    Feb 9th, 2007 at 12:02:54     -    Guitar Hero II (PS2)

    Alright,
So I heard a great deal about this game before I started playing it. Everyone said that the game was genius. So, I decided to check out the game. The game is like ddr except with fingers. I guess you can say you feel like a rockstar while playing guitar hero, but i must say I felt that it was lacking. Maybe because I play guitar, but guitar hero sucks compared to actually playing the guitar. I don't feel like I'm actually playing the songs when I play guitar hero and I'm stuck looking at the screen the whole time so I can't even move around really and jam. I mean I guess if someone didn't play guitar this game would be fun. The game has a huge selection of songs, and you can make it go from easy to really hard.

    alright...
so another round of super mario bros.
The structure of the game definentely becomes more clear as one keeps playing. Like how you have to jump into pictures to get to levels. The levels are brilliant with crazy graffics. I love the sliding levels. Falling off cliffs is pretty intense as he falls into a neverending abiss. The enemies are pretty crazy, too. Way more intimidating than the 3D enemies. They are bigger and scarier. The levels are a bit tricky sometimes because it isn't clear cut how to beat every level. I would have to say this game is a pretty successful continuation of Mario Bros. in 3D.

    So,
This is the first time ever playing super mario bros. I slightly remember this game from my youth, but never did I actually play it. What can I say? It's an interesting change from 2D Mario to 3D Mario. It definentely adds a whole other complication to the game. When first getting into the game, I was confused because there were no instructions on where to go, I was just wondering around the castle. It's kind of a learn as you go game. It got less confusing as I started playing it longer, but I must say the game is harder then it looks. After playing for like 45 min. I got a little frustrated and had to stop. It's an impressive game because of how much more difficult it is then 2D Mario bros, the graphics are also pretty amazing.

    Alright,
so off to another round of soul calibar III. I must say the best part of this game are the characters. Some of the fighters are so crazy looking while others are more human looking. It definentely makes the game more interesting. Their comments are also great, giving the fighters even more character. This game is overall a pretty well-made fighting game, I like how it takes two people to play, because then its a fun activity for two friends, because I don't like the loner aspect to some video games that require only one player. This was the second time ever playing this game and they designed the game so that any beginner can play (doesn't matter if they really know what they are doing), and learn the tricks and skill as they progress. Good game overall I must say
