    SUMMARY

The game opens with the main character (Italian?) on a shipping boat arriving at the port of Liberty City, where the player is introduced to a few eccentric characters and immediately thrown into the game by driving to the next location. The story and dialogue, though vulgar, throughout the game is fairly interesting, revolving around various types of criminal activities. The game seems very goal based where a series of objectives are given to the player to form a chain of events.

    GAMEPLAY

Driving is a big portion of the game and is very easy to get into, though becoming skilled with the controls will take some time. The other half of the game play is the players interaction with the other characters in the game. This interaction involves things such as driving characters to various locations, fighting rival characters and gangs, and even dating women.

Fighting initially consists of fist fights which is really no more than simple button mashing, but soon advances to using guns and more advanced situations.

The game progresses when the player completes a series of objectives for a mission, which when completed, leads to the next mission. Almost every mission begins by driving to some location watching a cut scene and then driving somewhere else to either fight someone or pursue them in a car chase with possible cut scenes in between.

The story revolves around the players character Niko who meets his cousin in liberty city. He quickly becomes involved in gang activity where the player is placed in some interesting encounters with rival gangs as well as many different driving situations. The characters voice acting seems pretty well done and allows the player to become engrossed in the story.

This seems like a very vast game and I am sure that there are still many intricate elements to the game that I have yet to explore.
