Metal Slug 3
a side scrolling arcade shoot'em up originally made for the Neo Geo arcade system.
Rules:
The rules of the game are simple, move to the right defeating enemies, clearing obstructions and beating the boss at the end of the level using various weapons or tanks called metal slugs. The character can only get hit once unless the enemy is either a zombie or a mummy, then the character would turn into that enemy and movement will be slower until attacked by that type of enemy again. Players start out with a pistol with unlimited ammo and ten grenades and can find stronger weapons and types of grenades.
Session 1:
The game starts out with a beach level, a showdown at the enemy's base with an alien twist, and a conclusion on the alien mother-ship. The hardest point in the game in my opinion was the alien mother-ship in which I lost most of my lives, second hardest was a temple level where I had taken an alternate path where I encountered an annoying glitch in the game. The game is short in length but is difficult, I finished the game the first time with 29 continues.
Session 2:
The second play through was similar, though I had gotten more use to the controls and taken easier alternate paths, I had used less continues than my first play through.

checkers is a game consisting of twelve pieces and a board with a checkered color pattern, the game ends when one player no longer has any pieces left on the board.
Rules:
both sides start off at opposite ends of the board and work their way to the opposite end. A game piece or pawn can only move forward and can only attack if there is an empty space behind the opposing piece. if a pawn makes it to the other end of the board the pawn becomes a king and can move forward or backward on the board.
Session 1:
The first session ended quickly as I lost most of my pieces attempting to reach the end of the board having one king and one pawn stuck at the starting point, I'm not that good at checkers.
Session 2:
The second session was similar to the first session, I kept the middle of the board reinforced until it became obvious that someone had to lose a piece, I moved one forward and lost two of my pieces to the opposition. eventually I ended up with one king and one pawn at the start again with my opponent only losing two of his pawns and obtaining four kings ending the game as my last two pieces could not take any advantage.
