After playing for another hour I still haven't gotten very far in the game. There was a lot of dialogue and you just have to find items and explore the place more. I'm not really into RPGs so I lost interest in just levelling up after a while. The interesting thing about this game is that this is the first RPG that I know of where you have control over your character during free battles. So during free battle you can run around and dodge attacks. This made it easier to survive throughout the game. I still find the controls to be not so great because it takes forever to get from point A to point B. This could have been a better game if the character was easier to maneuver around objects and if there were more challenges throughout the game.

I thought the storyline of this game was pretty interesting. It starts out with you as the main protagonist, Aya, who is a female New York City cop. She attends an opera on Christmas Eve and the actors and audience suddenly burst into flames...since she is a cop you have to investigate what's going on. In the beggining you have to talk to the main actress of the opera and she turns out to be an evil mutant women thing who talks about mitochondrea (I totally forgot what that is...) and how I should know who she is and that I will be "awakening" soon. Next I was expected to shoot her a couple of times until she talks some more and then dissapears off stage.
So far all I've done is explore the theatre and levelled up by killing giant rats. You only need to hit them once or twice until they die, so so far this game has been pretty simple. I don't really like the controls though because it gets confusing on how to get around the burned bodies and stuff. I also don't like how if you are in a room and walk near the door, it will take you back outside. I think it would've been better if they made you press a button to open doors instead of just walking to them.
I think the only reason why I would continue playing this game is to find out what the whole story is about. It's not really a fun or entertaining game, but it makes you want to know what the connection is between your character and that actress woman. The cut scenes are really short; just glimpses of what looks like the past because there is a little girl laying in what seems to be an operation room. As a play more, I hope that the challenges will be more fun and that the storyline will still be interesting enough for me to keep playing.
