I have been playing the GTA franchise since it was first brought to the PC and all the action was from an over the top perspective. I never end up beating San Andreas when it was originally released, but I did play it.
The story for this game reminds me of a cookie cutter scenario for an excuse for "CJ" to return home. I feel like its been done countless times before in video games or cinema. The story from what I remember does not hold a candle to Vice City.
I am a little taken away by some of the language in the game and all the racial stereotypes. I think it is a little over the top at times. It is kind of funny saying this because I remember playing this games when I was younger and it did not bother me at all. THEN AGAIN, I do realize a large majority if not all of it is satire and it is not to be taken seriously. This is incredibly evident when listening to some of the radio stations or advertisements.
The graphics are decent for the time and the fact it's on ps2. Really makes you appreciate what we have today, and how far gaming has come.
