The Action
The action in this game is very explicit and racist.
There is lots of violence, sexual references, and distasteful language.
The violence is obviously very blatant. And as for the sexual references, there are hookers and strip clubs all over the imaginary city. The racism is what is most bothersome. Of course there will be violence and sex in a lot of video games. However, there is not always racism, which is almost a bigger ETHICAL issue. (not a bigger issue in general though.) Some lines of ethical thought are based on racism itself.
For instance, there are two different law enforcement agencies in the game. City police and county police. Each have their own problems. The city police seem to be very corrupt. They are paid off by certain gangs and have an alliance to give immunity. They also protect the gangs they are paid off by. The county police are seem to be racist. They call the character, CJ, “boy.” The press has recently covered this word when used in certain context, when a Senator referred to African American presidential candidate Barack Obama as “boy.”
These instances show just some of the unethical points of “the action” when playing this game.

The Introduction
The introduction of the game was filled with unethical 'values' one could say. The game during the introduction sequence had racial stereotyping and racial profiling. As well as racial slurs.
For the racial stereotyping, it had people of certain races playing stereotypical roles. When they are driving in the police car to the neighborhood, it even includes blatant discussion about the stereotypes, that could be quite offensive to many people.
As for the profiling, it includes a scene where they arrest someone just because of who they are and the race they are, they automatically assume he has done something wrong. This is unethical to portray this in the game, because it is a serious ethical topic that breeches our law and order as well as our justice system today.
Finally, the racial slurs were very intense and obviously offensive. There is even admittance between the racial police officers that it is offensive. But it is only laughed upon.
From experience, all of this could be certainly damaging to a young person that may be playing the game, particularly from where I reside. I come from a very rural area that is unfortunately not blessed with diversity. This means that there is very little interaction between races. If a young absorbent mind such as where I come from were to see that, they may think that is how it is in the real world, and that is how it should be.
It obviously should not be that way. This is why we must be careful with ethics and be careful to draw the line somewhere that is fair to all. All people deserve to be treated the same, and with respect.
