Nov 7th, 2017 at 23:07:01     -    Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma (VITA)

For my third game , I chose to play Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma. This is the 3rd game in the series. I haven't played the other two, but this game has a good introduction for new players to the series. It starts off with 9 people that are trapped inside a compound where they are apporached by a masked figure. The figure proposes a bet. He will flip a coin if its called right they will be freed, but if they call it wrong no one can leave till 6 of them are dead. Right offf the bat you can beat the game by calling the coin flip right but when you do. You are taken to an "outcome tree" where all off the action and choices that you have made are shown. I don't like this very much because it pretty much shows every choice that is possible in the game.

So far so good. This game is more of a visual novel and plays more like a movie than anything. The player only does some occasional choices after reading dialogue. I have played for about an hour and only done around 4 choices. I'm hoping the game opens up and allows exploration once the introductions are over. I am excited for this game, It's like living in an actual version of SAW.

turning this in late because I beat the game. i killed Delilah, I felt a little regret for killing her , but after thinking about it she didn't have too much development so it wasn't a big deal. I got the high chaos ending where I freed Emily and she became a cruel monarch. at first I felt bad about this ending but thinking it through after everything she's been through I dont blame her for her new choices. when she was young she lost her mother to an assasin and was used as a pawn. only for her to become empress at a young age and have nobles in her court plotting against her..... I'm sure there's a chapter like this in Machiavelli somewhere.

overall the game was fun but the story wasn't as intense as the first game. I would've liked to see the assasin daud but he's apparently in the dlc.

    I'll give it a 7/10

Played another few hours of dishonored 2. So far the targets aren't as morally righteous as they were in the first game. I killed the inventor Kirin Jarosh because he was an asshole. If he survived he would build a killer robot army. If he died then no robot army..... I mean the decision was pretty obvious.

Another disappointment I had was with finding out the crown killer's identity. I mean it was a doctor who took a serum. Crazy doctor by day, Crazy killer by night. This seems like a cop out from the writers. I wanted the crown killer to be something a lot cooler like a legendary assassin or a family member or something. The writers missed a good opportunity here.

Gameplay is still good however. I've gotten pretty good at playing the stealth game, which I believe is a lot more fun than just killing everything.

Just started dishonored 2, I played the 1st game a couple of years ago and I really liked it. I avoided the 2nd game when it came out because I thought that it was a spin off or a different story, which I hate. I enjoy when games make direct sequels. Lo and behold the game is actually a direct sequel! I am more engaged now.

So I started the game and as much as I like the teenage empress, I have to go with my man Corvo. He is the hero of the first game and has a cool "Anti-Hero" vibe going for him. It's never revealed what ending you got in the first game, but right off the bat you have the choice of either killing or knocking out your enemies.

If this was my first time playing dishonored, I would be stunning people and having mercy on the rebels, but because I beat the first game, I feel like I have a deeper relationship with Emily and the throne. As soon as I get a knife I start killing rebels right off the bat. I feel no remorse as I decapitate and dismember my way through the game. These people had a choice to help Emily and they chose to stage a coup, they must be punished....

Haha look at me I am really engaged in the game. The game play is cool although it sucks that Corvo needs to relearn all of his powers. It would have been nice to play a level as full powered Corvo and then lose his powers. I have high hopes for the story and need to go save Emily one last time.
