With each failed attempt to actually kill someone I get more and more frustrated to the point where I see why they went crazy and killed everyone that they saw in their way. Getting past the hall monitors is no easy feat. Everytime I plant the bombs in the cafeteria it takes me a long time to make it out of the school. Just when I think I've mastered the technique of manuevering in and out I get set back. All the ammunition is a bit uneccessary and for te sake of context I'm glad I haven't gotten a chance to get into the classroom, I wish they would have had this much trouble when this event actually occured. I find myself turning down the music a lot while I'm going through to the cafeteria because it kind of creeps me out. This game is definitely not for me. My biggest concern is how unethical this game is and how uncomfortable it makes me feel.

The process of actually getting into the school and through to the cafeteria is a feat in itself. I didn't think that getting past hall monitors would take skill and patience. I always got away with it in high school, but then again this is a game, which is more reason for me to assume it'd be easier. Everytime I got into the cafeteria I would run into more trouble and that hindered me from planting the bombs. I wonder what security was like or wasn't like when these shootings occured. The language that Dylan and Eric use is really agressive, violent, and somewhat insane. The charachters are so enthralled with mass destructon. After several failed attempts to finally get into some action I'm calling it a quits until my next go round.
I'm playing with Eric and it annoys me to some degree that Dylan is always sending me to do all the dirty work. Aren't we partners in this whole plan? It seems as if the only time the two interact is when I get busted or stray in the parking lot and dylan says "Don't p***** out on me" It seems a if my charachter has no choice and its hard to say whether or not he would decide against the killing in different circumstances. There is no option to just get rid of the hall monitors and anyone that obstructs the destructive path that will lead to the student body's demise.

I spent the first half an hour of playing getting used to the eerie plot and navigating through the house. The idea of actually playing one of the killers was surreal seeing that the Columbine Shootings were one of the most popular and horrific events of my generation. The game allows you to interact and re-enact the day that Dylan and Eric planned to go through with their killing spree. As you get out of bed you can turn on the radio and hear an instrumental rendition of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" which is no coincedence. You also go to the phone to discuss getting ammunition ready and telling Dylan to meet you at your house. Disturbing for me is the fact that when you go into the basment you can see the Marilyn Manson CD that the two men said inspired them to commit the crime. After collecting the duffel bags, bombs, and watching the documentary video the boys made to narrate their last days I didn't go any further. All of the atmospherics (music and starting the game in the simulated house) intertwined with the actual events being reinerated throughout the game made me feel as if I was personally involved, I began to care not as the charachter but as the player.

I go out for Sweet to tag over opposing gangs territory. Do people even tag anymore? Whenever I’m driving in the game I turn to rap stations because they play a lot of old school rap that was popular at the time when Boys in the Hood and Menace II Society came out and that’s what the characters act/look like. The mission I just completed was going to beat up drug dealers and members of the Balla gang. When I finished doing that I just started riding around listening to music and playing vigilante in a police car. In reality I would not steal a police car because it is wrong and illegal in a game however there are no real consequences or repercussions for doing so.
