Game 101 Game Log:
I wanted this GameLog to be a continuation of last week’s game log about Halloween Specials. Last week I went in through detail about Guild Wars 2 Halloween special update, I barely scathed upon Team Fortress 2 Halloween Update. But this week I will go into through detail about Team Fortress 2 update. To start of the Halloween update for Team Fortress 2 was an update that added a couple of new Halloween special maps as well as Halloween special Items and equipment’s for character classes. The official title of the Halloween update was Team Fortress 2 Scream Fortress. The main evil wizards name was Merasmus! He is an evil wizard who is able to call spells and curse you with wicked spells, I will go into more detail about him later. One of the Scream Fortress maps I got to play was Wheel of Fate. The special part about this map was that it had a special wheel in the middle of the map that would judge your fate. Every time an opposing team took over the middle of the map the wheel of fate would set off and determines everyone’s fate. There are many fates that can be chosen from, the first fate is having all the players have small heads. The next faith is that everyone does a Michael Jackson type of dance in the middle of the map with both teams lined up facing each other, the outcome is a bloody... bloody battle right in the middle of the battlefield. Other fates include ginormous heads, low gravity, ubercharge for everyone, and etc. One of the best part about the wheel of fate map is when Merasmus is choosen as a fate. He comes out and fights every person using his wicked spell, if you kill him you receive a achievement. The whole server both red and blue must put effort into working together to kill Merasmus. Other cool stuff the Scream Fortress update has is new hats which include a very scary pumpkin mask as a hat. Other cool aspects of the update is that every health pack and ammo are Halloween themed to you picking up candies to refuel your health and ammo.

Game 101 Game Log
This Halloween week has been an awesome adventure playing many games that had Halloween special updates. It’s been an interesting week in terms of how many games released updates and dlc’s for Halloween. There were many interesting updates that had come out for both Guild Wars 2 and Team Fortress 2. The Guild Wars 2 update included new Halloween special locations such as a special forging area which has a witch pot as the main forging place. They added a lot cool nifty stuff such as special PvP battles against opponents. What you do first is you go to the giant brewing witch pot and randomly forge yourself as a Halloween character or costume. Some of the characters that you could be were being a spider, pumpkins, and different kinds of candies. Also the update included many new side quest missions that you could do. One of them was that you find a treasure box, after you open it a screw (mouse like character) would come out of the treasure box and run away with all of the supplies in his big bag. As you would chase him some of the treasure would fall and you would have a limited distance to catch up with him and receive back your treasure or else if you fail it would vanish. The next game that I sort of played this week was team fortress 2. It came with a huge number of Halloween updates. The two major updates added where the maps and items. I believe there were a total of two official Halloween maps that where given out that had many special things that could happen inside of them. The special items that I received while playing are to expire on November 9, so I still have time to mess around with the new craft able weapons. Next week I will go into detail talking about what exactly all the new Halloween updates where for team fortress 2.

Game 101 Game Log October 21, 2012:
This week has been an awesome week for my Game Log, all of my Midterms have finally finished. I had finally gotten more time to do my Game Log authentically compared to last week. Last week was a big hassle for me to do my Game Log on Guild Wars but I managed to do it. This week has been a big epic adventure for me. I set off this week to play and mod my old favorite game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim! I had an epic time looking and finding new interesting mods on Steam Work Shop as well as Skyrim Nexus website. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was developed by my most favorite developers of all time Bethesda Studio. Bethesda studios in the past have developed many other games such as The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas. My most favorite game from Bethesda studios has to be The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim both capture the best fantasy worlds that suck you in and kill your time. The best part about both games is modding them. As I said before I was modding just Skyrim this week. As I modded Skyrim I ran into a few problems but I managed to fix some of them. The first mod I had gotten was Okami a wolf follower. Okami is essentially a wolf companion who helps you on your quest in Skyrim. He is able to listen to simple commands such as sit, follow, and attack. The best part of Okami is when you engage in battle, he is a ferocious wolf when it comes to fighting which make deadly and effective in many of your Skyrim quests. The next mod I got for Skyrim was an Armor mod which changed the fur mods to look better and be higher resolution. Next week I hope to continue modding Skyrim as well as start on the Elder Scrolls of Oblivion. I might also play Guild Wars 2 and explore the lands of Lion’s Gate.

This week has been amazing in terms of what I got accomplished. I was able to sell my old graphic card and upgrade to a higher and better graphics card. The graphic card I sold was the HD 6870 crossfire set; I have many good memories and treasurable moments with it that I will miss. The new g card I decided to get was the HD 6990 which Is a monster graphic card compared to my old system rig. Its performance absolutely throws my old graphic card out of the box. In some games my performance had tripled. I was able to play my battlefield 3 on ultra 1920x1080 with times 4 anti-analyzing with a constant 60 frame rates per second. I mainly got this card though just for Guild wars 2 since I was unable to play it on ultra-settings. Thanks to this new graphic card I was able to fully experience guild wars 2 as it was meant to be experienced. With astonishing performance I set adventure to new lands to learn more about the rich world of guild wars. While I had adventured I did many side quest missions and helped locals with their problems such as rabbit eating local foods. It was pretty funny since when you carried the bag of food to the way point, you would be pushed and pommeled by the rabbits which made it hard to get the objective done. Another amazing thing that I did in guild wars 2 was to set off an adventure to go pass my boundaries of the homeland for the Norn’s. I went to Lion’s Gate which you have to travel their by going through 2 portals. It was an awesome site to be there. There were a lot of people working on forging, trading, and starting up guilds. I will continue next week in exploring the realm of Lion’s Gate.
