The game is getting more moral choices! Deciding whether or not to report everything or anything to Delilah is sometimes conflicting. You know you should but sometimes it can feel risky. Especially in just deciding how to talk to Delilah, should you flirt or stay more professional, or even a mix of the two. The game does a great job of making you like Delilah but also feel guilty. It adds some great moral conflict to the beautiful mountain landscape.

I started Firewatch. I have to say the beginning really got me. Dementia is something that terrifies and saddens me. Getting to make the decisions in the beginning on how Harry and Julias life together starts, made me feel more connected to the game. It really made me think hard about what I would do in those situations. Especially because both choices given were very similar. This made me feel like I was doing what I would really do in a sense. But also put me into a situation I might never be in. Often, I had to stop and really think about what I would do before I proceeded. I can tell this game will have a lot of choices like that.

I’ve been spending a lot of time completing “Outcast” missions. These missions have the player save 3 slaves from being executed. They are usually really fun and sometimes challenging, if you choose to complete the bonus objectives as well. These missions just make you feel like a hero as well as provide advantages as the more outcasts you free the more likely they are to give you intel on enemies. These missions, though small in purpose, made me feel like I was doing some good, making a little change. The nemesis system, while amazing, can make it feel like your actions have little impact, as when one enemy dies, another takes his place. These missions made me feel like a hero in a never ending sea of Uruks.

Continuing my exploration of Shadow of War has been great! I love the combat system, Im glad that I can choose to take on a massive group of enemies and still get out alive. The mechanics make it feel like you are really skilled, and is very rewarding. The nemesis system is very interesting. I love that it adapts and changes, and even though it can be very frustrating, when you die having more enemies take their place makes the world feel really full and alive. It also presents a lot of moral choices. Deciding who live and dies when to help you gain advantages. Its really fun to explore and test all the options.
