Day 3 and the best reason i have to play this game again is the fact that it is for a grade. It is a interesting concept to put it in their perspective and attempt to justify what they are trying to do. they are outcasts but that should not be a reason for mass murder. Its all too sad to play this again and fully invest feelings into it. From the music to the cut scene of implied homosexuality and primal living where no one can bother them. Its very sad that this is a real life situation and that this is is how they decided to make a name for themselves.
If i could put a rationalization to playing this game it would be from the utilitarian perspective where event hough i don't like the game all too much i definitely will play it and write about it as the instructions say, simply for the utility of it. that is the grade and the possible revelations about it. Its that simple. Otherwise i wouldn't play this game because its a little disrespectful to the average gamer. to sympathize so much with the villain. Its a little like playing Mario as bowser and the goal is to kidnap an innocent girl simply because you want to or need to for whatever reason, I don't think there are ever reasons given in Mario why he does this so often every generation of gaming .
from Kant's perspective, should I play this game? Yes it would be wise to play this game since there are definite benefits of realizations about society that directly affect us and give us real meaning to our lives as well as clarify why they did this some extent, although this is made by an outside source and not them. So i think maybe then i would say Kant would say don't waste your time on video games that are unproductive in some way or only serve to waste time that is valuable and could be spent in more productive ways.
today was a breeze and most of the game was spent watching cut scenes and avoiding killing. Kinda Lame, very sad and not worth playing...much.

I had to replay this game from the start but this time i made it to hell. Yay! Well this game has some very good music selections but otherwise i think its kinda lame. There isn't much to say about it but it was kinda fun to reminisce. Now i guess i should say about how immoral it is to kill people that are innocent but that seems trivial, it was interesting to see a cameo from wild Bill Clinton the president who couldn't admit to inhaling... the emotional slide show of pictures is a nice touch to a un remorseful sort of game. What a weird way to look at the world, i always loved the things we have and it sucks when people freak out at go too far to change things to their liking, especially in violent ways like this.

I remember this day, this year was the last year of my youth where i actually was making it on my own before having to join the Air Force. This year i moved out of my home, was living with friends, selling a little bit of bud to get by, working for cash at a pizza place, trying to get school done... and failing at most things in general but knowing that if i kept trying it would be OK. When this happened on 4/20 i remember thinking that it was not that uncommon now a days for this kinda crazy shit to happen. It was not for me and i wouldn't agree but i could see it... it wasn't out of the realm of reason to fathom this happening. Grade schoolers had been getting caught with weapons after all.
I remember being upset that they did such stupid things on 4/20 because i always thought that it was a sacred cannabis day! silly right... BTW i didn't get to puff this 4/20 my classes are a little to intensive at DePaul for that... :( anyways i was upset because they left a shadow on the day. This game is a grim reminder of how it does suck to really feel the music of the game, the apathy, the grim nature of it all... but something else struck me as i started playing this game, it seemed that they were always coming to this, everything in their lives said FUCK IT. the music, clothing, attitude, and of course the desire to make a name for themselves.
Now i play this game and it makes me sad... it all seems to real, if there is a reality game, this is it... the music the depression the hopelessness the overall grim outlook of life, but the hope to become something, its all there and i think most of us agree with the notion that we all want to be something better than we are, unfortunately these kids didn't care how they got attention. I am in the parking lot and getting ready for the next scene tomorrow... its distubing but i think it will be ok... if i can chug through the lamest FINAL FANTASY ever in FF13 (story-wise) i think i can handle this...

Odin Sphere is an amazing graphical game and with original game play elements that merge a farm simulation with a dining aspect. The writing of the game is woven among five main characters that interact together to piece the story together in a very grim and dramatic fashion.
The premise revolves around a ring that is destined to be the catalyst to the end of the world. The main themes follow and are inspired by Wagner's epic "Ring of the Nibelung" a opera written in such massive scope it needs to be performed over a few days and features the "Ride of the Valkyrie's" musical score.
This game however is an rpg that defies all modern gaming concepts with more focus on dramatic presentation than any other game i have played. Coming in a close second might be "Heavy Rain" but the difference is that Heavy Rain is reality based and Odin Sphere is heavy in Mythology.
