Wow! Time flies. I was planning on only playing for an hour, but I lost track of time and played for five hours! In that time, I finished every level! Although this game is not long, it is really fun. I especially enjoyed making my Katamari large enough to roll up the entire island I started the level on. I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a change of pace from the ordinary.

After playing the game for an hour, the only thing I could think was "What the heck is this nonsense?" With that being said, I really enjoyed myself. This strange, crazy game is about you, the son of the King of the Cosmos, are charged with fixing your father's mistake. By rolling around a giant sticky ball, you gather materials to create new stars and replace the ones that were destroyed in a freak accident.
although all this may sound like nonsense to anyone who has not played the game, it is pretty addicting and you will find yourself playind for hours on end.

After finally getting an oppertunity between classes and homework, I turned on the old NES and began playing again. After playing through the first level and beating the boss in record time, instead of moving on to the 2nd level, myy ship began accelerating and was warped to the level with those statues that look like the ones on Easter Island. Although I was happy to skip ahead like that, I was frustrated that I ended up in that level because that level is very difficult... almost too difficult!

This sure brings back memories. Back in Elementary school, I played Gradius III and it was one of my favorite non-RPGs. I finally got to try the first one and, I must say, it was very well made.
Sure, the controls are not perfectand, the bosses are hard to harm, and the third level is unbelivably difficult, but I enjoyed the experience nonetheless.
My only complaint is that you can't save the game!
