I hold this game in very high esteem, being the spiritual successor to "Streets of Rage" by SEGA, because it has everything that made this old school beat'em'up genre so great.
I am, until this day, waiting on a beat'em'up game to dethrone this king of the genre.

I am still working on this game... I played it the week before Christmas and am still determined to help all the little toys, and the family, with their problems... lol!
I will finish Chibi-Robo one of these days. It has just been pushed back behind all of the new games I keep getting...At least I haven't forgotten about it like Herdy Gerdy and Beyond Good and Evil. (Which one day, I will start playing, lol)...

When I find myself searching for a video game's soundtrack, that usually means it is a game that I will never forget. Games like Sonic Rush, Gunstar Heroes, Rez, Space Channel 5, Killer 7, Drill Dozer, Contra: Shattered Soldier, Bangai-O, and many others, all have soundtracks that I find irresistible.
Space Invaders, like REZ, revolves around its soundtrack. Thus, I revolve around this game (lol). There is something about audio and visual synchronization that drives deeply into my soul-- to put it bluntly, or abstractly, depending on how you look at it. Add on top of the sensory aspects; engaging gameplay mechanics, challenging difficulty, and simple controls. There is just something ZEN-like about Space Invaders: Extreme.
I have gotten through about 75% of the entire game, with a few stages (and songs) left to unlock, but I know that I will be playing Space Invaders: Extreme for a while.
