So far I've probably spent over 7 hours playing the new expansion. Once I installed the game I decided to start a new Death Knight character, the new hero class, which is available on all races and unlocked once you have another character at level 55 or above (I had a 57 rogue). At the moment, Death Knights can only be created on the same realm as your 55+ character, but with the upcoming patch, you will be able to make a Death knight on any realm. Death Knights have their own start area in the Eastern Plaguelands, which must be instanced because Alliance and Horde Death Knights are unable to see each other until they have completed all the start area quests. The start area offers quests which will take your Death Knight from level 55 to 58 and reward you with new armor (although you do start with fairly good armor anyway). Once you have finished the start area you are given a choice of two weapons, a two handed axe or a two handed sword (both are practically the same). After this you will be ready for Outland (The Burning Crusade) which will take you to level 70. I recently reached level 70 on my Death Knight, which means I can now access the new content of the expansion. You are given a choice of two areas to travel to, Borean Tundra or Howling Fjord. I chose Howling Fjord, and the scenery is quite notably different. Although the graphics aren't exactly realistic, The new areas are a lot more detailed than before. There is a lot more activity around too, NPC's are almost everywhere you look, most of which you can kill, talk to or interact with in some way. The Wrath of the Lich King introduces a new battleground too. Since I am only level 70 I don't have access to it yet. I plan to unlock this tonight and try it out and feature it in my next log, along with another new area, the Grizzly Hills.Wed, 14 Jan 2009 08:02:29 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3515&iddiary=6588
