I played Super Columbine Massacre for a little while last night. I went into the library and cause some havoc in there until the cops came. Then I was giving the option to "end it now." So I chose that option and Dylan and Eric shoot and kill themselves. At this point, I thought the game would end, as the pictures rolled in memory of the horrific events of the Columbine shootings. Much to my amazement, the game continues as I continued playing as Dylan...IN HELL! Walking through hell, Dylan comes across Demon Impes, Soldiers, and Sargeants while trying to find Eric in hell. The game becomes much more difficult because hell's creatures are more powerful and difficult to kill compared to high school students and teachers. Also, upon arriving in hell, Dylan is without most of his weapons and gear, so fighting demoms is even more difficult. Trying to work my way through hell, fighting the demons became too much and Dylan dies and I stopped playing at that point.
Overall this game was somewhat interesting but pretty evil, as you play the game as Eric and Dylan murdering innocent people. Ending up in hell made the game very bizzare, but to the developer's credit, far less predicatable. Overall I think the game was trying to show what happens to teens who do not know how to handle their problems and how society in the 90's was mistaken in terms of the causes of violence. Society blamed it all on violent video games, certain types of music, and types of literature. Sure these materials might have an influence, but there was a human element too. These boys felt mistreated and resented their peers(according to the game). They even resented life and living on earth amongst humanity. It's possible with some care from others, these boys may not have gone on their rampage, but we will never know.

I continued the game today from where I left off late last night. It got a little redundant just killing high school students, teachers, and janitors the entire time. However, as the killing spree progresses through the school building, some storyline further develops, portraying Dylan and Eric in a more sympathetic and tragic light.
In one of the boys' bathrooms, Dylan and Eric come across a group of jocks beating up a boy. Dylan and Eric think back to how they were tortured and beaten by jocks because of their looks, so they attack the jocks to save the boy. Eric and Dylan fill themselves with hate and motivation to kill when they have flashbacks like these.
In the library, after killing a girl sitting at a computer, Eric says that he taught that girl how to use the computer and the internet. Another flashback happens, this time showing Eric trying to call Brenda, the girl he loves. Brenda does not return his call and sends him away when Eric attempts to go to her. Eric remorsefully expresses how much he loved Brenda and how she was his "first time." He acknowledges that his life was never the same after losing her. When the flashback ends, Eric's combat level rises and he is ready to kill even more.
What I found in my second day of playing this game is that the developer may be trying to represent the struggles of high school teenagers and how they fail to positively cope or overcome their problems. They directly link Eric's and Dylan's violence to their personal faults and problems. Eric and Dylan are portrayed as them against the world, taking out their problems on their schoolmates.

I just started playing this game tonight and was surprised at the gameplay and graphics. I wasn't expecting anything too fancy as this is a PC game though. Anyway, the gameplay was painfully similar to aspects of the popular Gameboy game Pokemon, at least in relation to the fighting of enemies, health, and collecting items.
I understand that the Columbine Massacre was a serious and grave event, but this game seems a little "cheesy." Eric and Dylan, the two killers are stereotypically drawn with how they talk about violent video games, Marilyn Manson, and how much they hate the people at their school and in their town as influences in the shooting. Also, the students that are the victims are stereotyped as "Nerdy Girl," "Pretty Girl," "Jock Type," "Goody Girl," and "Church Girl." The game suggests that Eric and Dylan hate all these stereotypes, but there doesn't seem to be any normal or unclassified students as targets in the massacre.
Right now I am in the process of killing students, teachers, and janitors while waiting to see how this game ends compared to the real Columbine Shooting.
