Tonight's game was definitely more in my favor. I found that aiming to make the dealer bust played out more in my favor than last game's strategy. I found that I was busting less and therefore winning more. However, my final conclusion is that the game is based predominantly on chance. While my strategies helped decide how often I busted, neither guaranteed me to win every time.

Tonight I decided to play a friendly game of Black Jack with my brother and sister. My sister played the role of the dealer. The rules were pretty simple, the dealer must draw on soft 16 (an Ace used as an 11 and any other combination of cards totaling 16). A player can ask for as many extra cards as they want until they choose to stop, reach 21, or surpass 21 and bust. Payouts are 1:1 (cookies). My main strategy for tonight's game is to get as close to 21 as possible (without going over) to try and beat the dealer.

My strategy seemed to work haphazardly at best. I found that if asked for another card while my hand was worth between 12-16 that I would generally bust. As a whole, I rate trying to beat the dealer's hand as a 2/5 (5 being the best). I think for the next round we are playing tomorrow, I'm going to focus more on trying to make the dealer bust.
