    I began playing this game and had no trouble causing trouble in the game. It was almost too easy that I decided to create my own challenge where I would try to obey the rules like a perfect citizen. Of course, law enforcement is much more lenient in this game than they are in real like so I followed the laws like I would in real life, i.e. stay in my lane, no blow stop signs or run through red lights, and obviously not kill any civilians.....This lasted about 25 seconds before shots were fired at me, and I ran over everything and everyone in my path in an effort to escape. I failed miserable in my challenge.
    As I was playing the game I started to notice that It was sort of hard me to run over pedestrians. I found myself trying to dodge them even if they were annoying and got in my way. I don’t know if this is just me but I didn’t do it with ease. Every time I ran someone over I probably felt bad albeit for 3 seconds but nonetheless it wasn’t easy for me to do. It was weird. Especially in a game where killing someone is almost designed to happen very frequently, and the consequences of killing someone was . . . well, there was none. The ethical framework in the game revolved around the idea: As long as the cops don’t see it, go for it. It’s like the value of human life in the game was equivalent to small road kill in reality, like raccoons squirrels. Killing someone in the game was like stealing jelly beans in reality; it wasn’t a big deal, and nothing really happens if you do it. The consequences between these actions no matter how extreme in comparison, were pretty much the same.
    I decided that after failing my challenge that I would try the games challenge, of finding the murders of the main character’s mother. I began it and it was actually fun to play and complete the missions, and played the game long after my session was over. And I plan on playing it after posting this game log. I will report back my experiences in tomorrow’s post.

    This was my first time playing GTA: San Andreas. I downloaded it for PC. When i started the game, the story line was presented to me, it was through the eyes of an adult african male (forgot his name) who was dropped off in a neighbor hood he wasn't too thrilled about by some seemingly corrupt cops. Long story short i think the main mission of the game was to find the killer or killers of the main characters mother. The game seemed pretty interesting at that point: finding and getting vengeance on the killer of his mother. After the presentation of the story and main mission, i was pretty much out in the middle of the neighborhood alone to complete this mission. In order to complete the mission i had to do things like feed the character and earn money doing odd favors or robbing stores to buy a house to stay alive and whatever was required to learn more on who was involved in the killing of his mother. And let me tell you, I've never killed so many people is a video game for really no apparent reason, ever. Some of it was ridiculous. For example, i was given the option to pretty much shoot and brutally beat who ever i chose for absolutely no reason what so ever and for no advantage or reward in the game i.e. beating an innocent civilian didn't get me any rewards (that i know of) which was kind of pointless. It didnt help my progress of completing the mission. It did help me get some built up anger out while beating the cashier at the grocery store. lol. It took me a while to get the controls down to where i was comfortable. But in learning i must of killed like 20-30 innocent people. Another thing i found that was quite ironic was the ambulance mission, where i was to transport injured civilians to the hospital in a certain amount of time, to save his their lives. But in the process i must have killed like 5 people during each transport with didn't make sense. It would be impossible to get the injured civilian to the hospital in time without killing or injuring someone in the process. I think there should at least be more time awarded to complete the mission, or simply deem the mission a fail upon killing a pedestrian during the mission. I'm not gonna sit here and say im against all this violence in games and blah blah blah, but there is no consistency with that part of the game. It would make the mission more exciting to do. Other than that i kind of liked the overall mission/idea of the game.Understanding the map and the controls is a little confusing to me as a first time player, but i look forward to playing the game and recording my log for tomorrow's session.
