After many hours of waiting, I have finally decided that I hate my computer.
I wrote my log on a word doc. Here it is:
Upon returning to my game, I managed to gain two more new battle skills which I am confident will help me in tackling Snowpeak Ruins. This is a new concept for Zelda, but I rather like it.
To acquire secret skills, Link must be in wolf form, and locate a howling stone. Once there, Link must actually howl the melody being played by the stone. This taked a lot of practice, and even now I am terrible at it, but once the song is played correctly, Link is taken into a twilight realm, where he is joined in song by another, white wolf. After howling the song again, the wolf scampers off, and invited Link to find him. This is not difficult since a mark appears on the map. Anyway, upon locating the wolf as human Link, the wolf attacks, and bring Link into another strange realm. In this realm, Link is encountered by a somewhat friendly Stalfos, who teaches him new attack skills.
I have four in total, but my two favorites are probably the finishing skill and the roll attack. The roll attack is much like the one in the Wind Waker, only it takes more timing and more than one button to execute.
Overall, I am constantly amazed by the new skills, items, and tasks in this game, it is so unlike any Zelda game I have played, and yet it still holds true to the overall themes and motifs of a classic Zelda game.
New items inculde water bombs, a fishing rod, and my personal favorite, the spinner. You get the spinner in the Gerudo Prison, and enables Link to scale walls, and my God, it is SO fun. Another cool item is the iron boots, which is not a new item, but rather than exculsively used to sink in the water, these boots are also used to enable Link to walk on walls and even the ceiling! It's pretty awesome.
That's about it, I hope I did this correctly!

I actually started playing this game on December 26th, and stopped on January 3rd once school resumed. I believe I am in the final stages of the game, though I am not entirely sure because this game strays a little bit from the traditional Zelda game layout, that is, by element:
Intro: Link is defined in a small village setting.
Introductory Task: Link is required by someone to complete a favor, or a seemingly small task, which later unfolds into a much larger responsibility.
Prequest: A series of three castles, with one final castle, in which the player believes that completion of the task will end the conflict.
Quest: A series of seven castles where the player is introduced to a more sinister reality.
Finale: The final enemy, again.
The Post-Finale: The finale enemy transforms after death into a more difficult oponent.
Anyway, I played from 3:30pm to 4:40pm, completely absorbed. This game has the classical elements of any other Zelda game, but at the same time, strays so significantly from the classical settings that it certainly feels like a completely different game--and it is. I think the main difference is that this game has the basic structure, but also incorporates the major differences among the pervious Zelda games, and integrates them to create an unfamiliar terrain and quest, in a sense. There are so many new moves, items, places, and characters, it's more unlike than like any other Zelda game before, and I'm going to go play it again and add some more, because I have a lot to say but little time left to play.
(P.S. I wrote an entirely different log before this, but it somehow got deleted in the process of posting it, hense it is so late.)
