Nov 30th, 2012 at 10:57:07 - Mad Truckers (Arcade) |
The game I chose to play for GameLog fifteen was called Mad Truckers. It was a line racing game. The purpose of the game was to battle with crazy bosses while crashing every other vehicles and trying to raise business and also, to survive in the crash. The controls of the game were simple to follow and easy to understand. Basically, the left, right, up, and down arrows were the only keys used and they were used for moving the truck. The only rule this game had was to make sure other vehicles were crashed without crashing your truck. I personally did not enjoy playing Mad Truckers. It was too boring for my liking. The scenery was dull and unattractive. It had no landmarks, and beautiful scenes which attracted me. The sound effect was boring to listen to. It had the same sound to it. It got really annoying at some point which made me stop playing the game. Overall, in my opinion, the entire game was boring to play and the game idea of the game was extremely uninteresting and boring. It would have been better if, at least, there were many trucks to crush and also, if the level of speed was increased a little bit to make it more interesting and challenging to play. If I had to personally recommend Mad Truckers to anyone to play, I will honestly not recommend it to anyone. It was just too unexciting, uninteresting, and pain in the butt to play.

Nov 27th, 2012 at 12:38:28 - Highway Madness (PC) |
For GameLog fourteen, I chose to play Highway Madness. It was a city racing game. The aim of the game was to race on the highway with many other cars in a heavy traffic by passing the other vehicles and collecting money, repairs, nitro boosts for fame and fortune. The mechanics and instructions were easy to follow and understand. The right, left, up, and down arrows were used to move the car, the spacebar was used to brake, while the “z” key was used to nitro boost. The key to playing Highway Madness was to avoid collision of your vehicle to the other vehicles. It was also about collecting enough bonuses because with that bonus, you could buy new and better cars to race even faster. I played this game several times and won on so many occasions. However, I lost at times. But losing did not affect me to stop playing it rather; it motivated me to even try more to win. What I liked the most was the fact that you could pick your own car at the very beginning of the game. Most games do not offer that option. The environment where the game was played was colorful. It had trees, building, and other landmarks. The sound effect was actually pretty awesome to listen to. It was not boring and did not have the same sound effect to it. Overall, I really enjoyed playing Highway Madness and if I had to recommend this game to anyone, I would without a heartbeat. I would recommend it to anyone of any age whether old or young. It was worth the play, interesting, exciting, stress reliever, fun, and, overall, enjoyable. To say I did not love and enjoy playing Highway Madness would be a total lie.

Nov 23rd, 2012 at 21:56:14 - Go Go Agent Zero (Arcade) |
The game I chose to play for GameLog thirteen was an action game specifically run and shoot game, Go Go Agent Zero. The purpose of Go Go Agent Zero was to shoot your enemies while running as fast as you could dodging the bullets of your enemies as well. The mechanics and instructions were easy to follow and understand. While the left and right arrows where used to shoot, the up arrow was used to jump while the down arrow was used to duck and slide and the spacebar was used to throw grenades. This action game automatically entered to the next stage whenever a level was completed. What I actually liked while playing this game was the fact that it was entertaining. I played it numerous times without getting bored as compared to other games I have played. On the other hand, what I did not like about this game was the fact that it did not show the gamer how to play the game. You have to figure out how to play it. The scenery where the game was played was attractive and colorful. It was made up of Rocky Mountains and roads. It displayed different colors to it. The game run smoothly on my computer. It had to breaks or pauses or whatsoever to it and this, in my opinion, made the game more interesting. Overall, I liked and enjoyed playing Go Go Agent Zero and if I had to recommend it to anyone, I would recommend it without a heartbeat. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys playing action games and games in general. It was fun while it lasted, was worth playing, interesting, stress reliever, entertaining, and exciting. I would encourage everyone to put their running shoes on in an attempt to shoot their enemies!

Nov 17th, 2012 at 18:09:20 - Just Shut Up and Drive (Arcade) |
“Just Shut Up and Drive” was the game I chose to play for GameLog twelve simply because of the title of the game. In my opinion, the title was catchy. The purpose of the game was to overtake your opponents while racing and finishing your race before the time runs out and earning extra points for overtaking your opponents closely or at a far distance. The instructions, on the other hand, and mechanics were easy to follow and understand. The left and right arrows were used to steer, the up and down arrows were used to accelerate and brake, and the “p” key was used to pause the game. Basically, the first level had to be completed before the other levels could be unlocked and played. This, I found to be interesting as it would “force” you to play all the levels because you would be curious to see how the other levels would be. The scenery where the racing took place was very beautiful. It was colorful and was made up of tress, landmarks, and buildings. The road, however, was very narrow to race on. This I found to be challenging because I ended up being out of the road at times and this slowed my game play down. The sound heard throughout the game play was unexciting and also, was a pain in the butt to listen to. It had the same sound to it and it really got annoying at some point. I had to mute the sound on so many occasions to enjoy the game. But, overall, I would highly recommend this game to anyone of any age. It was fun, interesting, stress reliever, and exciting. I would encourage everyone to hop in their cars and start racing. Playing this game is worth the try and worth the game.
