During this log I just roamed the city. I fought random people on the street, killed cops to gets guns and shot at rival gang members. I have realized that while in the world of the game there are no morals. Things that I would never do in the game I do with no problem. I even kind of felt like I lost my morals. It’s like a escape from reality. I like to take over hoods. Maybe because where I grew up people in my neighborhood thought that was cool. You can be a gang member and not suffer the negative affects. Killing here gives me less feeling then killing an ant. You do some pretty unethical things in the game but its all for fun. This makes the game interesting. I wouldn’t make these choices like this in the real world. I would love to be able to be in a shootout and not feel the pain, physically or morally.

Within the first 10 minutes of playing the game, I have heard, “bitch” “hoe” “nigga.” The game is simulating the life a Californian that’s from Grove street. The character is named CJ. The game implements many stereotypes that people have towards young African Americans. For example the characters use “nigga” quite often and other offensive language. I can understand why some might think this is racist, but I don’t think the game producers are racist. They are just trying to make the game as interesting as possible. Also the game is somewhat based on Boys from the hood, where almost every element of the game (in the aspects of gang banging and relationships with members of the neighborhood) is was taken from. That movie is not racist so the game cant be.
