The second session I had playing this game, I found that it was still a lot of fun, but I became a little frustrated with the difficulty I had in stearing the Katamari, and the difficulty I had with the controls. I still enjoyed the use of colors and graphics. I thought that the sprites used were fun, and I noticed that the music selected for each level was fun and added to the feeling of the game and the general atmosphere of the level. I found that this game, while orignally absorbing, can get a little 'old' after a while as the general premise never changes, you are still rolling a giant ball around trying to collect things.

The first session of this game was also my first time playing a game on the Playstation 2 platform. I found the controls a little bit awkward and difficult to adjust to. That was probably the most frustrating part of the gameplay experience. Other than that, the game was a lot of fun. The graphics were amazing and I really enjoyed the use of color. The basic storyline of the game is that the king of the cosmos, your father, has accidentally destroyed all of the stars in the universe and you have to collect as much stuff as you can on Earth to create new stars and constellations--a little far fetched, but still fun. Generally, I found the game to be fun and absorbing.

The second time playing Pizza panic, and after seeing some of the games demonstrated in class, I noticed that this game is incredibly simple. The graphics and abilities are very limited compared to some of the RPG demos that we have seen in class. None the less, this game is definately entertaining. Although simple, with a simple story-line and instructions to the user, it is just plain fun to ride around on a skateboard and deliver pizzas. I could see how somebody who played a lot of videogames, especially the longer epic-type RPG games, or 3D graphic games would quickly become bored with this, but as someone who has very limited experience with videogames, I found it to be quite entertaining.
One of the logs I read said that they felt that videogames need to be more exciting for older people because older people get bored more easily, whereas kids get easily excited. I dont think this is the case, perhaps instead they have allowed their expectations to rise with all of these complex games available now. Anyway, the game has very limited characters. Basically you, the pizza boy, your Italian boss you yells "good job" with a thick Italian accent, and the people you deliver the pizzas to, who say "Thanks dude" if anything at all. So there is not much dialogue or character interaction. Most of the actions of the game just involve you maneuvering your skateboard around various obstacles and trying to obtain coins and glittery objects in the air. Overall, a simple but fun experience.

I found this game on a list of games for macs. It was very simple, but lots of fun. Basically you ride around on your skateboard and deliver pizzas to people. Since I dont have much experience with video games, I enjoyed the ease of learning this game. I also enjoyed the graphics and sounds. Although it was super simple, there were a lot of little things that made it a lot of fun, like finding the all-important chili pepper on each level.
