JHall15's GameLogBlogging the experience of gameplayhttps://www.gamelog.cl/gamers/GamerPage.php?idgamer=989Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Tue, 10 Mar 2009 14:40:09https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3718I accidently wrote the first entry as a grand theft auto one, I couldn't find a way to edit it so I just resubmitted it. This was my first entry. So after installing the game the game I started it up and expected that it would just be two kids walking into a high school and shooting up the place and killing everyone they see until the end. I did not expect the game to have as much substance as it did. As I found my self at the shooters home it was really weird going through the conversations and preparation that they were taking before going to the school. You really feel as if you are one of them and that you are really about to go through what they did. Personally I really had no feelings about shooting up a fake school in a game because as a avid video game player I am able to seperate my self pretty well from what is real and what is not and even though this had really happened I knew I wasn't really hurting anyone. So as I started my way through the house I found that almost everything you clicked on would bring up some sort of memory or video, I thought that was kind of cool of the level of detail the designers did in order to make the game. After taking me a while to get out of the house because of going around and trying to click on everything I was able to move on to the parking lot scene. After I got there and the game gave me the option to save I figured it was a good time to stop for now.Tue, 10 Mar 2009 14:40:09 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3718&iddiary=6965Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Tue, 10 Mar 2009 14:38:23https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3718After waiting a few hours to play the next round of the game because of the frustration I finally am ready to get on with the game. Now after getting back outside of the school again I found my self confused on where to go. I was supposed to get some stuff out of his car; but every car looked the same so I had to go around and try to find the car that had the black bags in them. I finally find the black bags and meet the other shooter over in a park to gear up and get ready. After a long conversation about how much they hated everyone and wishing they could kill more I really realized that these were two really disturbing individuals... I wonder how nobody had ever noticed this about them before or brought it to anyone's attention. So I get the guns and walk over to the school. After pushing every button on the keyboard to figure out how to shoot I eventually realize this isn't a real shooter but more of a turn based game. I was so mad; I have no idea how you can take a school shooting and turn it into a turn based game. I don't think the students in real life really had much of a turn to fight back especially when the guys had guns pointed in there face. After going through and killing a few students I got really bored of the whole turn based crap and decided that was enough of this game for me. I really was disappointed with this game. I thought the amount of detail they had with the characters was great; but the whole game play style was just horrible; but then again maybe this game was more about educating us about these two individuals rather then the fighting mechanics them selves, who knows?Tue, 10 Mar 2009 14:38:23 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3718&iddiary=6964Super Columbine Massacre RPG (PC) - Tue, 10 Mar 2009 14:30:00https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3718So for my next time playing I start out in the parking lot and go through all the talking and figure out that I have to get some of the bombs out of the trunk of the car. After getting them out of the car I figured I could just walk into the school and go wherever and set them up and watch them blow. As I entered the school I would only get a few steps in and would end up getting caught. I had no idea why? I looked around and thought maybe it was the people who I had to sneak by; but soon realized that there was no way of getting by them without them noticing. I found this really annoying because I spent over a half hour running into the school trying to get to where ever I needed to go with not luck. I was really getting frustrated. I eventually realized that those random looking things on the walls were cameras and that I needed to go underneath them in order to move on as well as not walk into the path of any oncoming student who might strike up a conversation with me. So I finally get to the cafeteria and again have no idea what to do because all I was told was to place two bombs in the vending machine and under a table. Unfortunatley there were around 100 tables and only one of them was the right one so I had to run around and try to figure out where I was going to place them for a while. I decided to take a break because I was getting so frustrated with the game. I found this part to not be too intense; just rather more annoying then anything. I wish the game had some better hints on what to do and where to go in order to make things go over a little more smoothly.Tue, 10 Mar 2009 14:30:00 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3718&iddiary=6963Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PC) - Tue, 10 Mar 2009 14:07:17https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3593So after installing the game the game I started it up and expected that it would just be two kids walking into a high school and shooting up the place and killing everyone they see until the end. I was unarmed and just decided to walk out to pedestrians in the middle of the day on the sidewalk and start fighting them. I found it funny that sometimes you would find a big tough looking guy running after the first hit to them and if you would sometimes hit an old lady she would throw up her fist like she was ready to take on Mike Tyson, those old ladies can really throw down. After about beating down 10 or so civilians a cop finally showed up; but it only seemed to come because it was passing by in a car. I found it funny that after terrorizing so many people in the middle of the day the cops would not seem to show up. Maybe they had something better to do, who knows? After the cop came I again decided to put a fight with him and was quickly beaten down because my health was already so low from the previous fights. Again after playing you realize how unrealistic this game really is and it makes me laugh that you see so many people against it when it is nothing like real life.Tue, 10 Feb 2009 15:11:12 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3594&iddiary=6735Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PC) - Tue, 10 Feb 2009 15:02:20https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3594For my second session I decided to retry stealing a cop car again and go around trying to see how many stars I could rack up. So I found a cop car driving around near me. I ran over to it to steal it and when the cop came out I beat him down to the ground picked up his weapan and shot the other cop. I find it hilarous how easy it is to just steal a cop car from two police officers. I guess the cops in the game weren't trained very well because they weren't able to take down an unarmed civilian. I got into the car and started mowing down civilians and cops as I saw them trying to get as many stars as possible. I was at about 3 stars when things started to get a bit harder with more and more cops comeing trying to take me out. Once again despite knowing better I saw another ramp and decided to go for it. This time I sucessfully landed until running into a building and then being trapped by a few cop cars behind me. I got out of the car and started firing and was quickly shot down by the cops. I guess it takes about a hundred dead civilians and a few dead cops before they decide to really lay down the law.Tue, 10 Feb 2009 15:02:20 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3594&iddiary=6734Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PC) - Tue, 10 Feb 2009 14:50:34https://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3594For my first session of play I decided to just run around and create hell because I had beaten the game in the past when it had originally came out so there would have been no suprise from doing the missions. I had no money or weapans to really use so I decied to run over to the nearest car and steal it and have some fun driving around the streets. I always thought it was funny seeing the way people act when you go to steal there car. You could just pull them right out and most of the time they would just run in terror even if you didnt have a weapan. I just thought to myself I wouldn't let anyone steal my car that easily. After getting in the car I was just speeding down the streets ignoring all traffic laws; which the game does not enforce. After about fifteen minutes of just exploring I decided to have a little more fun. I saw a cop car and went over to it, pulled out the cop, beat him to the ground then grabbed his gun and shot the other cop and then got in the cop car. I wanted to have them chase me becuase I remember how much fun it was to see how far you could get and how many stars you could rack up until they finally took you down. This didnt last too long, I took the car off a ramp that I saw and ended up landing upside down and was killed from the blast before I could get away. Even though in the game you are able to beat up cops and kill random people, when you actually play the game you are able to see how arcade it really is and how unrealistic it is what you are doing. Overall the first session was a good one, this was one of my favorite games from the past.Tue, 10 Feb 2009 14:50:34 CSThttps://www.gamelog.cl/logs/LogPage.php?Log_Id=3594&iddiary=6733
