When I started my PS2 I realized that my game had not been saved (not that I was very far anyhow). After re-playing the beginning of the game I realized a lot more things that really backed up what I had said earlier. Shouts from pedestrians inform us that CJ had a drug background. One man yelled “back in the game boy?” This to me says that prior to his return, CJ was somehow involved with illegal activity. The question I see fit is, does CJ need to return to his old habits to survive in this neighborhood? He constantly is saying how the neighborhood has changed for the worse. CJ is also constantly saying how he wants to go back to work on the streets for his cousins. It almost seems like his old crew is trying to protect him from what he used to be. He most definitely changed his old dirty habits (although we don’t know what they are exactly). After fixing my controller I have a bit more interest in how this plot interacts with the rest of the class. Game play was overall better and easier to control once I fixed the joy stick…duh.

San Andreas is a game that is surrounded by crude language, violence, drugs, and sexual content. This is no different from any GTA. In San Andreas you play the Character CJ a young man who returns to his old neighborhood because of his mothers death. Seconds into my first mission I was being shot at from rival gang members. More F bombs were dropped in the first 3 cut scenes then any other game I have seen. I felt that the controls were not as fluent as other games I play, and I didn’t feel comfortable with them. I feel that this game kind of stereotypes minorities. One of the first things CJ talks about is drugs and how he should get back in the game. Centering the game around this makes it weak in my opinion.
