So I played again yesterday, but with my friend on multiplayer. Playing through most of the game in single player mode really helped me improve in multi player. I was pretty good and kept kicking my friend's butt. But that also may have been because he was pretty bad, too. Which was nice. Playing against someone with about the same skill level is a lot more fun than playing with people who know the levels inside and out. After playing for a while, my friend got discouraged because I kept beating him, but he did beat me, too. I just beat him more often. We would play with different weapons each time, and I completely dominated with the lasers. So fun.
Later that night, I played yet again, but with 2 different friends. One of them who knows the game inside and out and is kind of freakishly good. And the other who was about the same skill level as me, but I just kept on running around and not really trying hard, so he did a lot better than I did. Because against the good friend, resistance is futile. No matter how hard I tried, he would find me, and kill me. Even if I was prepared for him and just waiting. He would kill me. It was kind of ridiculous.
All in all, I really like this game. To me, it's fun on single player and multi player. But single player can be really frustrating sometimes. But that's because I'm impatient. I like the fact that this game was surprisingly addictive. And I know I'll keep playing it for a long time. And because you can improve fairly easily when you play often enough, one day I aspire to destroy my friend on multiplayer.

So I started playing Goldeneye 007 a couple of days ago, and am now almost done. But I'm only playing on Agent. It's my first time ever playing it, so I wanted to play it through first on the easiest setting, then go through and beat it on the harder settings.
When I was little, my brother had the game, and I always wanted to play, but he would never let me. So playing now is pretty fun. When I first started and saw the graphics of the players, I laughed, but then I remembered how old the game is, and was really amazed. I didn't really think I would like playing this game as much as I do. I played multiplayer once last year with 3 friends who were really good, and it kind of discouraged me. They kept killing me, and I didn't even know how to open a door. But playing now on my own, and improving is a lot of fun. I can't wait until I'm good enough to beat people in multiplayer.

I played again, but this time with 3 other people. This game is so much more fun when you play with other people. I like that when you play with more than 2 people, it's just the people playing that are in the race. It makes it a lot more fun and interesting. And I love the smack talking that goes down.
After we played all of the races, we played in battle mode. I think that battle mode is great, because it gives everyone a fair chance. It doesn't matter how good you are, or how horribe you are, unless you just can't maneuver the controller, everyone has a chance to win. I love the battle mode. I think it is my favorite when playing with other people. My favorite is the donut, because I always turn right around and go the opposite way of the other players, and then take them out when they come up to me.
I will probably always think that this is one of the greatest games ever made.

    Feb 9th, 2007 at 02:01:00     -    Mario Kart (Wii)

Today I played Mario Kart on N64 in single player mode. I love this game. I'm pretty good at it because last year in the dorms, I played all the time with my friend. What I love about this game is that it's so easy to improve. When I first played last year, I was so bad, but now I'm pretty good. It's come a long way from the SNES version. The graphics are pretty amazing for the time it was made, and when I play, I become totally immersed in the gameplay and the outcome. I get so serious, which is kind of rare for me, and just concentrate on the outcome.
I always choose Toad as my player, unless I'm playing with other people, and someone steals Toad from me. Then I play Luigi. When I was playing single-player mode, I noticed that the computers are ridiculously good. They jump back so fast. You hit them, and a second or two later, they pass you again. It's ridiculous. Especially Peach, and Wario. I hate Peach with a passion. She is, without a doubt, my least favorite character. But anyways... playing this game is really fun, but it gets boring for me after, like, 2 races when I play by myself. It's much more fun in a social context. Not to sound stuck up or anything, but whenever I play by myself, I just go through all of the cups and get first every time. Or at least almost every time. Still one of the greatest racing games ever made.
