive with it so you could feel as if you were really playing.Sat, 09 Feb 2008 17:13:10 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2588&iddiary=4919Wii Play (Wii) - Fri, 25 Jan 2008 01:24:39https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2055GAME ENTRY #2 GamePlay During the second time of play I continued to enjoy the games. Yet there were some moments where some games brought frustration due to the way they were controlled. For example, the table tennis game provided a level of fun but it seemed that it was somewhat of a hassle to control the paddle. The paddle of which of course was resembled by the wii remote had its own little flaws. It was a bit hard to hold the paddle in order to hit the ball. Soon enough I continued to other games and left this one behind. Most of the games were satisfying and they sustained their own unique details that made them fun. After the first time of play I really enjoyed playing all the games. Now that I continue to play the games I cant seem to stop playing. They are not entirely addictive but its just that they provide a great deal of fun. Its not just like other games where they provide a complicated task and game play. This wii play is just simple fun. Its the fun that gets the kick out of you. DESIGN The design of the Wii Play is very much similar to the 'Wii Sports' game. The same type of architecture is used. The basic gereal format of landscapes and people. Meaining that this game does not hold a high quality design as would the design of an X-Box game. The people as I said before represent somewhat of a stick figure person. Just the basic face, body, and arms. Nothing of such sort of detailed description just rather the basic form. I know that many other people would say that the design of this game is poor. But for me the design of this game is 'OK'. It represents itself in its unique way and contructs a level of fun. In a way I would of liked this game to have the big designs as other systems do. But this system provides a quality of fun that is enjoyable for everyone. Despite how the design is, it sustains a high level of satisfaction and fun.Fri, 25 Jan 2008 01:24:39 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2055&iddiary=3983Wii Play (Wii) - Fri, 25 Jan 2008 00:40:55https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2055GAME ENTRY #1 Summary -In the 'Wii Play' there are a series of nine games that you can fully engage in. These are games such as Pool, shooting range, table tennis, tanks, and many others. Each single game holds its own set of controls that allows you to play the game as it is. In pool for instance the stick becomes the wii remote. In shooting range your wii remote turns into the gun. These and many other factors make the game interesting and easy to dig into. GamePlay -I was excited to know that the wii play holds multiple games and not just one sophisticated game. Having received a great deal of fun from the 'wii sports' I imagined that the wii play would hold a greater level of fun. Once I played all the games and had a taste of what they were the one game that struck out to me was 'Tanks'. Having to use stradegy this game was fun but although frustrating as well goign highher in the levels. This game focuses on trying to destroy your enemies before they destroy you. This maybe the very reason why it was so out going for me. This sort of competition lifts up the excitement in someone and it did to me. Having this type of excitement at hand I also enjoyed the game, 'Find Mii'. This game is meant to trick your mind and leave you confused. This game challenges the mind while at the same time produces a high level of fun. A group of people are set on the screen and you have to find the very two people that look the same. You have to do this in the amount of time that they give you. And its the fact that they give you a certain amount of time that gives that jump and kick. I was enitrely satisfied with this game and had a great time as well.Fri, 25 Jan 2008 00:40:55 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=2055&iddiary=3975Wii Sports (Wii) - Sun, 20 Jan 2008 03:04:24https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1871Hey Chuck. I had already turned in the second entry log. But im guessing that it didnt get to you so here it is again . . . 2nd Entry Log -Gameplay During the second round of game play the game continued to provide the level of fun. Yet now that I am familiar with all the control functions the level of fun was upgraded. Meaning that I always able to appreciate it more but on a higher level. What makes it fun is that you have to move your very own body in order to contribute to the game. Its nothing like if the person or animal in the game dies you will die. Its just the simple technique of letting the player have complete control over the person on the screen. This is what makes it fun. The swinging of the arm, the movement of the body and many other details establish the level of fun. Its not like any other system that provides this sort of attribution. The rules of the game are simple. You move and the person on the screen moves. You stand still and the person on the screen stands still. There are also the basic rules of the game. You serve the ball and you have to hit it inside the lines or else you lose the serve. You are the player and hence the saying . . . "You dont play the game. You live it" -Design The design of the wii sports game is not that of a high quality estate. I know that many people are satisfied and impressed if a game holds top notch graphics and designs. Yet the wii sports game does not present that high level of design instead you have the basic design. I would represent the person on the screen as just the body and the simple face. More like a stick figure person. Ofcourse you have the layout of the field and the design of which is pretty much 'OK'. Some thoughts that come to my mind about the design of the game is that this wii sports game does not concentrate its focus upon the looks but rather than the feeling of enjoyment. The level of fun so to speak is the main interest of the wii sports game. The design represents the basic world inorder for the player to compete in. The design gives the satisfaction of fun but it does not hold the high level of quality design. In my opinion i would rate the design and 'OK or C'. The design may not be much but the wii sports game does pack a punch of fun.Sun, 20 Jan 2008 03:04:24 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1871&iddiary=3849Wii Sports (Wii) - Tue, 15 Jan 2008 02:33:56https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1871Summary In "Wii Sports" there are multiple games that you can actively engage in. One of these games is 'Tennis' in which you control a person called a 'Mii' that allows you to fully engage in a sort of real life based game play. The tennis racket lies in your hand and as you move the control in your hand the movements that you make are executed directly into the mii in the television. Therefore you then feel as if it were real tennis but just inside the television. Gameplay Ever since i got the Wii system it has been very much worth playing for. Meaning that the fun level rises up as you play the game. Its not just a system and game where you interact with your mission and cary out whatever objective you need to accomplish. This very 'Wii' allows you to engage with the game itself. It does this through the wii control that lets you fully represent the person or animal in the game. This very unique control system is the center core of the fun level. Although the characters in the Wii sports game are not that of a high quality state they still give the full and even more compatible game fun experience. Now that you have a sense of feeling that you are the person on the screen you can feel the rise of awareness and attention. In the tennis game your primary focus is on the ball as you have to calculate the exact time to hit the ball. This and many other aspects of the game equal the sensational and interactive fun of the game.Tue, 15 Jan 2008 02:33:56 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=1871&iddiary=3757
