I played Brothers for around forty five minutes today. I didn't make it very far in the game, but did interact with most everything in the game, with each of the two Brothers. I found it interesting how each brother interacted with each object differently than the other. It adds some form of realism to the game. And, I thought that it humanized the characters further. I didn't necessarily like the controls of the game on the PlayStation 4, with each analogue stick and L2/R2 controlling a brother. It feels clunky.
The story so far - at least in the way it is presented - is interesting. There's no understandable voice acting, and you can understand what's going on, even without it just by the expressions made by the characters. I'm not that far in to really feel anything for the characters, however. It may sound terrible, but the only time that I've actually felt any emotion during my gameplay thus far was when I was able to take a ball away from a little girl playing basket ball, and throw it down the well. I did feel bad in that scenario.
So, the first gameplay session didn't necessarily leave a good taste in my mouth, so much as a "meh" feeling overall. Though, I do have hopes for the game moving forward.
