I was trying to be good and I mean by good in this case, not to kill anyone. I was walking and there were people coming out from the school. I did not have the feeling to kill people who just came out from school. I continued walking until I got inside and until that moment I was trying to be good, but the game took me to a fight when someone started the fight with me. Honestly, I decided to play this game for thirty minutes at first but then when I started playing, I changed my mind and decided to spend more time playing this game because I was trying to find what was the point of playing this game. In other words, what is the idea that the games’ creators were trying to arrive to the audience? I only found one answer which is to be a killer. The game award you when you kill people and it encourage you to be a killer. That is violence to all the community because most people say killing is wrong especially in the U.S. And this game is teaching our kids to be a killer which is totally wrong. This was my opinion of playing my first occasion and I am really wondering and cannot wait to play different ones to see if I was wrong or not.

I really started to like this game and play it over and over. The game has 104 missions, and I am planning to finish all of them because it is really fun even though it is not fun at all when we apply that in real life. It is just fun when we play it.
For example, I was in a mission called “Running Dog” and I was playing that with my neighbor, from Spain. We both were having a good time playing and chilling. In this mission there was a character called Big Smoke. The surprise was when I was playing the game, one of the Vagos insulting and violated Big Smoke by saying “ Fuck your mother, asshole” in Spanish.
No matter what Big Smoke does, there should not be saying of bad words in the game. I know most people say that the players of the game should be plus 18. As a result there would not be any problem of saying bad words. I say, the reality is different. I mean from what I seen, most people who played this game was under 18 years old. I asked 10 of my friends when we were talking about the game and all of them said that they played this game when they were really young. Most of them played it in the age of 10 or 12 years old.
At the end, Granted Theft Auto has influenced our children by saying bad words and act angry. It also teaches our children that the only way to get the freed is by doing bad stuff such as stealing, fighting and saying bad words. And those things are against our cultures norms.

I started to like playing video games after my Professor assigned a homework to all the students that taking Ethics in Computer Games and Cinema class. Tonight, I played Grant Theft Auto for an hour and that was my second time playing this game.
I played different occasion this time and as the first time, I liked playing it and really enjoyed it but there was an issue that made me not feeling comfortable while I was playing. For some reasons the police officer caught me stealing a car and he started to through racist word on me like “nigga” or “stupid Mexican” in another time.
As a result, I think this game violate the rules of our community. Racist is not acceptable in the society and this game is just made it easy to do so.

Unlike other people, it is the first time for me to play Grand Theft Auto. I am not into video games, but actually I found it really interesting to do so today. I went to the lab that located in the 7th floor in the CDM building at DePaul University. I played the game for an hour and I really enjoyed it regardless for the negative issues that I found in this game.
When I first started playing the game, I noticed that I loss control of the car very quick. As a result, I made so many car accidents, which made me not feeling comfortable, because I was trying to act as the good man who does not violate any rules but I felt it would not work that way. The only way to have fun playing this game is to violate the rules because I really felt that there is no way to play this game without making any action such as stealing other cars, passing the traffic lights, hitting other people by the car or running from the police. The games’ creators made those immoral things in the real life to be acceptable things to do in the game, no matter what.
From utilitarianism view point, it is true that you steal, kill, violate rules and say bad words but at the ends it brings pleasure to people who play it, because it does not harm anyone in real life.
I enjoyed this game actually and I learned how to look the ethical issues in every game I play. It is always great to analyst the point or the idea that the creators of the games are trying to say.
