To go with what I said before, I think that wii golf after playing more and more is actually like regular golf, you just have to get better at playing, just like in real life. In real golf, when you first start out playing your going to have a horrible swing and will not hit the ball long and straight everytime, if ever. Wii golf is kind of the same, when you first start out playing, your not going to be the best, but with practice and learning the game, you can become a better player. The characters still are horrible though...

While I was playing Mario Kart I noticed that the game is less about racing and more about cool and interesting ways of "attacking" the other players. You do not have to be the best racer in order to win the race, while great race skills help, the sense of weapons and usage also help to win the game. The game is full of ways for the first place racer to fall behind, allowing for new or poor players who are behind to get ahead.

So I played Madden 07 for the first time in a while today with my friend and housemate. Wow, I remembered why I love the game so much, it came down to a last second field goal, I lost unfortunately, but had a blast doing it. Now I owe him a 40 next time we go to 7/11. Something I forgot to mention in my last GameLog about Madden 07, the addition of the kicking feature for this year is something that they should never take out of the game. It requires a bit more skill than years before, and makes the game a bit more realistic.

Wii sports, what can I say? Well, I was dissapointed in the graphics, nothing special about them. The characters all look like little ball people and are actually a little annoying after a while. The controllers are the coolest part of the Wii, and i guess that was the whole idea, so in that respect, the Wii and Wii sports is pretty cool. I played the game with three of my friends while drinking beers, and the game did get a bit more intense once we finished off the first 24 pack. It definatly brought on the competitive edge that we were all looking to obtain from it, but after a while it did start to lose my interest to the pounding of beers. But back to the game play, my favorite sport to play was bowling, it seemed a lot like real bowling, in that you could put spin on the ball and control the ball speed with just a flick of the wrist. Boxing was another favorite of mine, it was really easy to control and the character seemed to do exactly what I did. As an avid golfer, I thought that Wii Golf didnt cut it at all. Putting was hard to judge and on my drives and approach shots I always had a slice on the ball, even though I know my golf swing and have hit millions of golf balls in real life and can control the golf ball and its flight in the air, yet I could never hit a straight shot on the Wii. Baseball was just batting practice and pitching practice, far from the real sport. I suggest drinking while playing the Wii Sports.
