The game map has opened up quite a bit while playing today. I completed a few missions for some people on earth. Mostly gathering supplies. I did progress in the story a bit too. I found a colony of robots that mimic human behavior and actually speak with each other. Then they all banded together and created a very lifelike android for some reason. The question I had was why do the humans believe they can destroy these machines when many of these machines seem to have become intelligent. Also, what level of intelligence is required to merit this special consideration? Many people would insist that even unintelligent animals have just as valuable lives as humans do.

I just started and got all the way through the first mission. I thought it was interesting that you play a character who can back up their mind and memories wirelessly if they are about to die. This was surprising after the main fight sequence when your character wakes up in what I assume is a new body.

While playing today my mission was to kill 2 people that are leading a revolt against the Moroccan government. The idea in killing them is that it will restore peace and make the country more stable. My big problem with this is that depending on who you ask, you may get different answers n whether the government needs to be overthrown. To most Americans, the American Revolution was absolutely necessary. So when I kill revolutionary leaders, am I helping to oppress the people they are fighting to free? And who am I to be making these decisions? For any governmental system, an national government that is not supported by it's people is not going to work. Eventually the people correct what is wrong should the opportunity present itself.

While playing today, my mission was to infiltrate a large mansion. Inside, I was to kill 2 targets and destroy a virus. I think most people would view weaponizing a virus as a bad thing, and thus it's destruction as a good thing. I also killed the 2 people most responsible for it being created. While playing, it is always a good idea to disguise yourself appropriately to get into certain areas. This aspect of the game raises a lot of moral questions for me though. One major opportunity to get in disguised as a cook presented itself to me and I took it. Doing so required me to break into his apartment and knock him out, then steal his uniform and security card. This was the man's first day on the job, one that I am sure he will lose after this incident. I did not kill him, but I did cause a serious problem in his life. There were many other people I ended up knocking out including guards, cleaning staff, scientists, and tourists. I think the biggest ethical question this level raised for me was do the ends really justify the means?
